Ok, I'm confused.  So, Satan is locked up for 1000 years...saints are resurrected to reign with Christ but the other dead stay dead at that time.  Are the saints reigning with Christ over an empty earth...over the dead who stay dead?  Or are there people who do not have to experience the temptations of Satan?

As far as I know, the part "The rest of the dead lived not until the 1000 years were complete" was added later, something that should not have been done.

Revelation 20 speaks of nations and people, who are deceived by Satan, and who are as the sand of the sea.  That's a lot of people, and we are not told where they come from.  I can only guess that the "we who are alive and remain," written of by Paul, pertains only to the saints, not to the general population.  I also guess that the non-saints are left on the Earth to live and reproduce, and in 1,000 years, rebel all over again... :2c:
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

That's the sense I get too, Lazarus..

...with the 2nd resurrection (an, at least for a time, inferior one where they have "died in their sins" thus raised the same) coming after that final rebellion.. along with also the final judgment/review..

I get the sense that God repeats the lesson over and over, not only in each person's life, the same story, and the overall human history, the same story, but also this final rebellion.. the same story (lesson)..
