We are closer to the return of Christ: things are going to be like the days of Noah. In those days there were interactions with angels and the sons of God.
This is pointed out in Genesis chapter 6.
There will also be dreams and visions.
We are to watch for this to happen, but not to join in with the things they do.
One of the most positive things about knowing that all will be saved is that those who are currently under the control of these spiritual influences will be missing out on the joy of the first who will be resurrected. They will be shown the error of their way in the next resurrection after the 1000 years in the next phase of life.
We can answer questions for people, but they won't listen or like the answers.
Either way, Christ will have them in their place at their time, just like us.
