Hey all,

I had a dream last night that knocked me out of my sleep and it is still on my mind today which I believe is because it means something...

Any insight would be great!

Dream:

I was in Mexico with my kids, we go back to the place we parked my car to see that it had been stolen. I knew that I had many valuables inside my car and also knew that I left my purse in the car which would have the information on my drivers licenses as to where I live and that the "bad guys" would be going there next.

I knew that since I was in Mexico and that the system is corrupt that it would not be safe to tell the police or anyone else but to just get us out of there.

End of dream

Anyone have an interpretation?

Hi there.

I'm Only Truth (Fred's) wife.  We both read about your dream and got the same meaning from it.  A lot of people have been having dreams lately which they can remember because God is speaking to everyone.  Often we are so busy during the day that God speaks to us at night.
Whenever you have a dream about a vehicle it represents your ministry.  The type of vehicle and the color of it are important.  The fact that your identification was in the vehicle means that not only has your ministry been stolen but also your identity (either it has been stolen or is under threat of being stolen).  Mexico represents a foreign land and the police represent someone in authority.  It may be that you are only to turn to God as the One who can help you, as the people in authority that you trust are not who you can depend on anymore.
Recently I have had a lot of dreams about vehicles, and God has been using them to warn me of what is coming and to prepare me.  He is calling all of us to walk out of Babylon, though it's not always easy to do because we have to leave everything that is familiar and totally trust Him, kind of like being in a foreign land.
Be encouraged - no weapon formed against you will prosper and God is your ultimate protection.  He'll fight the battle for you.
If you have any questions let us know.
Kingdom Blessings!

Hey OnlyTruth :girlheart:

You are correct in what you saw, I noticed that too - the car and what it meant.

Car - is my ministry, all my valuables (What is important to me) and DL which is Identity) has been taken -- so my ministry which I found my identity and all thats important to me has been stolen -- this is the case yet I didnt feel like it was stolen as I laid it down for a season because I didnt know if it was even God anymore.....????

I believe that there is no one in the religious system I can speak to about this as I believe the system is corrupt and only one can see it when they are "out".

So the question is, this dream  nailed it on the head about my life -- was it a dream to tell me and warn me  that the "enemy" (whatever that is, and I dont think I believe in a devil or enemy) has stolen my identity and ministry or is it just a dream that shows me how I feel inside?

Thanks so much for helping me out!!

Hi Lover of Truth.

I'm grateful we could help you - the Holy Spirit is the One who gives us the ability to see these things.  I can give you an example of where God used a dream similar to yours to show us something that had already happened.

We were very involved in supporting a certain ministry (I'll keep names out of it) when the leader fell into sin and it came out into the open.  We were told by God to forgive them, as he was in total repentance, and that they should be restored back into leadership as soon as possible.  Another man saw an opportunity to take over this very large ministry and used blackmail of this leader to do it.  He preyed upon people's hurt and unforgiveness and exploited their weaknesses so he could gain control.  When he had done so nobody in the building could even mention their names.  Their pictures were removed as if they had never even been there.  It was horrible.  My husband had a dream around this time, and he was in the parking lot of this ministry, and the vehicles had been stolen.  God gave him the word that the vehicles of this ministry (the ones He had chosen to use) had been stolen.

I don't know the circumstances you are in, but I think this dream pertains to what has happened and also something you need to be watching for.  God will take you through it and as long as you keep listening for His voice He will show you the way to go.

Be blessed!

I wasn't expecting this to touch on my life in any way, just clicked here out of curiosity, but I have had a recurring vehicle dream.

It's a big red dodge truck. It has appeared in several dreams. All I can tell you is that I don't like the way I feel when I see it. I'm not the one driving it, and I have yet to see a driver-- just the truck.

Any ideas what that could be about?

onlytruth

hi re your red truck dream
could use a little more detail;
weather ,the setting
familiar people?
emotion -angry ,sad,discouraged?
usually a reoccuring dream is- God trying to get your attention.so if you feel okay sharing we would like to give some insight. blessings :icon_king:

QuoteWhenever you have a dream about a vehicle it represents your ministry.

This makes a lot of sense about the vehicle being a symbol of our own personal ministry.

I had a dream once where my car was very small, and instead of wheels I used my feet to get around.  I enjoyed it, but once I got out of it and left it I realized that it was so small that someone was able to steal it very easily and just carry it away from me.  I remember being very upset and frantic about this.

On a side note, for the past couple of years I've had repeated dreams of tsunamis.....so for those of you who've had tsunami dreams.....hope this helps.

According to Carl Jung, a tsunami dream is very significant. It is one of those great "archetypal" dreams, meaning symbols which are universal across all cultures. A tsunami is supposed to be a symbol of some great spiritual change, the washing away of the old and the beginnings of new growth.

I am not sure what is going to be washed away but I feel to have an internal tsunami is sort of cleansing somehow.

"Since water in dreams often symbolises our emotions, tsunamis generally represent repressed emotions which can no longer be held back, or an emotional situation which is about to burst into the waking world."

She says the common response to a tsunami dream is for a dreamer to run away from the tsunami (sounds practical to me). But she also suggested trying to face the tsunami as a way of dealing with whatever emotions they represent.

Makes sense to me! :)

I live in Arizona, but dreamt my house was on ocean front property. I was looking out my picture window thinking,"I'm ready for a change." Then the ocean became boisterous and overtook our house and washed it away and then became calm again. As the house was floating away, a friend of mine and myself peeled back the roof like a can of sardines and saved our children. The children, ourselves, and the foundation was all that was left on the shore. I remember feeling relief.

Hey Sarah...thanks for sharing this.  It sounds to me like your dream was showing you what really matters in life.

Sarah

Yes Abraham that is true that it did reveal the only things important in life. It also gave me perspective of the house in the rescue. I believe the house represented our life/the job and routines that consitute a daily existence. I didn't realize the dream was also prophetic. Since that time everything has changed regarding my husbands job, or lack there of, our relationships with those we hung out with due to divorce. It sounds horrible but in reality my family has grown closer and refocused in our pursuit of spiritual growth.

Thinking about a car meaning a ministry, In my mid twenties I dreamt that I was on my way to church in my old Geo Metro and I was in a slight accident. Ironically the accident was bigger than I thought and my car was completely turned the opposite way (180) and totaled. I remember looking for my shoes. Anyway, as I was being examined by my sister-n-law she removed a splinter out of my eye. Then I remember walking through the crowd of members of our church and I was overwhelmed with how much they cared and loved me and I loved them. Then I came to my husband who I was looking for which I felt to be Jesus. I couldn't believe the overwhelming love in His eyes for me. He had 2 gifts for me. First was a treasure chest with something in it and behind it was an amoire loaded with cakes and sweets. I couldn't remember what was in the chest because I rushed past it to see the amoire. I dreamed that a long time ago and I still think about it and wonder if it was something for that time in my life or if it applies today at all.

Dreams, yes, vehicles, yes, symbolic points can be at work.

Not often but I had the same dream occuring from time to time though less often now than it was 10 years ago when it started, in fact sleep comes to me so deep and sound these days I rarely have any dreams now that I can recall conciously during my waking hours.

I drove tuuck for thirty years and we used to have a long truck  and then a long draw bar then another trailer, another long draw bar and a third cargo hauling trailer, so we hauled long and heavy loads. Anyway in this dream  climbing grade up a mountain pass, making a corner around a long bend, in looking in the rear view side mirrors I could see the last axle of the third trailer getting onto the edge of the pavement into lose gravel and then going down dropping of the road on that side and starting turning over then hitting a large long raised burm somehow turning the trailer back up right onto its wheels and then back onto the road at the completion of the bend.  at that point in this dream I would always stop in a pull out strip along the road beyond the summit on flat road get out and go check the last trailer for damage and finding none I would return to the cab and fire the engine up, slowly pulling out getting under way working back up to speed in a mile or so and at that point the dream always ended.

I pondered the symbolic message of that dream as it reoccured for such a long time
and then the pieces came into view coming together:So I have not had that dream now for months, used to be it reoccured twice a month or more when it first started. And yes, though I was not a church goer, I had friends who were always after me to join their church, then when I told them I trusted that  Christ is the saviour of all always has been and is the saviour even before we were in this world , that all shall be saved in due time and not by our time our friendship get tested, I was the one being called a follower of a devil by my two friends and only going to church could help me and bla, bla bla, it was after I told them that I couldn't bring myself to join a church that preached prefomance based works for salvation or face hellfire damnation that our friendship parted ways, they were the ones who pushed away.  this dream started occuring right after this time in my life., and yes I went through some very testing inner struggles for a few years
because I had nothing personal against my  friends and I missed their companionship  it was as though they were afraid to be around me anymore and that was painful to me.

This reply may not help with interpertation of your dream but maybe it just might so I am going ahead and posting it, there does appear to be a connection between the labor pains of spiritual growth and these dreams with moving , could be walking, riding bicycle, flying, boating, cars, trucks, trains, horse back riding you name any mode of physical traveling in dreams and they symbolicly represent being moved along from one point to another on our journey through this world.
