A wee something to share with you.
If you drive about 45 minutes from where we live, you are up in the hills. It's quite a barren and rugged landscape and up on a small hillock there sits a pine tree that has been hit by the wind and storms so much, that it has taken on the shape of being wind swept. I could see how the Lord orders the right conditions to shape us how He wants us.
The winds that prevail upon us are (pneuma--breath). These storms are sometimes hard to bear, they can be poor health, loss of a loved one, loss of income and on adinfinitum. The cool thing about that little tree is that it is alive even though it has been tested. Because of the pressure on it, it has caused it to sink it's roots down deep. (into Christ)
That little tree(and it's testimony) has encouraged me on many occasions, so much so that it causes my heart to rise in praise and joy.
