I never thought I'd thank the Lord for a blizzard in North Dakota - it's been a long winter; the snow came early and stayed. It was just starting to melt down (I'm suffering from "cabin fever" bad) and overnight, another foot of the stuff.
The blessing hidden in this blizzard is it has allowed me to spend alot of time on this website.
The articles are absolutely excellent, and to date I have only found one I take some issue with, and even that one was well written.
Then look what I found and read:http://www.tentmaker.org/articles/a-war-prayer.html
By Mark Twain
I've always liked Mark Twain, and yes I know his real name.
"Everybody talks about the weather but nobody does anything about it"
But until yesterday, I never knew the gem: WAR PRAYER even existed - Thanks so much.
Friends, we have a valuable site here - I do love this place. :dsunny:

Twain must have known that when you kill your enemy, you are killing yourself.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.
