from my notebook:

a new, very young mother:  "I really think I'll be learning a lot from my little baby son--he will teach me many things that will help me be a better mommy to the rest of the babies I plan on having."

I wonder??? maybe we're all teachers/students from the moment we utter our first cry to the day we die...  and in a way, we continue to be teachers even after we die in the memory of those we leave behind.  Well, I need to take a day or two and meditate on the greatest teacher ever:  Our Lord Jesus Christ, Savior of all men...who also was a student (learned obedience through suffering)...

A righteous life resonates for generations...
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.
