Hello,

this has been on my mind for years, that my family does not believe in Jesus (except my mother). I'm not such a big prayer warrior and can't always pray about it. I'm sick with schizophrenia, living in a group home.

I also think of members of other religions, they are not such terrible people. But if they do not believe in Jesus ... what will happen to them? It's like I am responsible too and feel pressure.

But it's mostly my family. I have three sisters, each with children. None of them believe in Jesus and are either agnostic or atheistic. But they are kind people and hurt nobody. They have also helped me often.

After my dad died (he was an atheist too), I had a dream of meeting him in heaven and I kissed him and then I saw an angel smile. This gave me much hope. But Paul and the others speak about the need of faith a lot.

What do you think? What should I do?

Two of my closest people are staunch atheists. I don't think we have to worry. And I think I have proof - other than the straight forward verses like Jesus saying He was going to "draw all to Him" (Jn 12:32 - words in italics are added by the translators). Others may not think of my 'proof' as proof, but I do :) If Jesus with His first advent fulfilled the ancient Hebrew spring holy days then the fall ones describe his long 2nd one.. got run for a bit.. will be back to continue..

This is one of those major points of interest and is, I.M.O only realised when the revelation of all being saved actually sinks in to our mindset.

What should I do?

Churches have led us astray from the teachings about the ages to come. Unfortunately they only talk about heaven and hell- never talk about the Great White throne, or  the new heaven and earth ages with accurate detail.
I.M.O we do not worry about others salvation because they will be taught "IN PERSON" by CHRIST, at THEIR APPOINTED/ALLOTTED time. They too will be truly converted just like we were.
My brothers and my sister are stalwarts in their beliefs- one with his master of religion, one with his bachelor of spiritualism, one with her degree in psychology; we all grew up Baptists, but we all vary in our beliefs. Only since being made aware of all being saved in their own time has the worry for their conversion disappeared; after all they are in greater hands and work than I could ever achieve.

Oh! I forgot I was going to continue my thoughts.. I don't know if anyone thinks of it like I do, but if Jesus fulfilled Passover, by being the Passover lamb which takes away the sin of the world and was the unleavened bread [of life!] (in the grave 3 days and nights) and is our Sabbath (Hebrews ch 4), also part of Spring Holy Week - and is the Firstfruits of God - which fell on the day following the regular Sabbath of Spring Holy Week.. "Christ the firstfruits" - 1 Corinthians 15:23

....then why are we not to assume the same of His long second advent - of Trumpets (of the Book of Revelation/day of the LORD, and the one blown at His return) and the Great White Throne Judgment up until He submits the kingdom to the Father who will then "Tabernacle with mankind on Earth"..

Trumpets - 10 days / 1000 years later - GWT judgment 'day / Day Of Atonement - 5 days / 500 years? later - Tabernacles - Holy Days Spring and Fall - Leviticus 23

Day Of Atonement DOA - was a national and collective day of --- you guessed it! repentance and reconciliation!

Absolutely, totally, completely, without spot or blemish... the list goes on. One of those key-type things.
Repentance being a change of mind has to have the correct information brought to light.
Paul makes that observation to the Corinthians.
1 Cor 4;5 " So then stop passing judgment on anything before the time, before the Lord comes.
He will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will disclose the motives of the heart.
At that time, praise will come to each from God."

Powerful time. Major changes. All for the good.

We can be good examples; pray for others; be there for others when they are in need or want to discuss something; and let them know that they have our unconditional love. I think that covers it. We must always depend on God to do whatever transformation needs to be made. And, we need to look to God to see what our role should be, in their lives.

D.
7"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened....

Matthew 7:7 -8

Thank you for all the encouraging comments. I wish my family would believe in Jesus but at least they can pick up the faith later. Do you think they can pick up faith after death? The bible says Jesus is our advocate with the Father. Does that include intercession after death?

That's exactly what I believe.. and is exactly what Christian Universalism (Universal Reconciliation) believes. The "fire" which burns is that which purifies.. we are being baptized with it now.. others will be later after death and resurrection (Rev 20) though it may not seem apparent if we've been taught otherwise. My thought is, it's the very last verse of the 'day' of judgment chapter, that all not written in the book of life -  which to me means, all not believing.. but after being resurrected out of their grave, and witnessing and experiencing a great 'day' of review/judgment of all history.. who's not going to "believe"? And that's the magic, all powerful thing right there. I suppose to those who were like a hitler, large or small, the burning may indeed burn a little hotter.. as it should! But it's all God's witness.. his letting things run their course so the truth of good and evil (life and death) can be utterly proven (and deeply engraved upon every heart, mind and psyche! As I don't suppose he wants to babysit us all forever and ever..)

I believe salvation of "all" is all through the bible.. especially that slim volume of the New Testament.

Here's is an excellent link to a list, here in the forum which lists 77 Salvation of all verses - http://tentmaker.org/forum/rules-and-faq/77-ultimate-reconciliation-and-renewal-scriptures/msg118063/#msg118063 - So very well worth reading

Consider how many people died before Christ came to earth. The Jews were NOT trying to convert them at any stage. If they were to be going to hell why didn't the Jews preach to others?
Adam and Eve sinned, but were  not then tried to be converted, or threatened they would be going to hell if they didn't love God.

We are shaped in this age by what we go through, and many have gone through hard times; but they seems to be  because people in positions of power have been incorrectly using that power for their own good. The people under governments can not be held responsible for that, but can observe what has happened.
This time we live in now is exposing more of those bad decisions and the bad stuff. What used to be hidden is being exposed thanks to the technology which has brought us on-line, so that we can be brought in-line and the things done in darkness brought to light in front of all mankind.
I.M.O the resurrection will be the start of the next stage of learning, and will be in stages so that ALL will literally see why we were created and what position we will have among other heavenly beings. Plus there is much more to look forward to than to live in this age as if this age is the only one we have.

:friendstu: I can't imagine how heartbreaking this is for you.

You live the example of the indwelling holy spirit of God and your unbelieving family will see that. My suggestion is live the example of fruits of the spirit. Don't try to talk your family into faith. Live it and let them see what it does for their loved one.

God remember calls whom He will to His Son. It isn't in your hands. It is in God's.
Peace surround you. And God's will be done.

I think there will not be positions of authority. Consider the foot washing by Jesus. That means we will be one and we will be soft and sweet to each other always. And then our job, to garden the universe and to make life rich and beautiful.

:cloud9: All means all. He loses no one but the son of perdition (Satan). Pray for them, that's all you can do. Every man in his own season, and some will not come to fruit until they fall to the ground LITERALLY and die, but all will come to fruit (Jesus Christ). As David said, where can I go that You are not there? No one can remain the same in His presence; that's a fact. Rest in that. Peace
