I was just re-re-reading this verse Gen.3:22 and and I was astonished. When Jehovah said... And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
was it just something for information or was it more of a revealed satisfactory statement that from the time man was formed, trees planted, all the beasts named, woman was made, they ate of the tree, they became ashamed, tried to hide and THEN Jehovah says with a tone of satisfaction, B E H O L D! the man is become one of us...... let the creation continue.

It just jumped out that way, Jehovah is expressing that, thus far His plan is working. Of course it is but my opinion because I believe He had every intention for the woman to be deceived and nothing has gone awry even to this very hour. Any thoughts? :Chinscratch:

IMO, all the stuff you mentioned didn't necessarily happen in one day.
I DO think it's an excellent verse to show man DOES NOT have an "immortal soul" because they did not partake of the second tree which would have put them living forever in a sinful state. But, because of the first tree they DO understand right from wrong. Animals only understand immediate, or almost immediate, punishment and reward. This behaviour modification makes some SEEM to have a knowledge of right and wrong. They really only understand reward and punishment.
Man, however, understands right from wrong all the way to their core being. Even those that say there is no law other than what they say is okay, agree that some things are right and some things are wrong.

I'm sorry I just put them things altogether as a working up to, I realize they didn't happen in a couple days, hours, or minutes probably many, many years it takes a long time for the sprout of a tree to become a tree longer still to bear fruit. Yeah your correct man ain't got no immortal soul but try telling that to a Lutheran for instance.

I've heard many preachers from many denominations preach on the "immortal soul"
I really like Pastor Bob Coy(Calvary Chapel Ft. Lauderdale) but, from his own mouth I heard,
"You see, whether you want to or not, you have an immortal soul and are going to live forever. The
question is are you going to spend eternity with Jesus or be eternally condemned?

I know it both amazing and sad(but all for His Reason) how the Bible the Word of God has been turned(for ages) into story book of theology. God is Spirit....the words that I(Jesus) speak are spirit, they are life; but religion has been made to teach the Bible for man's understanding and wisdom so that man can "get it." I am just happy and glad the Lord and Creator is the one who bears the LIGHT that in His time the whole world will see. :dsunny:

acts 10;11  He saw Heaven Opened....and something like a linen sheet being let down to earth

by it's four corners. It contained all kinds of four-footed animals,as well as reptiles of the earth

and birds of the air.[man in linen let down to expierence good/evil contrast....men that come down

into this exercize without understanding].  Then a voice told him,'get up Peter, kill and eat"  Surely not Lord!

......Do not call anything impure that God has made clean..

Rev 19;8 Fine linen bright and clean was given her to wear[fine linen stands for the righteous 'acts' of

the saints.

Rev 21;2  I saw the Holy city, the new Jerusalem coming down out of Heaven from God,Prepared

as a bride..

Signs in the Heavens/signs in the earth.....Exodus 4;5 This said the Lord is so they may believe

that the Lord, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob-has appeared to you.

Then the Lord said,PUT YOUR NAND INSIDE YOUR CLOAK[bosom position] So Moses put his hand

inside his cloak and when he took it out,it was leprous like snow[linen sheet let down from heaven..

with men of little understanding to undergo good/evil exercize].

Now put it back into your cloak[return to bosom of heaven]..and when he took it out it was restored=

Holy city coming down  out of  heaven[dressed in clean white linen] beautifully prepared for her husband.

two signs...a staff becomes a serpent[adversary for good/evil exercize] but when picked back up

by the tail..becomes a staff again

the Lord said..if they do not believe or pay attention to the first miraculous sign, they may believe the secound

sheila

If they do not believe..take water from the nile and pour it on the ground..and it will turn to blood.

Ezekiel 29.....speak to Pharoah and set your face against him and all Egypt. This is what the

Sovereign Lord say,'I am against you Pharoah,King of Egypt, you great monster lying among the streams.

You say,THE NILE IS MINE..I made it for myself. But I will put hooks in your jaws, and make the fish

of your streams stick to your scales. I will pull you out from among your streams, with all the fish

sticking to your scales. I WILL LEAVE YOU IN THE DESERT,you and all of the fish in your streams

You will fall on the open field and not be gathered or picked up. I will give you as food to the beasts

of the earth and the  birds of the air. Then all who live in Egypt will know I am the Lord.

You have been a staff of reed for the house of Isreal. When they grasped you with their hands

you splintered and tore open their shoulders; when they leaned on you,you broke and their backs

were wrenched.

Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says,  I will bring a sword against you,and kill your men

and their animals. Egypt will become a desolate wasteland..then they will know that I am the Lord

A Lament for Pharoah, the Prince of this world.  Ezekiel 32;2  Son of man, take up a lament for

concerning  Pharoah King of Egypt[prince of this world],and say to him;

You are like a lion among the nations....you are like a monster in the sea

thrashing about in your streams, churning the water with your feet

  and muddying the streams.......

With a great throng of people I will cast my net over you,and they will haul you up

in my net. I will throw you on the land and hurl you on the open field.

I will let all the birds of the air settle on you,and all the beasts of the earth gorge themselves on you

I will spread your flesh on the mountains, and fill the valleys with your remains

I will drench the land with your flowing blood, all the way to the mountains

and the ravines will be filled with your flesh.

When I snuff you out..I will cover the heavens and darken the stars.

I will cover the sun with a cloud and the moon will not give it's light.

all the shining lights in the heavens I will darken over you

  I will bring darkness over your land,declares the Lord.[Joel 2;2,10,31,3;15 Amos 5;18-20,Zeph 1;15]

micah7:9

"I will bring darkness over your land,declares the Lord.[Joel 2;2,10,31,3;15 Amos 5;18-20,Zeph 1;15]"
Amen

Hmmm... the three hours of darkness around noon on crucifixion day? :Chinscratch:

sheila

I think that and more,Ded2..3 days His body in grave..to be resurrected[all bear His image]

three days Jonah in the belly of the fish.  Three days of darkness followed by plague on firstborn of Egypt

About midnight...I will go throughout Egypt..there will be loud wailing throughout Egypt

but not even a dog will bark among the Isrealites at any man man or animal.

Then you will know that the Lord makes a distinction between Egypt and Isreal.

you know..I see the firstborn of Egypt as the corruptible image that all men bear.....the old man that

must be put to death[this body undergoing this death..that the new man in Christ be raised up

sheila

Exodus 10;23  Plague of darkness[there is a great plague of spiritual darkness going on in the world]

No-one could see anyone else or leave his  place for three days, YET ALL THE ISREALITES HAD

LIGHT IN THE PLACES THEY LIVED[spiritual light/lest ye be foolish virgin]

The Bible does not say "3 days in grave" and I believe it is quite important to the Jona story of 3 days in the belly of the fish. Mat 12:40  for, as Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights, so shall the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.
Not to go into it now, but I believe that "in the heart of the earth," has more to say. The tomb is/was a place of remembrance. Just in passing, my thought opinion only.

sheila

ok, three days in heart of earth,or in memorial tomb..is better said.

I don't believe from God's long term point of view, anything has ever gone awry. He cause "all things to work according to the counsel of His will" and "all things work together for good to those who are called according to His purpose" who sees "the end from the beginning".

I do however, believe in an experiential duality in God- who expresses great sorrow, distress, joy, disappointment, pleasure and displeasure at various events and series of events and actions of men in time. These expressions, through the prophets and even by His direct voice(and they heard a voice form heaven, "This is my beloved son, hear ye Him") cannot be play acting ro words devoid of their expressed meaning or the I AM would be the I ACT LIKE I AM FOR THE EXERCISE OF MY IMAGINATION BUT I AM NOT REALLY RIGHT NOW.

Yes, for sure Jehovah, the Creator has emotions of this I am sure.

That is not what I said. The "tomb" is just that a memorial, Jesus was 3 days in the heart G2588
the heart, that is, (figuratively) the thoughts or feelings (mind); nothing to do with the tomb.
As was Jona's trial.

micah7:9

I'm beginning to understand...get the drift.
