In my search for truth I have come across Christians who describe having experiences where the Holy Spirit gives them a feeling - sometimes negative or like a caution feeling - that the certain Christian teacher or Christian speaker that they were going to listen to on YouTube would not be a good idea. I have considered this to be a good reason to suspect that these Christians are in the Truth as it appears they are being guided into all Truth, or moreover, to stay away from that which is not.
My question for those at tentmaker is that - have you ever had experiences where you sensed the Holy Spirit guiding you to an experience of Truth, or to avoid a situation that was not. I would love to hear some stories as I'm especially interested if the Holy Spirit has ever gave you this "caution" feeling, as I've only really heard ET Christians - or at least I think that they are - talk about such experiences.
Thanks
Andrew
Hi Andrew! ..Ive been studying for a little over forty years, so perhaps my experiences are these days a little different - tho wsy back there wasn?t youtube, lol. I do remembe back then anytime I tried to read the popular prophecy teaching books, I only got so far and just COULD NOT read any further. So.. yes I think that?s the same - a warning in ones spirit.. The Spirit of Truth stands up, so to speak. Especially if we know the verses.. And the overall message. (Such as knowing the UR/CU verses, when we hear some preaching foaming over into something like ?God will burn all you sinners forever? we know the person is borderline loony. Haha, yes I?m serious! And feel some, to much sympathy for them! Because, as we know, the Truth is so glorious.
These days I like to think most error becomes very evident before too long.. This helps also as you can learn some good things, if you can weave the false threads from the true threads of something. (I?ve always figured there has to be some or at least one true thread or the ?tapestry? of untruth will fall apart right away! That doesn?t mean I have to waste my time on things which I know have more untrue than true, but that is just an idea I find interesting.)
I made myself my own bible reading schedule to let myself ?enter the story? more is how I think of it.. blended the gospels into two six month readings and the letters of the NT in the order believed written, and those are my two main daily readings. Some years I read through the prophets, also in the order believed written which makes a big difference in understanding.. Acts and Revelation are by weekly readings, and Psalms has its own schedule of Jan, 1-20, Feb, the 20?s, March the 30?s and so on. I LOVE this schedule. I use biblehub.com to look into the original wording and words, its interlinear word for word with links to the original words and meanings..
:Chinscratch: I think it?s a thing if the Spirit of Truth also that soon enough it seems apparent translators have loved to run with the meanings of ?some? words as they have with some scripture verses.. Maybe aion COULD once in a while allude to ?forever? - maybe, but no way ?forever and ever? and ever, lol.
AnD, of course often LOVE to use the most extreme possible usage! Oye, it?s a miracle isn?t it! That anyone of us have any inkling of the Truth! Praise the LORD that He is able to give us these nudges you too have noticed. I think of the world (and church/es) as being in a state of rampant confusion (mystery babble on the forehead/psyche! ..as opposed to the TWO groups in Rev.7, one counted, one too many to count. The line we all need to get into! lol, Rev.7. Yielding, yielding, yielding ourselves to the. Lord.. kind of like falling to our knees and casting our crown OF LIFE at His feet.. A strong symbol in the Revelation vision.
This is my schedule if you should be curious - https://inner-monastery.blogspot.com/p/daily.html

Interesting response Marie Glen.
I find it interesting that the Bible says that He will "show you things to come". And by stopping you from reading that book - would you say that it was His way of saying that He would teach you true prophecy in the future?
Also your response reminded me of this UR book I read called "Heaven's Doors" where the author says that he gave the manuscript for his book to one of his pastor friends to read, and the pastor could barely get through the introduction before a heaviness came upon him and he couldn't read anymore...
I appreciated the authors honesty in putting the objections he had to his book but it also made me wonder even more why people seem to be guided in different directions...
I find that very strange too! And even recieving confirmations from Him, I still always know, that I coukd be interpreting things in error. As I know a big thing prophecied is the rampant confusion we see, both in the world  and in the body of the Lord..
But our best safety is in abiding in His Word as He said, by living on, chewing always our daily Bread.. sopped/saturated in His Spirit, aNd by using ALL pertaining verses.. And using logic. I love logic, and we should. It?s root word being Logos.
Like the ET/ETC thought on one hand God is Love
On the other hand will burn someone alive forever.
On the one hand, He -is perfect- Mt.5:48 and -all knowing-
But will lose 3/4?s of humanity.
Add that to the 77+ straight out UR verses - https://tentmaker.org/forum/index.php?topic=15293.0
So what is keeping strongholds/dregs of ET in people?s hearts and minds? I think the solution is in Rev.7, when we think we?ve yielded all to Him.. gotten down to the very floor of our being.. that?s when we need to tear up floorboards.. What I mean is the answer to everything in life, is more of Him.
I think when all the puzzke pieces fit together - as to whAt He is doing - WHY he is doing it - and HOW he is doing it, it is a picture that takes our breath away.. I?m convinced one day there will be a moment where ALL creation is before Him, at His throne in utter silence. So in awe shall we be. And rightly so.
He is Love (Life) and Perfection. Beauty, Truth, Intelligence.. and Logic.
But fo now.. land of confusion. But the sWord cuts through all confusion., not ppl, not teachers, books, videos.. they cAn help.. some of them.. If written by someone who actually knows that sWord.. Which should be the state of each one of us.

My response to this is: people believe what they want to believe, they believe in what makes them feel good, or feel right.
But I myself look at it as it is not a matter of believing right and wrong (in the context of someone is right and the other is wrong), I see it as where they are in their walk. The reason I believe this is because of my own experience of fully believing in the doctrine of ET, but when I studied the Bible on my own, it would tend to contradict what I was being taught, therefore it always led me to the question "What if?"
A righteous judge listens to both sides of the case as if they are both truth, and then base's his final decision on the evidence presented. But if you only view the evidence through the mind of the world (or what you were taught) you can never expand your understanding beyond what YOU WERE taught. Therefore, what you were taught ALWAYS limits you to thinking beyond it.
My experience in December of 2005 led me to study, I was given a hunger for it, but it wasn't until two years later, after I was indoctrinated into the ET understanding that (I believe) God led me to study it harder, away from the distractions of men. And He did that by using a hatred for my job to do it, to get me into a job that I would constantly be by myself, in other words: ALONE WITH HIM.
it wasn't until He got me out of the doctrines of the church I was going to (which limited my understanding) that He led me to UR and this website .......... and the rest is history ...... HIS STORY
:2c:
Amen Jugghead.. I can totally relate.

I would love to quote you on this! If you give me permission, and as quoted by you (your name here) or not as you would prefer.. What do you think? In forum(s) or groups I mean.
No problem MG, permission was not necessary, but thank you for the res
