Revelation comes from the Spirit of God, and people tend to be more receptive during certain times of the year.  Not always but it seems that way to me.

I sent out some e-cards for Christmas.  This is what I wrote in them and I had some very good responses.

Hope it may be helpful for some.

We are grateful to our Father God for loving us so immensely by sending His beloved son to be born that blessed morn.
But there was a special purpose for His coming.  :-)

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; Who wills, is resolved, and determined that ALL men be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1Tim. 2:4) For Christ is the Savior of ALL men, especially those who believe" But every man in his own order. (1Tim. 4:10, 1Cor.15:23) Who (Christ) gave Himself a ransom for ALL, to be testified in due time. (1Tim. 2:6)

So we are most Thankful and do Praise, Honor & Adore Him For His Love, mercy, redeeming grace & what He accomplished on the Cross.  Jesus Christ is our most Victorious Savior of ALL mankind.

Have a Wonderfully Blessed Christmas Everyone   :icon_flower:

Not only a great inovation but away to get the truth out rather than celebrating and recognizing a certain time and season! Give the Lord a hand clap as some places request! :happyclap: :happyclap:

A way to get the truth out?  That's what I have been saying.  Generations of children have been taught about Christ by the beautiful Christmas carols.

At the risk of wading into a hornet's nest  :laughing7:, I'll guess (from observation) that the MAIN sticking point with vehement objectors is the common current cultural image of Santa - with other specific "Christmas" things gradated to lesser degrees.   :dontknow:   :2c:   OK, shut up James.  I'm out!    :myahoo:
The oldest known manuscripts agree with each other 99% of the time.  The scriptures, accurately translated, Spirit revealed - reliable.   Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.  Heb. 12:2

Nothing in this brothers offering that mentions anything stimulating a day or season. This card could go forward in the US mail or in this case email, any given day and there is rejoicing in the very words he offers. Perhaps he had your day in mind, but I find the wonderful fact that he sent Words of Truth, rather than the typical xmas pater. My opinion of course.

outpouring

Please forgive me,  I guess I wasn't real clear on what I meant about getting the truth out.  Please no offense intended, Molly.  Please allow me to lay some background.

I was brought up Catholic and had a real desire to know Jesus and thought the only way I could do that was to become a nun.  When I was young, I was told by the priest that only he could understand the scriptures and also the nuns.  Years passed and the Lord moved me by his Spirit to know Him personally with out having to become a nun.  I realized that he was living inside of me after His Spirit made it clear to me that He loved me no matter what.  I did not repent when that happened to me, because I did not know to repent.  That came later.  I left the Catholic faith, and started to go to other churches.

I had a real hunger for the Scriptures.  Yes, Jesus was taught and the songs were beautiful.  But again I was told that the pastors were the ones that knew the Word and that I would not understand them as well as them. I was told that I didn't hear from God and that I was deceived.  I was getting mixed messages, that Jesus saves but if you don't get saved now you were going to go to hell.  I believed that for years.  Also attended very legalistic churches.  It seemed to me that if God sent his Son to save all, then why were so many going to hell.

One day while reading the Scriptures, something beautiful happened to me.  I remember the words "It is finished" I was so humbled I fell to my knees and wept most of that day.  His presence was with me so strong and I experienced His love and grace like I have never experienced before.  It is hard to put it into words but it was like God opened up my understanding that Jesus was truly the Victorious Savior of ALL, that is ALL of His creation.  It was truly finished, He accomplished what He came here to do.  By his death and resurrection, Jesus Christ IS the Savior of ALL mankind.  Not just a few

Before, I believed that He was a savior of only those that accepted Him in this Life Time making most of His creation heading for a horrible Hell. Wasn't long after that that He lead me to meet the Amiraults.  I was so excited, I thought I was the only one that thought that way.  However, by studying the words like aion and olam and others really helped me to get grounded.

What I am trying to say is, I tried to share my experience, that Jesus is the Savior of ALL and the whole Hell thing.  My Christian friends were not too receptive to the truth of our Victorious Savior.  I found that there seemed to be a more receptive spirit to that truth during Religious Holidays.  At least it seemed to me.  That's all.  But again, I believe that this revelation is given by the Spirit of God.

Those that are suppose to receive this truth will, and those that are not, won't. At least not yet.  But Praise be to God.  The True Gospel of our Most Victorious Savior will not lose anyone.  For in Adam all die, (past and present) even so in Christ all shall be made alive (is future and has yet to be completed) (1Cor. 15:22) but when all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who has subjected all things to Him, that God may be ALL in ALL. (1Cor. 15:28)

Wooo Hoooo :girlheart:

I hope that helps :HeartThrob:

It could.  But, he's sending it out at Christmas, which is what the title of this thread says:

Some people are more receptive during the religious holidays.   Which I believe is also a true statement.

So, you see, there is no difference with the Christmas carols--or even something like Handel's Messiah-- which could also be sung at any time of the year relating to our Lord's birth, but people are more receptive to them at Christmas.

Christmas carols and Handel's Messiah are not 'patter.'

Not sure what you are getting at Molly,

What do you mean from your first post on this thread: A way to get the truth out?  That's what I have been saying.

I am new to this board.  So I don't know what you mean "That's what you have been saying."  I can only suppose you have been saying something on another thread, which I am not privy to.

We all love Christmas Carols and Handel's Messiah but this message of a totally victorious savior with no one left behind is what I was getting at on this thread.

I was referring to the message of the truth of Jesus being the Savior of All and not just for some.  This message is not very well received by most Christians, as they believe there is a Hell and that Jesus would like to save everyone but apparently can't or won't.  However, He Wills, is resolved, and determined that ALL MEN (people) be saved especially those who believe.  Those who believe during their life time but He also meant everyone, all of Creation will eventually be saved.

PS:  I, (outpouring) am not a he.     I am a she   :girlheart:

Many blessings to you

outpouring, since I stuck my nose in, plz let me clarify a little.  there's a been a big honkin' thread about Santa, with Molly saying the Christmas season can actually be a blessed time, with a true spirit of love, giving, helping , etc. present.  Others have taken other views - some quite strong.  When you posted what you did, and micah commented about it (micah has taken "the other view" on the Santa/Christmas thing), then Molly was saying "that's what I've been saying", i.e., there can be good things about it...etc., etc.

So, welcome into our little Christmas discussion

The world is receptive to the spirit of religious holidays — but that spirit is not Truth.

Thanks for explaining that, Jabcat.

Outpouring, I think you are on to something, and I like the idea of 'Savior of the world'  Christmas cards.  Of course, Jesus is called Savior of the world in many places, but somehow people just ignore it or miss it.

'the Christ, the Savior of the world' John 4:42

And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
1 John 4:14

1 John 2:2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

Or my favorite because I remember it from my childhood when I knew he was going to save the whole world before I became too worldly to believe it--

"Behold, The Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world!"  John 1:29

:thanks:Thanks for the fill in Jabcat I get it now

and thank you to Molly

Hope this ties things together a bit better on the subject.

In Luke 19:37-40. . . the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.  Then the Pharisees asked Jesus to rebuke his disciples. Jesus said that even if he had his disciples hold their peace, the stone would immediately cry out.

Rom. 14:5,6  One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. . . . and giveth God thanks.

In Num. 22:28 the Lord opened the mouth of an ass to speak to Balaam . . .

1Cor. 9:19-22
For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.  To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

I bring up these scriptures because it does not matter what day it is because the Lord can use anyone to speak into someones heart.  God's Spirit is everywhere and can work on any given day through a willing vessel even stones or an ass.  Most of the time we won't see the fruit, those words could be seeds that will sprout someday.

True, the whole truth is not in Christmas it is in Christ.  Christians have accepted this pagan holiday as a day to remember the Birth of our Savior.  Most of us even know that the Messiah was not even born in December.  That is not the point.  The point is, God does not care what day it is. He wants us to give the truth in love, and to be all things to all people.  We have an opportunity and even permission to speak into someones life on more receptive days like religious holidays.  Even if we don't agree with those holidays, many people do.

I don't try to persuade people to my way of thinking or anything.  I tried that.  It doesn't work.  LOL  anyway.  The Lord opens up the heart for truth.  Those who are searching will find it.  We get to be bearers of good news.  Just like Jesus, that news will be rejected.  I count on it.  It is wonderful though when someone gets it.

Rejoicing always  :hiya:

I know what you mean Cardinal,  I believe God used that song for you.  He has done the same things with me.  Music has a way to reach into the soul. I didn't mean to minimize the music at all.  The Christmas season seems to touch people and God knows that.  In fact, I invited a family to the church I was attending years ago to an Easter play we were putting on, and the whole family accepted the Lord.  It was after they had experienced a near death of a bother of theirs.  They love the Lord and I am blessed to see that.  God uses many ways to draw people to Himself.

In this thread I was speaking about introducing the truth of our Victorious Savior and that ALL men will eventually be saved.  But again, we all are drawn by Him and those that are seeking the truth will find it.  We are all used of God in some way or another.  He uses Good and evil to accomplish His Plan.  He created both.  Not that we should call evil good but he does use it.   :HeartThrob:
