Okay, so please bear with me guys. I'm so new to all of this..
I'm thinking though, that maybe, possibly, there is a distinction between the salvational gift through Christ, and the Kingdom of God. So please just go with me for a moment. Like maybe a person can be "saved," but not walking in, and experiencing the ever increasing "Kingdom of God" in their personal hearts. Like I use to think of the Kingdom of God as being the sweet by and by for believers after they have crossed over, but now I'm seeing it as more along the lines of some of us believers now (not all), you know along the lines of "many are called, few are chosen"  in order to draw others in, extending to the ends of the earth. Whats your thoughts? Also if this didn't make any sense, my apologies. Its been a long day. :dunno2:

I used to think of it in the by and by sense too. Paul said this,

Romans 14
17 the kingdom of God is righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

I see three things there as fruit of recieving the Spirit: righteousness, peace and joy. So, unrighteousness, lacking peace, walking in misery and not recieving the Holy Spirit are opposite to inheriting the kingdom. Since sin itself IS unrighteousness, causes lack of peace, and Jesus came to save people from sin, I don't actually separate salvation from sin from inheriting the kingdom. For that reason I don't believe that everyone is presently saved from SIN, or the world would be a utopia right now. Rather, I believe that all shall be saved in the fullness of time from sin.  :HeartThrob:

One doesn't rule out the other and neither are all the same thing.

Imo there are two kindoms. The millenium kingdom of the Son. The everylasting kingdom of theFather to whom theSon hands over His kingdom after all is submitted.

Everyone is part of Father's kingdom.

Jesus' kingdom starts out small. Well the whole earth is His but but let just say few know/accept it.

Salvation is about being in one of the kingdoms.
On one hand everybody is saved even before they are born because theFather set a fail proof plan in motion that is so sure it's a fact.
OTOH many aren't in the kingdom so they aren't saved yet. But eventually they will. How exactly all that will take place nobody know I think. Except for a few Kings living in heaven. The way I view it that the kingdom starts small with a handful of believers, prophets etc. They are quite weak and dorman at the moment. But at a set time Father pulls out all stops and His Gospel will spread like wild fire engulfing the whole planet and all will know. As the fire spreads the kingdom grows. And that fire will even seek out that one lonely lost sheep.

:2c:
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

whitewings, that is my opinion as well. Exactly as I see it all.

I  :iagree: with this too.. except I think revival will come in the midst of the world's sort of shaking or calamitous times.. What I mean to say is, as what man has built progressively crumbles, the crumbling reveals untruth. And reveals that building on untruth, thus without God, is to build on sand thus it always collapses, and so unveils the truth, and is why the Book of Revelation is named Apocalypse and includes prophecy/visions of collapse or calamity (to man's empires) and said collapse and calamity unveils Truth (the memory/lesson of, which will rise up into the ages of the ages) firmly proving good from evil and writing it firmly on every heart and mind (and psyche). God is building a universe of guaranteed joy. Imo.

I think that view doesn't conflict with mine. In fact church attendance is historically seen higher during bad times like war or even stuff like hurricanes. Some/many will be beating into salvation. Jesus drags all things to Him. To me that sounds like many people don't really cooperate. So Jesus will flex His muscles. And the calamities you mention may be part of that.

I think the world has built a lot of its world on sand.. And I believe the Lord is very active any time the sands shift.. and always of course.. the Lord of the harvest..

Prestron Eby does a great teaching on the Kingdom of God. The article is titled Echoes of Eden.

"Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heaven."  This expression, "Yet once more," denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things, so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe;  for our God is a consuming fire.

.."once more..."  :Chinscratch:

It's not only that without God we die, cease to be (because He IS life) but on the way is depravity. All things move. There is constant motion and the motion toward extinction of life - without God's intercession - has got to become darker and darker, as that's the course one's on.

And so we all were, in all the different human degrees, but it was the same road all were on, when "Christ died for us" (in our place) ..and so the world is.

worst case scenario - Anywhere, where there has been a worst case scenario possible, somewhere in the world and time, that scenario has played out.

I'm not trying to be negative. I'm a very optimistic person, even in the worst of times, God always has something, some blessings up His sleeve. It's just that we humans, I think, do not recognize the gravity of the situation. The other day my daughter was talking about two teenage girls she knows, and her words reminded me of what sort of world some teenage girls are stepping off into.

Do you remember Jessica Lundsford? That's one story I'll never forget. It was so dark. It was so evil. So totally depraved. It represents it all to me - the sex slave trade, the wars, bags of tiny body parts in landfills.. So many would like to ignore the times, "let me live my life" they say (subconsciously?) ..Those folks acting up in the Middle East, they're deceived.. Sure! They're deceived, but they're also doing what they do because they want to.

If God's breath is a consuming fire, I think this world has been on borrowed time for some time now. And yet, although things are so messed up, they're perfect. All is perfect - God is letting things run their course, and using it to thoroughly prove what ever it is He is proving (to "all in heaven and on earth." Eph 1:10; Col 1:20)

And we.. ..are above it all! For we are "seated in heavenly places" because "He is in us and we are in Him" and He "sits at the right hand of the Father". (Ephesians 2:6; Romans 8:2,10/Galatians 4:19; Hebrews 1:3)

"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things God has prepared.." (1 Corinthians 2:9)

"The wolf and the lamb shall pasture together, the bear will graze with the cow.. the lion will eat straw like the ox" (Isaiah 11:6,7) "Everyone will live under their own vine and fig tree.." (Micah 4:4) ...are just glimpses.

"Of the increase of His government" (His Kingdom) "and peace, there shall be no end.." (Isaiah 9:7)
