God Sees the Heart

There was a season in my walk where God started to show me how He views his children. Each time He showed me another "view" I would get an incredible sensing as to how He felt about us.... I could "feel" His heart. It changed my walk and was a big part of God showing me who He truly is, an incredible Loving and Merciful Father who delights in His children. A Father who has incredible compassion for the hurting and even those who are rebellious and act up.

It started with the first vision:

One day while reading the word, suddenly I got a picture of something I did before I received Christ. For that moment I saw just how terrible that thing was, I could see myself, right there where I was all those years back, what my thoughts were and I wondered to myself how in the world could  I have thought this was ok to do? How come I could not see how bad this was? This did not come as a condemning vision but God spoke to me and said "At that time you could NOT SEE" "You did not have the ability to SEE".

This vision really spoke to me, for God was saying that I had no ability to see. If I had no ability to see, was I responsible for what I did?

The second vision came only a few days later....

I saw a picture of Jesus on the cross and He says "Father forgive them for they know not what they do".  I then heard God say to me "They really did not know what they did".

The third vision came about a month later:

I was watching TV and it was during the time when the Muslims where rioting over the Mohammed cartoons.  I saw Middle Eastern men shouting and shaking their fist, filled with anger in front of the camera. I then heard the Lord say to me "These men where once little boys like Matthew (my son) with hopes and dreams for their future but their parents taught them anger and hate, anger and hate and this is the fruit". I sensed Gods deep love for them, a love that hurt for His children, a love that knew "why" that person acted up the way they did and despite that, He grieved for them, His children He loves.

We seem to always look to the "outside". How people act or what they do, yet God sees deep down inside and grieves for the heart of His hurting child.

This season changed the way I saw things, never again would it be so easy to look at a person and judge their actions without knowing that their rotten fruit was caused from a deep seeded hurt inside... would I have compassion for them knowing that God hurts for them?

The other thing I go back and forth with and that is, if there are places in our life that "We can't see" then are we truly responsible for what we do or do not do?
I don't think I will ever have an answer for that, but for some reason, the Lord thought it was important to show me this, maybe only for the sake of Loving His Children More.

PEACE AND LOVE :girlheart:

I think I won't easily forget what you wrote about God telling you that you couldn't see what you were doing. I think you hit on something deep---
