The Hebrew word for face is paniym, literally faces (plural).
When we think about God, we tend to focus only upon one of His faces at a time. God is love or He is holy. All these faces are His at once; and so the word paniym accurately reflects the truth of God's multifaceted being. As we get to know Him better we begin to appreciate the complexity of His nature and the fact that our focus on one face is a very limited view, since there's so much more going on in His amazing Being.
I like to say that He is multi-layered and multi-dimensional.

My friend Laz: it always is a delight seeing you again. I trust you are continuing to present our multi-layered/dimensional Lord on C.F. For some unknown reason I am not allowed to post on the site. Please give my greetings to Saint Steve & Shrewd Manager and those who proclaim our triumphant Lord of reconciliation.
Yes, I am often on that site, and I have noticed a few more who see as we do. You should contact a mod there and ask for an explanation.
