Title: The washing of the sWord
Post by: marie glen on August 17, 2017, 03:43:59 PM
It's very discouraging for a while, it takes time it seems to me, before our spirit, our mind, is able to read God's Word/promise free of the film of ET!

But then with time, seeking Him and His truth.. reading His Word, searching, studying, whatever it is we do.. His Word is light.. light which operates in the heart and mind. I was wondering on the Word wages, in Romans 6:23 (?) so looked it up on my handy biblehub app on my phone ( ) reading the description given of the Hebrew word, and I'm thinking wages, pay, and to myself outcome.. when lo and behold I read, "(opsōnion) is used figuratively for the eternal compensation (divine recompense) of the unrighteous, in keeping with their earthly deeds" of course implying, well, actually, meaning, ET. But when I read it, it's like my mind swiveled and I thought 'whAt!?'

Which of course is my/our normal reaction, but this time it was different, almost like I was hearing it for the first time. Like I was shocked. :faint:  :laughing7: As if! I'd never heard it before, haha..

I'm just happy to know, to fully realize, there is no ET in God's word/Truth ..logos/eternally coexistent with God.. if our mind will be single our (mind) will be full of light.. O happy day thAt will be!!

 God bless tentmaker for being such a strong encourager and beacon of The Truth!!

...and, I was thinking this.. if the wages, recompense, result (outcome?) of sin is death.. and all those not saved before their death are resurrected.. well. They died. Therefor, didn't they pay the penalty? And Jesus died that they may live.. live and be reconciled! Nothing else makes any sense whatsoever.

Knowing the Father's character is love.. and he is Almighty and nothing can escape His will.. why would He resurrect everyone, when the penalty is death and they are dead, only to have them die again? oR, resurrect them in order for them to be tormented forever and ever.. Well, we already know how totally lacking in logic thAt is.

Nope, it was simply the translator's preconceived (pagan/nonbilblical) notions.. But you know, mankind is able to believe the most ridiculous things!

We KNOW that we have passed FROM death TO life because we love the brethren.
We have been transferred from the kingdom of darkness, into the kingdom of His beloved Son- that transfer points out the new life we have in Jesus- literally born again, ergo the old has passed away/died, the new is being taught the right way.
So yes, the penalty has been paid, but we are individually shown how He covers us as we learn from those mistakes to know the real value of life.

Those who have died will be resurrected to be shown their sins, and to also appreciate Christ's work- then the second death before becoming spiritual like the ecclesia. THEN death will be done away with when everyone is converted literally.

Amen!

I'm actually not sure however, if any persons will still be nonbelieving, nontrusting and nonloving Him (and unthankful) by end of judgment 'day', thus I think few if any humans will go to the lake of fire, called the 2nd death.. though of course all have to die to self and that lower apart / or seeming apart from God self.. by repentance and weeping.. But, no humans in the LOF is just my opinion of course.. As we all know, there comes the day when all will be vivified and made wholly new! :gsmile:

"Because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest," declares the LORD. "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."

"and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.'"

"For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning."

"He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

"You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly."

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

"For if, while we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!"

"who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time"

"God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.Command and teach these things."

"For no one is cast off by the Lord forever."

"For His mercy endures forever"

"Love NEVER fails" !!!  :dsunny:  :HeartThrob:

  Amen!! So shocking it goes so overlooked! :faint: how is it possible?

There is the outspoken and not so subtle.. and there's the subtle.. when we come out of indoctrination.. there is hope! Hope of being free of the negative ideas and doubts they once caused..

Recently my husband and I lost one of our best friends.. we've lost a few friends and loved ones, and I've realized that the reality of death is they are not here.. they are unseen.. the original(?) meaning of the word "hades".. So when Peter on day of Pentecost quoted a psalm prophesying how Jesus would not be abandoned to hades, I was finally able to read it as will not be left as unseen..

Rather than the KJ which says His soul would not be left in hell

great verses.. I am going to bookmark that post for the list!

that He Who is Sovereign Holy Love will have mercy on those who were not His people. He will say to them, "You are My people!" And they shall say, "You are my God!"

I have the opinion that we all have to be a new creature. We cannot stick with our old human that we have inherited from Adam. Babies are innocent but yet they carry the seed of Adam in them that does not allow them to become good people when they grow up. And once they are illumined by the Lord they will have to be born again and become a new creature in Jesus Christ. We all will do this after death at the latest. But Christ gives us the opportunity to live a new life right now already. We can be baptized and become new creatures and live in newness of life. This is the solution even for terrible people like Hitler. Hitler has to die and a new Hitler has to live. Some of us who did not do much evil can keep some of the memories and be happy about it. Because the transition is not clear cut. But generally we all have to be new persons. Some start in this life, with difficulties, stumbling, falling and getting up and repentance. Some have to start after this life when they are resurrected. That is the full plan of God, imho. Making everything new through us who have to be new people too.
