I was thinking about us here at the Tentmaker     and how we as brothers and sisters   come together in the midst of Jesus Christ    and do  wash one another's feet   as He leads us   to victory   by putting all enemies ,'' that we  once were  according to the gospel  /good news'',      under His feet     ''teaching ''

  Strong's G4228 - pous
πούς
Transliteration
pous

masculine noun

a foot, both of men or beast

often in the orient, one put his foot on vanquished/defeat, triumph over ·

of disciples listening to their teacher's instruction are said to be at his feet

   . John 13:1–17

Learned this when looking up  ''feet''  as teaching  as Jesus teaches  His followers to wash one another  feet

Or cleaning off the dust of the flesh    and how much  the Lord has blessed us all   so very much  , Saw an  example in Acts 28   of foot washing of a spiritual nature

...25This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he was speaking and teaching accurately the things concerning Jesus, being acquainted only with the baptism of John;

26and he began to speak out boldly in the synagogue. But when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.

27And when he wanted to go across to Achaia, the brethren encouraged him and wrote to the disciples to welcome him; and when he had arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace,

There is something else I saw when reading about Jesus telling us   though the   original    12  followers of Christ   His students   under His teaching

When Jesus  breathed on them and gave them power  to forgive  sins or  retain them [hold those to them ]     I was amazed to learn that the    chief leaders

used this against Jesus Christ  saying , you call yourself the son of God and   you forgive sins , Only God can forgive sins  !!

Seeing now how much Jesus changed  things     from death under the tree of knowledge of good and evil     to the tree of Life ,   in the Word of God  now .
Fulfilling   the law and prophets and   bringing in the new covenant   of promise  of grace by faith in Him

One big deal  to me was how Stephen   forgave   those   who were   tormenting him and had him on a cross and dying   , and said , do not hold this against them GOD        ,  that was  just like Jesus said, its done  and  made this example to follow and  did this very thing, '' first  ''  open  show  and Stephen  following Christ went  into the same  narrow path/JESUS ,   that leads to life   COL 2 Alive in Christ
...14having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.

I believe the  Lord  saying as you judge so shall YOU be judged  , if we hold  anyone to  their sin ,  we also must  keep all the law   , or we become judges of the law

wanting vengeance   on  others and grace for ourselves     , that is a slippery slope .

By your own words being  justified or condemned   and what tree we are eating of  , both Laws are in effect  ,  under  both trees
The tree of knowledge of good and evil  or the Tree of Life    , on is for death and the other is for Life

When this Light comes to   show openly    the deeds /works/fruits       of what tree we  are

Matt 12 A Tree Recognized by its Fruit
...36"But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. 37"For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."

Thanks for that positive and uplifting post Rose.
Reminded me of my walk when at one time I performed works of the law like doing the foot washing ceremony.
Nothing bad about that, but I came to see that physical works of the law is not where its at in Christ.
Its all about "good works" serving each other both within the Body and others. Reminded me of the good Samaritan story

3 John 4 - I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

Awe Thanks Joeteekay !!

Just seen where you had answered  , Blessings bro !
I had  done the same  , it was the letter of the law  that kills  .
Being   flesh profits nothing

I do believe the   Holy  Spirit    teaches that     we have to go though that   from the servants to His children   being family in God
many tutors  Christ  Gal 3 The Purpose of the Law

...23But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, being shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed.

24Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith.

25But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith,

27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Jesus is the reward  !!
