Title: If you could talk to any Christian, which would it be?
Post by: Zach on August 30, 2007, 02:25:33 PM
I'm excluding the apostles and Jesus here, because that makes the question too easy. UR or not, it doesn't matter. Personally, I'd kill for a chance to meet with Elhanan Winchester; alas, I'm a couple centuries too late for that. I would have liked to have met C.S. Lewis as well.

The Samariton women Jesus met at the well who had many husbands and was living with her current man.  I've always wondered what happened to her life AFTER she met Jesus and went into town to tell about her encounter with him.

I would love to meet Abraham Lincoln. I really admire him and the stance he took for Jesus Christ. I truly believe he was an anointed man of God and I would love to find out when and how he became a uni.

Origen, of course - even if I'm standing in a pretty long line behind Carl Sagan trying not to get too big of a buzz off of Carl's pot smoking while he's waiting his turn to talk with Origen :laughing7:

Otherwise, Elhanan Winchester

:cloud9: Never thought about it before, but hands down, Paul for the NT. OT people; now that would take a lot more thought........

Laurie, she probably does represent the "deceived" soul, Eve, the mother of all living
in the natural, I would sure not say she didn't represent "Christians" who still allow
the "man of sin" to sit in their temple and say that "he is God!"

Never thought of it that way before, but "HE" did come to her rescue.........
and wooed and wooed her til...........

She, like Esther, stood "in faith" and as the 3 Hebrew children, not really knowing whether
she'd be handed the scepter or the 3 Hebrew children not knowing exacty "what' the fire
would do, she kept following on.......

til......

I wonder if one day, she didn't "make herself" ready!

In all seriousness, either some older members, like the ones who posted here, or even St. Gregory of Nyssa.
