Is the Lord God a real entity of hope or is the Lord God an entity that is believed in, at a  grasp in time of need or just a help for mentality at a time?
When a believer of that Lord God has fallen into trouble, is the Lord a help only in those times of need?
Is the Lord God "just" a hope for a believer or a believers hope and rock at/for a time?
Many speak of His evidence, but, those incidences are isolated within that particular witness, who accepts or agrees with the out come, with one who believes the same way, is that a true witness?
I for one do not deny the Lord God, but what keeps the glue holding? Faith..... Faith is tough to explain to a soul who has no education in belief.
There are so many, perhaps too many denominations who have divided a one god and one Lord.
Deu 6:4  `Hear, O Israel, Jehovah our God is one Jehovah;
[/u]
The Lord is the absolute of reality in the mind, He is always there, darkness is His light, we forget His  omnipresence in the time of our need, which is certainly our darkness. :dsunny:

The Truth is out there. :Chinscratch:

THE LORD GOD, "OUR" LORD GOD , IS OUR CREATOR, OUR ULTIMATE PARENT AND THEREFOR "IS".

THE BEST WAY WE KNOW HIM IS THROUGH THE "LOGOS" , THE WORD OF GOD WHO IS JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF WHO SAID THAT HE WOULD NEVER LEAVE US NOR FORSAKE US .

GOD "BREATHED " HIS  SPIRIT ( LIFE )  INTO US AND WITH OUT THAT SPIRIT ( LIFE ) WE WOULD NOT EXIST.

SO NOT TO WORRY EVER.

GOD IS WITH US ALWAYS AND HIS SPIRIT MOVES ( BROODS, FLUTTERS, SHAKES) US ALWAYS TO PERFECT US.

THIS IS MY BELIEF AND HOW I SEE IT.

Yes  !    Micah , glad you have you back

makes the scriptures  alive and confirm
in our weakness He is our strength !

in my failures  in faith , just as Peter also  confesses   Jesus speaks   and the waters/voices  calm and winds/spirits  still

example of faith when  Peter kept his focus / his minds eye he was able  to be     walking on the water  , not in the water but above them   and only sank when he began to look around him /doubt/sink      , our same minds eye  is also like that too !  keeping our eye single and having the mind of Christ centered on HIM for our help ,  we can than say truly you are the Son of God as well    that is worship in Spirit and truth ! a prayer answered.

And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

Mat 14:29   And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

Mat 14:30   But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
Mat 14:31   And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
Mat 14:32   And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased

Mat 14:33   Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
Jesus is the reward  !!

Yes Julie , God is   LIFE   ITSELF   ,  They worship God naturally  as souls/living    ,  a dead flower  or   dead  puppy  when you see  the breath/life force  is gone out of it  , it no longer  lives  as nature also proves  it       that this life is fleeting  and short  lived and decays
and yet there is more to Gods Glory than this to come and see  !  :dsunny:

ISN'T IT GREAT TO ENCOURAGE AND EDIFY?

And God who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness", is the one who has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

And the earth was without form (chaotic)and void (empty)and the Spirit hovered over the waters, then God said, "Let there be light" and there was light. And God saw the light that it was good and separated the light from the darkness.

Maybe there was no difference between light and darkness till then

Sometimes God has to take us into the void of chaos in order to speak from deep within us where the Spirit has been brooding, birthing, over the waters- a new word. Light is always new :o) Jesus is making us new :o)

"For the word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing to the dividing apart(the veil tears) of soul and spirit,(Let there be light) bone and marrow, making manifest(dividing the light and the day) the thoughts and intentions of the heart. For there is no creature(no one and not one thought anywhere) is hidden in His sight -but all things are open and naked to the eyes of Him(sees through light and darkness just the same) of Him with whom we hav to do.(who is causing all things to work according to the counsel of His will, reconciling and restoring all- each and every one)"
The Logos is complete, but it is not completely understood. http://www.hell-is-a-myth.webs.com/

To this I must wonder, who was the Lord God of Lincoln and the North and who was the Lord God of Lee and the south during that brother against brother war? To whom did the weeping mother pray to kill and let live? Which sides Lord God, won those battles and the war.
Who as well is the Lord God of the united STATES and who is the Lord God of Israel?
Perhaps man, especially today, just has two, too many Gods's. :Chinscratch:

To note, without chaos and voids form of darkness, there would have been no light to create. Thus it is from that what man does not understand, that His goodness is brought forth.
Psa 139:12  Also darkness hideth not from Thee, And night as day shineth, as is darkness so is light.
Psa 18:11  He maketh darkness His secret place, Round about Him His tabernacle, Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.

micah7:9

Not surprised of a no response. My thoughts are as many times accepted as stupid and without thought, right? I do not apologize, the thought is  reasonable but without the a response of reason .
The Southern mothers prayed that their God would kill those who may kill their sons and the Northern mothers prayed to the same God to kill the sons who may kill their sons. What a prayer!
There must have been a great conflict of interest to each God, who must/would I listen to?  Yet same God. The Civil War must have been hell in the Lord God's head. :Chinscratch:

And just who is the Lord God of Israel? The Christian theology belief considers Jesus, but Israel does see Jesus as the Lord God they pray to. Yet, the comforting and embracing of each country goes on. Israel believes in the God of Moses and America believes in Jesus, such a conflict.
The Israelites cannot accept Jesus as the LORD and christians will not embrace the God of Moses as the Jesus. Does anyone see the humor?
I, just me, find all religious beliefs, all of them as man's selfish safe zone, to make one feel better. And a note, most who believe in Jesus, considered themselves already saved, by grace, a teaching which has no foundation. Those who believe in Jesus are BEING saved.
Most christians have been led to believe that the Lord God "created" rather than, the Lord God is "creating," He has not finished what He began in Genesis, He is still creating to this day. He did not create male and female, He is CREATING male and female.
I am by no means back, I, me, myself was hoping that the front on the forum had been moved..forward, but what I observed was an eddy.

I of course disagree with your opinion on salvation and grace - but that's not new.  I'm willing to state it as my opinion/as I understand it though.   It certainly seems you don't accept that the ecclesia is still being saved [growing in grace and knowledge] and will be saved [redemption of the body], yet have already been saved by being given faith to believe on Jesus as Savior - here and now.

I believe the following scrip is part of the foundation you declared doesn't exist, which I see as a clear statement that there are true Spirit-filled and blood-washed believers who are already saved (spiritually born anew) through the gift of faith and grace.  It's Paul talking to the group of ecclesia - the saved in Ephesus;    Ephesians 2:5, "even when we were dead in trespasses, [God] made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)".

Seems like you still don't like the forum much.   Still, blessings to you.

It may just be that you are both right. We have been saved and we are being saved. For example, we have been saved from the darkness of not knowing God. We are yet still being saved from particular sins that continue to plague us until the purifier burns them out of us. Thus we have been saved and we are being saved. Just a thought.  :2c:

I agree with you that it's both.  And then yet the future saving/redemption of our bodies as Paul said.  Micah has spoken for himself.  That's OK, and I don't understand everything.  But I believe there is pretty clear scriptural foundation for it.   :2c:  Blessings to both.

I actually like that a lot Lomarah, I think it's a very good post.

Through the glass darkly, here's how I currently understand it.  Even though micah has disagreed (and maybe others) with the past tense of it, it's actually pushed me to look at it further and consider more than before the current "being saved" aspect of it - not just past and future.  Thanks for that.     When I first heard someone say "saved in 3 stages", I think I pretty much thought it was irrelevant/incorrect.  But it sure seems to have some merit, as evidenced by the following;

Past (and still in effect)
[past/present]              [and future in same verse]
1 John 3.2 – "Beloved, we ARE God's children NOW, and what we WILL be has NOT YET appeared

Eph. 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

Present/current (and ongoing);

2 Cor. 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.

2 Peter 3:18  ..grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Future

1 Peter 1:5 who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Romans 8:23  And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Blessings.

Great posting  Lomarah   and James !!

1Th 5:23 ¶ And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1Th 5:24   Faithful is he that calls you, who also will do it

those three  distinct     parts of salvation    just  might  be, the patience   and wait on the Lord   and faint not   to do this work within us !!
Many scriptures touch on   the 3's such as  3 day and   3 parts  divided etc ..

given much to ponder here  :girlheart:

First of all saved, being saved and unsaved is matter of perspective.

If God planned all would be saved then in  a way no unsaved persons exist. Nobody would say the Pharaoh or the Roman soldier with the whip was saved. But taking God's plan in consideration they were saved before they were born. Jesus died 2000 years ago but is said to be slain at the foundation of the world which was much longer ago. So there are a lot pitfalls when using past, present and future tense.

That said I think there are levels of being saved. The levels are covenants.
People are saved when participating in the servant/slave blood covenant.
Then people can start to progress through the salt/friendship and sandal/inheritance levels. Finally it accumulates in the wedding covenant.
Having various levels of being saved may sound odd to many but it has quite a bit of support.
We see people being resurrected in phases which means they differ. We all know that at a wedding party the guests are welcomed, loved and honored. But they are not the actual couple.

So we are 100% totally saved when entering the blood covenant. Not much is required for that. Just follow orders.
If we want more we have to somehow work our way up to the ladder. And as we progress more is demanded of us.
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

WhiteWings

All that makes me wonder what "every knee will bow" really means.
The usual interpretation is all kneel and pray to the Son and/or Father.
While that's likely is true there may be more to it.

Kneeling, for me, is mostly a master slave thing. (Blood covenant)
Friends don't kneel for each other. They are equal. (Salt covenant)
A bride is honored by the groom. He works hard to steal her heart. If there is any kneeling going on it's by the groom. (Marriage covenant)

Sin is debt. A slave in the Jewish culture wasn't someone that like we often see in "black slave movies". A Jewish slave was forced to work off a debt he caused himself. So could it be that the final round of saving all is enslaving the stubborn?

All will come  to , every knee  bowing  and tongue confessing

I looked up ''worship' and saw this as a form  of  bowing  the knee.

Seems  you can worship the beast
or God it seems to be the only two    main choices
either,  or    in the broad sense    in the  earth right now ,  after looking into Rev 16

Strange to confess  after stuying it  ,I believe I have done both  so far in life as of now   :sigh:
:dunno2:
even more reason for God to save us  though Jesus Christ   here and now , present tense .

26.And when they ask you, 'Why are you groaning?' then say: Because of the news that is coming. Every heart will melt, and every hand will become weak. Every spirit will be discouraged, and every knee will turn to water. Yes, it is coming and it will happen." This is the declaration of the Lord God.

But an hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. Yes, the Father wants such people to worship Him. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

I believe bending your knee in the physical is for the sake of the person kneeling.Try as you might you can not force the Holy Spirit to lead you in prayer.

The women from the North and the women from the South
still get the same results from bending their knees and praying.

MICAH:

SORRY I WASN'T AROUND TO GIVE YOU A QUICKER RESPONSE TO THE CIVIL WAR QUESTION REGARDING THE GOD OF THE USA AND THE GOD OF ISRAEL BUT I WANT YOU TO KNOW HAT THEY ARE ONE AND THE SAME.
IT'S JUST THAT THE JEWS OF TODAY DON'T SEE JESUS AS THE MESSIAH AS WE DO BECAUSE THEY ARE BLINDED TO THAT TRUTH NOW BUT WILL EVENTUALLY "SEE THE LIGHT" IN GOD'S DUE TIME .
IN THIS DAY AND TIME DURING THIS AGE OF GRACE WE GENTILES ARE GIVEN THE TASK THAT ISRAEL HAD IN THE OLD TESTAMENT TIME TO DO THE JOB OF BRINGING KNOWLEDGE OF GOD'S LOVE TO ALL THE WORLD BUT THAT WAS TAKEN FROM THEM ULTIMATELY AFTER THE TOTAL DESTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM DURING  70 A.D. WHEN THE MOSAIC LAWS CEASED TO BE OF ANY EFFECT.
READ GALATIONS FOR A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE DIFFERENCE NOW BETWEEN THESE VERY SAME MOSAIC LAWS AND GRACE.

I WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU TO READ,ALSO, WILLIAM J. WOLF'S BOOK " THE ALMOST CHOSEN PEOPLE "  ' A STUDY OF THE RELIGION OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN " TO UNDERSTAND THE THOUGHT BEHIND HIS DECISIONS TO FREE THE SLAVES AS A RESULT OF THE LEADING OF THE LORD IN HIS LIFE ,OF WHICH I HAPPEN TO AGREE WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. HE ADDRESSES THE VERY QUESTION THAT YOU POSE REGARDING WHO WAS CORRECT PRAYING FOR VICTORY IN THIS CONFLICT, THE NORTH OR THE SOUTH.

LINCOLN WAS OOSED TO DENOMINATIONALISM.  HE WAS NEVERMBER OF ANY ONE DENOMINATION WHILE IN WASHINGTON D.C. BUT HE DID FREQUENTLY ATTEND THE FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH WITH HIS WIFE , MARY TODD LINCOLN , WHO WAS A MEMBER THERE AND OFTEN TALKED TO THE PASTOR THERE ABOUT THINGS OF GOD, ALTHOUGH YOU MUST KNOW THAT E WAS CLEARLY A CHRISTIAN UNIVERSALIST  HAVING WRITTEN AS MUCH AND ALSO QUOTEDAS SUCH ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. HE KNEW THE BIBLE WELL HAVING READ IT ALMOST ALL OF HIS LIFE UP TO THE END. HE WAS REARED A BAPTIST BUT NEVER FULLY ACEPTED THEIR THEOLOGY. HE AND HIS WIFE WERE MARRIED IN THE EPISCOPLE CHURCH , HER CHURCH, BUT WHEN THAY HAD LOST THEIR FIRST SON TO A SERIOUS DESEASE THE EPISCOPLE PASTOR WAS NOT THERE FOR THEM WHEN THEY NEEDED HIM . THE PASTOR  OF THE FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH KNEW OF THEIR PLIGHT AND CAME TO THEM TO STAND BY THEM DURING THEIR GRIEF  WHICH IS WHY THEY SWITCHED CHURCHES.

I KNOW THAT THE SPELLING IN THE PARAGRAPH ABOVE IS A LITTLE SQUIRRELLY BUT THIS WEBSITE IS ACTING UP A BIT.
