I was just on CARM yesterday for only the second time in a few years,  and I went to a page where Matt has posted some pretty nasty comments by U.R. people.  The page was  "Samples of Universalist Posts from the Universalism discussion board".  It kinda bothered me, because he was using these posts  as a reason to criticize.  Basically he was saying that because of all these negative comments that it shows that U.R. is not right somehow.   But thats quite unfair of Matt to say that because those comments were made during the heat of debate,  and nobody is perfect. I'm sure that the nastiness was not coming from the U.R. side only.    It sure is a shame that those debates had to turn into what they did.  But still,  for Matt to judge U.R. negatively based on some people losing their cool in a debate, is not right.   U.R. was only poorly represented.  I guess I didn't have a question.

Let  me change to a more positive note.  I saw a utube video of a debate between Matt Slick and an atheist.  It was good.  Matt did very well. And I thought he was much more respectful than the atheist,  who was a lady named Kelly from the Rational Response Squad site.  Although I'm not saying she was bad or anything. Just not as respectful as she should have been in my opinion.  Anyway,  if you would like to hear a good defense of faith against atheism here is the link.

Matt knows he can never convince the UR people. He has used his best arguments and they are all refuted. So he just tries it another way. To be fair this forum also has: http://www.tentmaker.org/forum/rebuttals_carm/

About the second post about the atheist. There several types of atheists. Some just don't believe. Others make a religion out of non believing  :laughing7:
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

I'm quite sure of that too. Matt just conveniently "forgot" to mention that.

I could easily put together a site called "Samples of negative remarks made by ET believers". There's a lot of material on the Internet for that. But I think my free time should be used for something more constructive.
