Title: Growth
Post by: ded2daworld on October 15, 2012, 10:49:38 PM
I was reading some older posts and read one that stated he would be leaving the forum because
he felt that there had been no real spiritual growth among the members.

If we grow spiritually and no human notices... does it count? (I know you don't gain weight if no one sees you overeat) :laughing7:
Did this leaving person grow?
Did they help others here in the forum to grow?
If we are reading and discussing scripture and doctrine can we grow?
If we do grow rather than regress, can another person always tell by our posts?
If we don't attend an ET church, where is the fellowship of other believers other than forums like this? :dunno2:

Growth takes time, and maybe this leaver did not stick around long enough.  Besides that, feelings cannot be depended on.  Maybe the leaver was looking for rapid growth, and thought if he/she saw it in others, some would rub off.  Their loss.  My cow, I'm 62, and have grown a lot, but have a ways to go yet...

Some of us are called to be as a sparrow ALONE watching and praying (Ps 102:7)  many of the OT prophets were very much alone  for instance Jeremiah....

Some of us are called to  where there are two or three gathered IN MY NAME, there am I in the midst

Some of us are called to share via groups ...

Lets PRAY for each of us to be very attentive to what the Spirit is saying to each of us individually...   that we may continue to GROW in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to Him be all glory now and forever.
