Seeming contradictions in the Bible.

        I thought it would be interesting to have a place where folks can present scriptures that seem to contradict each other, at least prima facie , so we can talk about it.       I think this can be very helpful,  particularly for  new believers who think certain scriptures contradict each other.  And the truth is,  we just need to understand how to harmonize the scriptures!      
    I'll  get this started with something that came up while I was discussing salvation with someone who was defending ET.
I  quoted a scripture which supports the salvation of all.  

1 Timothy 4:10
  We trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

The other person responded with this scripture which seems to contradict.

Romans 10:9    If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

The one confessing in the 2nd verse is in the category of "especially those that believe" in the 1st verse.

Here's the one that ties them both together;

"For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.  Each in his own order..."  I Cor. 15:22,23

And also Isaiah 45:

22 "All of you who live anywhere on earth,
      turn to me and be saved.

      I have spoken with complete honesty.

   'Everyone's knee will bow down to me.
      Everyone's mouth will take an oath in my name.'

   All those who have been angry with the Lord will come to him.
      And they will be put to shame.
