:sigh: I found out that one of my FB Pastor friends and his brother were murdered in Pakistan yesterday. I had talked to him months ago, on the chat feature, when I first got on FB. I look at every "meeting" to be something God wants to do, otherwise I wouldn't mess with it.
He asked for prayer then, told me that things were getting dangerous, houses has been burned, asked me to tell all the Christians here to pray for the Christians of Pakistan, and I posted prayer requests and prayed for him.
Though I barely knew him, this saddens me greatly, and brings home the fact that none of us are promised a tomorrow. Please pray for his family and the members of his church, who no doubt are next on the Muslim "radar".

I am so sorry, Cardinal :crywipe: Violence and war sadden me greatly :grouppray:
That's sad. He's OK now. We need to pray for his family.
Religion can hate an awful lot...
:cloud9: I have several Pakistani pastors as friends on FB and most of them have contacted me and asked for the prayer again, in the last 48 hours, two just a few minutes ago. I can't even imagine what they must deal with on a daily basis. Please lift them all up.....blessings...

Unfortunately, been there while in Special Forces (and many other places), so no need to picture it.
However, you know where my heart is, and "I will be praying." Although we would like to be doing more.

:cloud9: Thanks..... talked to another one last night. They are really scared. I feel so sorry for them and frustrated there is nothing we can do but pray.
Wow, Special Forces, huh.....that's something I wouldn't have tagged anyone as spiritually minded as you to have been in.....God is good. Blessings....

I think the special forces regularly encounter God. Thousands of people praying for them and they encounter life and death situations every day, also the spirit of helping, saving people is what drives them. Rambo is a good example, although violent, yet has a warrior spirit to help the suffering and the needy.

:cloud9: I had a chat with an Indian woman pastor today, who said she and her son pastor in India, and her son was just beaten up by the police there. He told her he was going to preach Jesus with his last dying breath. She told me she ministers to the rural areas where she is. She said they were fasting both to seek God, and because they hadn't food for the last 4 days. She said she does not get any help from anyone, she walks by faith.
I also was contacted by another Pakistani pastor who pastors underground in Iran. He was kidnapped last year by a Muslim organization, and tortured. He said he cannot carry a bible where he goes, and asked me if anyone would help with getting him an electronic one.
I posted both of these on FB.....I think I'm seeing one reason why the Muslim population is growing.....there are few Christians helping the handful of Christian ministers in these countries, who are risking their literal lives and their children's lives, everyday, to share the gospel. It made me ashamed. I am praying asking Him to bless me so I can BE a blessing.
Don't fall into that shame-game, Card.
If you think for one moment that you are not doing His work — you are mistaken.
Rest in Him, Card, and don't let anything steal your peace.
Remember, you are seated at the table of the Lord.
Don't eat anything anyone else gives you.
Including the "news" of the world.
It makes you sick.

We may weep in the night, beloved ; but joy comes in the morning.
