You know how death is always one step away? ..On the road or highway, one swerve away.. At the curb, one step away..
(No I'm not here to make someone all bummed out! :rolllol: )
But it's how lately I've been thinking of the Kingdom, as "being at hand". Both the Kingdom, and His return being always "at hand" and possibly imminent, truly, at any moment.. Always. "Civilization is fragile" being one reason. Also this keeps God's people from thought of their own mortality and keeps (the workers) inspired, motivated and active..?
I think every generation does look for His return.. and I think it is always imminent.. One step away.. just around the corner..
I know Jesus was saying the Kingdom was at hand because of His Presence. And there was certainly a whole lot of evidence of it! But lately I've been wondering if this other may apply too...
