Scary when ETers are so sure of their false doctrine that they're ready, willing, and able to make it up as they go along, eh?

I've unlocked it.  I just wanted to pray about Brian's response on that thread.  The example of bad translation in this thread with that is really making me want to exert even greater extreme caution about being precise in what I share; to use breadth in illustrating the truth, but never regarding the exact translation of Scripture.  At the same time I'm deeply concerned that the Gospel be understandable by the general public.  Yes, there are deeper levels, some of which you'll only grasp after many years of stringent discipleship with the Lord, but I'm still not sure that any of us speak with the kind of clarity that we could even about so-called entry level stuff.  The NIV seems to just be further proof of that to where their bumbling isn't endearing but wanders into the grotesque with something like that.  Not the whole translation, I fully realize that and listened to it for hours and hours a week in the '90s on cassette tape.  Anyway, I'm rambling...
