Psalm 6 NIV

Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger
or discipline me in your wrath.
2
Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am faint;
heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony.
3
My soul is in deep anguish.
How long, Lord, how long?

4
Turn, Lord, and deliver me;
save me because of your unfailing love.
5
Among the dead no one proclaims your name.
Who praises you from the grave?

6
I am worn out from my groaning.

All night long I flood my bed with weeping
and drench my couch with tears.
7
My eyes grow weak with sorrow;
they fail because of all my foes.

8
Away from me, all you who do evil,
for the Lord has heard my weeping.
9
The Lord has heard my cry for mercy;
the Lord accepts my prayer.
10
All my enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish;
they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame.

I am literally in tears... of joy.  :HeartThrob:
Micah 7:7

But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.

John 15:5

I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Blessings Eduard ,      :HeartThrob:
I love   the psalms   and David as beloved of God and man  after   Gods own heart .
  Suffered  much  in this life , but still understood God loved him and He   the FATHER    , nothing in the world , could separate this Love .
Jesus is the reward  !!

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Amen!! "He turned His face for a moment.." But what joy cometh in the morning! I can't quite think of the line I'm thinking of.. or trying to think of, that is.. It's the whole story.. of mankind.. for a moment we wandered away.. But His steadfast love is eternal..

I heard something the other day and thought (toward the Lord) 'I don't know if I can take it' ..to hear of anymore sufferings or great crimes, etc people suffer under or have suffered under, and it came straight back to me how He (being every where present and imo, being life itself) sees (and feels) all the sufferings, indignations and great and 'small' evils which ever occur.

What infinite patience and long suffering.. To put Himself through all of this in order to create what it is He is creating. (Imo, an un-breakable paradise/perfection. And surely? the best of all possibilities.)

Imagine that was a portrayal of Christ suffering for us.
What He went through crying tears which drew blood.
The anguish of being on the cross.
But the end result;

" All my enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish;
they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame."

Psalm 27

Of David.
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. 3 Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident. 4 One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. 5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. 6 Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD. 7 Hear my voice when I call, O LORD; be merciful to me and answer me. 8 My heart says of you, "Seek his face!" Your face, LORD, I will seek. 9 Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, O God my Savior. 10 Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me. 11 Teach me your way, O LORD; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors. 12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, breathing out violence. 13 I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

Amen.

I have taken it to heart, when looking for Jesus  in everything    Psalms and praises    :HeartThrob:
  That being the Love of God manifested to us  HIS SEED /WORD OF GOD  ...

For me ,  it softens the hardest of hearts  and begins to dissolve those roots of bitterness
  that makes   one empty and full of  misery  and self loathing  to  CHANGE ..

To a beautiful thing . an awaking LIGHT of  truth ,   seeing things from every perspective  , considering everyone  , not just one , your own .

The Rose   by Amanda McBroom

Some say love is like a river that drowns the tender reed

Some say love is like a razor that leaves your soul to bleed

Some say love is like a hunger, an endless aching need

I say love is like a flower and you it's only seed

It's the heart afraid of breaking that never takes a chance

It's the dream afraid of waking that never learns to dance

It's the one that won't be taken that cannot learn to give

It's the soul afraid of dying that never learns to live.......

When the night has been too lonely and the road has been too long

And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong

Just remember that in the winter, far beneath the brittle snow

Lies a seed that with the sun's love, in the spring becomes a rose.

All  the tender shoots that spring forth new life ,

  from  the     Word of God    that Lives ,

  that died /making new seeds  from one of a KIND  SEED ,MANY

and lives again trough you and will be in you  and gave  itself  for you   , that you might Live   in   and though Him ...

  Seeing this in the spirit is it beautiful  and   seems important  to   share   , but seeing from the carnal mindset , it seems silly   to even bother .

I have known both  in the times of learning    what LOVE is and means  , When  the Lord  Jesus Christ becomes your everything  ..   :HeartThrob:

I think we can be   truly happy when we are  trying our best   to be  pleasing   to Him .   Obedience  has great reward   Psalms 19

The Heavens Declare the Glory of God

The heavens proclaim the glory of God.

    The skies display his craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak;

    night after night they make him known.

They speak without a sound or word;

    their voice is never heard.

Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,

    and their words to all the world.

God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.

It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding.

    It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race.

The sun rises at one end of the heavens

    and follows its course to the other end.

    Nothing can hide from its heat.

The instructions of the Lord are perfect,

    reviving the soul.

The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy,

    making wise the simple.

The commandments of the Lord are right,

    bringing joy to the heart.

The commands of the Lord are clear,

    giving insight for living.

Reverence for the Lord is pure,

    lasting forever.
The laws of the Lord are true;

    each one is fair.
They are more desirable than gold,

    even the finest gold.
They are sweeter than honey,

    even honey dripping from the comb.
They are a warning to your servant,

    a great reward for those who obey them.

How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart?

    Cleanse me from these hidden faults.

Keep your servant from deliberate sins!

    Don't let them control me.

Then I will be free of guilt

    and innocent of great sin.

May the words of my mouth

    and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing to you,

    O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. :dsunny:    :HeartThrob:

I think you ask a great question  Aerex   ..
I just want  you to please  consider one thing    though .
  Many times our enemies  and greatest opposers    against God are within us   ,
I do believe I would want them out , destroyed etc ,     Yes, even reconciled   with God if it is possible .
If a person does not see that a man of sin is in them   , and they look outwardly to  see  him
  they have really been blind to the fruit of their own doings ..  and deceived their own hearts .   Just my thoughts  and there is some scripture  as well .

If it is metaphorically like our carnal nature sure but other than I wouldn't want anyone destroyed. It just concerns me that Jesus didn't really rebuke these prayers instead uphold them.

I never pray such prayers nor do I seek justice for God but rather that helps them understand. Does God hate me because I am not vengeful like David or even Jesus? There are some things about God I refused to imitate and this is one of them. If God ask me to kill someone because he/she disgraced God I wouldn't do it.

  Hi  Aerex ,

  Death is    holding   many   from Living  ,   death is the last enemy to be destroyed  ,

   To be carnally mined is death    ...

  You have the right idea       in your first sentence .

But

JESUS  represents the LOVE OF GOD  the  Tree of Life .

  The enemies are Killing Life , not the other way around ..
God is the one who stops this   from happening   Deut 32

If you think about it... all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Paul said himself that he was chief among sinners... :cloud9: :Peace2: :Pray:

Amen! that is most surely true!! ...and if Paul could say that..

------

"destroy"

I'm thinking we humans can have a tendency to think of "destroy" as annihilation.. but when it comes to people (outward, not my own id and ego being played by moi, or by a dark minion) destroy can be anything from financial devastation to one's entire life falling apart.. to death (as we know it)

I think in the case of the seven nations God destroyed which had been thriving in the promised land before Abraham got there, those folks were heavily into human sacrifice.. the religion was sex and violence (go figure) sex rites in the groves, etc, and then i suppose a few unwanted babes resulting.. This was during civilization cradle years.. when so much would be descended from it.. It was mercy to so many of the future that these seven nations were so diminished.

And the flood, of course, the word says every imagination of the heart was evil.. and again, it was cradle of civilization age.. Everything else would grow out of that time.. {I sometimes wonder if the nephelim weren't human predators.. even sort of like vampires.. given how we know how much satan&co loves blood.. :faint:

And a clue too, i think is how Father said to Son about Tower Babel when all mankind was building it instead of dispersing like He had told them to - "see what they do? soon nothing will be impossible to them.. let us go down and confuse their languages".

Left to their own devices, would likely have destroyed humanity long ago.. (as we see the more the world becomes 'one' - sharing technology, etc - the scarier ride it gets to be..)

When it comes to my own id and ego evil tendencies (or if not 'evil' as the world thinks of it, flawed impulses, etc) they will be totally eradicated! They have to be. If God is life (and what else could be?) and if He is perfection, which of course He is - which strongly implies UR! - then, imperfection is the opposite of life. God really doesn't have to "destroy". He's just (imo) letting things run their natural course.. How else would good from evil (life from death) ever be proven? (to all those in heaven and earth)

And in that natural course, the wicked are destroyed, contrary to any rich or opulent life they live for a time. Whenever they go through the redemptive/repenting process.. they will be "destroyed" (broken, praise Jah!). The truth of evils done, oppression, etc, will - in a sense - yet a very real sense, will 'destroy' them.. "for a moment.. a little while.."

  Thanks for the   comments  Eduard and Marie .. :banana: :banana: :thumbsup:

I know   THE battle against power and principalities in high places  , these are  thoughts in our minds   that destroy   the WORK OF GOD  THOUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT ...
We are warned not to quench , put out  , Like a fire  , a good fire to  destroy those  contrary thoughts worldly thoughts  , with a flood of lies and mans ways satan's opposition / adversaries /stubborn/hard / unworkable  .

BY the renewing of our minds  , to have the same   ONE MIND of Christ that was total obedience to the will of God and   allow this holy work though you as a member of ONE BODY   BEING  , THE BODY OF CHRIST !!

  Ironically  ,   leaving   those believers at the feet of JESUS CHRIST on the CROSS  , Being enemies   in our minds still ......

to be carnally minded is DEATH  and all about the   flesh and blood  bodies that inherit    death   ALL DEATH     the opposite of LIFE   ...
  The carnal mind is good at  bringing death  to all LIFE IN THE SPIRIT  ..

    THE horse and rider   Rev 6 The Fourth Seal: Death

7  When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, "Come."

8I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death;

and Hades/UNSEEN  was following with him.

Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.....

   A SICK HORSE [SPIRIT ] POOR IN SPIRIT   and rider    would be anyone   and everyone born of woman [mankind]  you are of your father the devil... those works  opposing all that is good   ,,,,,,

I will always believe until you take and eat the book  of Life   , and allow this sweet on the lips and  bitter in the belly      judgments to come and  cleanse the inside of the cup   basically    within you   ,

  You can never even begin to    digest / consume   the WORD OF GOD  , eat my Body and drink my Blood that you may have LIFE IN YOU ....

  A living sacrifice is that Spirit of God , that HOLY  ONE within you doing the works of the FATHER &SON    =SAME WORK

   ,,, as it is written and heard and  applied to our hearts   as serving Him in Spirit  &truth ..   and in ONE ACCORD   IN THE WILL OF  THE LIVING GOD .

  being subject/ dealt with by Him JESUS CHRIST IS HIS NAME ,and  to HIM    bring (a person or country) under one's control or jurisdiction, typically by using   the force of HOLY SPIRIT OF LOVE  to guide us all  under His   power  and hid in HIS BODY   AS ONE   graceful &   powerful FORCE IN   control over death /nothingness .

Paul   as with many ,expounds the   very word of Jesus Christ   though all the experiences he   wrote   down for our examples  , in the  trials and errors and  victories  in Christ and results     and outcomes .  of obedience  verses disobedience     .
