Title: how to fend off a demon?
Post by: anti_nietzsche on August 24, 2015, 10:06:20 AM
How would you fend off a demon that is plaguing you all the time? I see this weird small head that comes to me often and hear either unintelligible or blasphemous words from him. He tries to get into my thoughts so I would have blasphemous thoughts. Yesterday I listened to some good christian music and the demon came and I praised Jesus and prayed to the Father and after 15 minutes it went silent and I could sleep. Today it is rather quiet compared to other days. It's like the demon has gone. But I do not know, he has been silent sometimes before.

I often feel as if UR is a challenge because I might want to mingle with unbelievers and get a false sense of security. IE, God wants me to pursue righteousness so I would not get into judgment at all, but if we believe in a soft judgment afterlife even for sinners or unbelievers, we might want to go the soft route and give up on righteousness because it can be hard to pursue.

How would you handle this situation?

:cloud9: Plead the blood of the lamb of the covenant over yourself and curse the root of it and command it to be cast into the fire of the living God, in Jesus's name. Read this to it out loud.....

Luke 10:19  Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Resist the devil and he will flee. Blessings....

Hello, I wanted to give a small update.

I've decided to try to fast and to pray about this demon. At least this is what Jesus prescribed can drive out some kinds of demons much better than mere rebuking it. And this demon is sort of dumb, he doesn't get what I say and just hisses and utters barrages of nonsense or blasphemies when I rebuke it. So today I am starting to fast and to pray about it. I remember a time about 4 years ago when I didn't eat for a week and became so spiritual and when things were so intensely good for a while. Maybe that was because I had fasted too.

I hope this will work. Please include me in your prayers. Blessings!

Hi

When I try 'formulas' of rebuking, or try not to think certain thoughts - they usually get stronger. When I try to reason against it or try to kind of 'prove' the evil thoughts are wrong, I feel like I end up actually having conversations with it. According to my husband the goal of the demon is often not necesseraly to get you think or feel the evil things, but rather to distract you and keep you busy fighting it all the time and giving it lots of attention.

What 'works' for me is some advice from my very stable husband.
Don't argue. You might use a scripture or truth to oppose the lie, but don't keep on quoting (you'll find yourself doubting/discussing). Just one statement to remind yourself of the truth. When lies/feelings or whatever keep on coming, just say no. No, no, no, I'm not going there. And/or: just ignore the thing.

Last year I struggled for several weeks with the most horrible thoughts. I was very focussed on getting rid of it and it just did not work. Finally I just broke down into tears and just cried it out to Father, HELP! No longer my strength to fight, the fight became His. Just crying out to him, not as a work like hours of prayer, but actually as a quitting to work and just falling down at his lap.

Hope this helps you somewhat. And I pray God will teach you to be as a little child, totally dependent on Him. See yourself like that. Helpless and in total need of HIM. That's what salvation is all about: Him saving you and not you saving yourself.

Prince of the Air[powers and principalities in High places]

I kne w a man, a common man,not religious.  He called me one day,and was concerned about a matter, and shared it with me.

He had this 'disgust' in him for overwight/obese people.  He told me..'I was eating at a chinese buffet..and in come 3 generations

of obese females. Grandma/daughter and grand-daughter...big bigger and biggest.  He said' such awful hateful horrible thoughts about

them and in regard to them, filled my mind. AND SHOCKED ME...I was shocked at these thoughts that come in my mind.

..and this was what disturbed him..the hateful despising judgements in his mind.

I told him.  Bill...you do not have to agree with those thoughts/or let them be part of who you are.You can reject them...what

do you know...you may have picked them up out of the air. Also, I told him...that as far as I knew....and the rest of the world....

that nowhere in the bible did it say that God had appointed him to be the  judge of  people's flesh.   We both chuckled over that...
.

I have heard them speak really stupid suggestions to my mind. God can 'turn up the volume" and you will hear them..but mostly they

speak on the subconscience level.  My little grand-daughter was terribly tormented of them for several years.  They were always

accusing her and calling her filthy names and trying to force her to kill herself.....

If ye do right, will you not be accepted?sin is a demon..crouching at the door..his desire is to rule over you,but you must master it [Genesis 4;7]

part of the curses for disobedience in the OT was demons possessing your children..........because of our first father's disobedience

in the garden..all Adam's [man] in corrupt image have been troubled/afflicted by them. The dominion over them/sin is through

Jesus Christ.   Jesus told Satan in effect 'get out of my way of walking in obedience to God's will"  'get behind me satan..ye have in mind

the things of men..not God"    the last enemy[power of satan to put to death your flesh..then do nothing else] was met and overcom

in Jesus Christ.  and greater is He that is in ye..then he that is in the world..a n. He gives power and authority to walk right over them

if they get in your way ..and leave them with their head crushed behind you.

Death has no sting...Because of God...o'death I shall be thy plagues.

Rev 16;17  the seventh angel poured out his bowl[[of God's wrath] into the air,and out of the temple came

a loud voice from the throne saying,'IT IS DONE"

Hold up the shield of faith- Christ's faith. That is Christ has set us free from any rights which they attempt to use to justify their presence. Ergo ' In Jesus name and authority go away.'

Wear the helmet of salvation- know in your head that you are saved because of Christ.
The breastplate of righteousness- protected from damnation because of our position of being right with God because of Christ.

This will be a time of learning for you. We are to learn to judge angels, so we need to be shown how the work.
Whatever happens, you are a son of God because of Christ. No demon can change that, just distract you.

Today is day 2 of fasting. I ate a little bread for breakfast and some salad in the evening so it's not too radical. But I notice it in my belly that I haven't eaten much.

It seems like I get stronger from fasting and the demon gets weaker. I eat from God when I don't eat food, that thought came to me repeatedly. Now and then I say a prayer.

It's like finally I'm finding deliverance. The demon gave me awfully bad feelings sometimes. Now it's only a third so bad.

Remember that after all this temporary harassment and disciplining, you will be MORE than a conquerer.

I have a mild case of obsessive-compulsive disorder, and I struggled with intrusive, blasphemous thoughts for years. I recently wrote an article on my blog in which I describe how I experienced freedom from this problem. I had to tell these thoughts that they could not harm my spiritual state, even if they were to bring out all their ammo. These thoughts get their power from the idea that, if you don't resist them, they will pull you away from God. In my life, I attributed these thoughts to the inward sin nature rather than demons; however, if you think demons are the source of your problem, I believe you can apply the same principle. As a believer in Christ who has been baptized into His death, you have died to the dominion of evil, so tell the demons that they hold no more power over you than they hold over a dead man.

Here is my blog article:

I pray that you soon experience deliverance,
Samuel

I dont believe Gods judgements are soft. I believe God is very passionate and when sin has a grip on a person, He will do whatever needs to be done to remove it..in His time and in His way...and it can be extremely painful, but healing and freeing in the end. Noahs flood, was not soft judgement, theres many examples of fierce, powerful judgements in scripture, but I am assured they are all done out of His passionate love for His creation.

Hello again,

I wanted to give an update to my struggle with the demon.

Today God for the first time made really clear to me that I am much more favored than a demon. That a demon is really evil and unrighteous and that men are normally not like that at all. That God sees a difference between them and us. And yes, we are sinners, but we also have a conscience and we do think about doing right and wrong. Man is a mixed bag of both good and evil, demons on the other hand are always evil. And in the recognition of this difference, and that God sees it and recognizes it too, I can have peace.

The demon was sometimes hard to beat but with this realization that had taken years for me to really grasp, I feel like I am coming out on the other side finally. I know what my sins were, for example the porn addiction I had struggled with for about three years now, and I know this was wrong. But still this is something different than tirelessly oppressing a feeling human being like this demon had done to me so often. I mean, I had to go into a psychosis group home because of these things and my schizophrenia itself was very difficult. This is in large part due to the demonic oppression that I had struggled with. I know I invited some of it in in the careless times of my youth when I was an atheist and once dabbled with satanism even. But I had recanted it early and the demons are worse than men, they glue every mistake on you and want to destroy everything good in you and in the world in your eyes. Or, even worse, they twist the grace of God into something that appears so enormously difficult to handle when it's simply the unmerited favor of God that does not lead to something bad.

And I even got some grace about my deceased dad from God today. My dad was a good man in terms of morals, but he did not believe in God and refused to let us pray over him when he got sick. I don't know if it was because of that, but sometime later he died by a heart attack. Since that time I didn't know where my dad went and went into UR theology. Today God is telling me that He is love. Only that the devils and demons are evil and deserve our condemnation, but not men. God went as far as telling me that Hitler had been a possessed person. God would have considered his awful sins Hitler's possessedness. And that even in this case where Hitler wanted to die because he could not bear the multitude of his sins on his neck, God let Jesus forgive this man and put Christ's blood on him and let him live in Heaven where there are Saints and Angels of another calibre than here on Earth. It was absolutely awful, also for our God who is so sympathetic to our sufferings and Hitler caused much suffering.

But still, God's ways and thoughts are higher than others and if He wants to forgive someone and makes sure that this person will then do his best to become a good human again, then who is to be against it?

In short, the UR hope is the best hope we have, that we all get saved by God and that no mother or father has to weep for their children. And in Heaven we will know that and then have a lasting foundation upon which to build, with God, a more sanctified and holy life!

God bless you today richly!

Daniel

PS

God tells me to write a book or website about this struggle. Would you read it?

 Daniel....I,too, wittness to what He has revealed to you.  He makes a great distinction between men and demons.......

I will have mercy on whom I have mercy.....and this mercy and restoration of all men is through His son.

on ATONEMENT DAY the final thing the High Priest does is confess all of Israel's sin's onto Azazel's goat...who is then led forth

from the city/lead into the wilderness...and shoved over a precipice....never to enter the Holy city again..

men are as sheep....evil spirits as goats....and Jesus will seperate us all as wheat/tares,sheep/goats........

the LOF is prepared for the devil and his angels....the Kingdom is prepared for men...redeemed by Jesus Christ...what was lost

  by Adam .

Daniel, I have not experienced something similar to demonic oppression even if I have felt guilt and weariness, and I agree with you that we must realise what demons are and what we are according to the Bible and that God really will not leave and forsake us. And another important thing is that God knows us perfectly, while we don't know ourselves, let alone God, completely. God is truly great, more than we can imagine now.
