Title: The Crusaders in a Christian Store??
Post by: Tim B on October 20, 2009, 09:05:40 AM
So, I work at this place called Hobby Lobby and it's supposed to be a Christian store and they've got some Christian things and play Christian instrumental music and stuff.

But I noticed something the other day. We sell action figures. And amongst these action figures were figurines of THE CRUSADERS!!!

I mean, seriously? We have a store that is trying to be "ethical" but we're selling action figures that represent some of the most unethical actions taken by man!

I think a link with church/religion is all that's needed to call something ethical...

Eh, that's what ignorance of history will do - kinda the same reason why we celebrate Columbus Day... :laughing7:

Speaking about wrong turn. (movie)
I truely was a wrong turn for the people of "India" when Columbus arrived. I guess they hoped he would leave just as Leif Errikson did :laughing7:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
true enough, many folks are duped, thinking anything connected to church/rligion is ethical, many folks for the most part who go to these stores to shop
would probably think nothing if they saw a figurine of King Harod having all the young boy babies killed or the crusader figurines killing and torturing all who are not members of the official state approved church religion and consider it all ethical because Harod is in the bible and after all the crusaders labored for the official church/ religion and since christian store is selling these items  then these items must be  approved and blessed in some way because the church/religion  is selling them.

Peace,
Fire Walker

Crusaders really loved their religion/God. That's good. But the way they showed it was bad.
Reminds me of commends on a YouTube movie someone on this forum recommended.
The ET was defending slavery (not in the video but the comment moved in that direction)
The reason is that slavery is in the OT. Slavery sounds bad to me but some OT passages seem to indicate the slaves where treated well and where seen as human. Something that can't be said about the slavery from the last centuries. It's so easy to twist and bend a concept in about everything you want it to be.

Seth do they also sell those lava lamps?  :laughing7:

The following is not a hint....
I've read a story of a Christian bookstore that the owner of their store Zondervan is owned by Harper-Collins that publishes porn and the satanic bible quit his just because of that.
