Title: Father did things before Jesus?
Post by: micah7:9 on July 20, 2011, 07:59:32 PM
I may have posted this before I dont recall. But can some thoughts be given on these verses?
Joh 5:19 Jesus, then, answers and said to them, "Verily, verily, I am saying to you, The Son can not be doing anything of Himself if it is not what He should be observing the Father doing, for whatever He may be doing, this the Son also is doing likewise."
Joh 5:20 For the Father is fond of the Son and is showing Him all that He is doing. "And greater works than these shall He be showing Him, that you may be marveling."

Jesus is not doing anything during His walk, unless He sees the Father doing these things.
When did the Father do the things that Jesus observed and did?

Or am I not seeing something? Thanks.

Contemporaneously.
The sheep hear.
The sons see.
Amen.

Not sure if Jesus is saying that even as God he wait for Father to do.

As scripture says

Father Of whom the creation procedeth

Christ by whom the creation created

Both take part in creating, but Father was first.

Or that Christ is showing us an example of how to live a Godly life and that is to follow the Father or Himself into life.
It would sound strange if Jesus said I follow myself, so to us he says follow me or follow the Father, both lead to life, but no man cometh to Father except through Jesus Christ.

I am a son to my Dad . . .I'm a brother to my siblings . . .I'm a father to my children . . . I'm a Father, Son, brother . . .uncle . . .neighbor . . . pastor . . .I'm all of the above manfifesting different levels of authority through different levels of relationships

God reveals his authoritive nature as Father to all who he created.  God reveals his Messianic sonship by manifesting in the flesh through the embodiment of Jesus the Son.

God reveals his infinite power and intimacy to our hearts by his Spirit.  God the Father, Son, Spirit . . .one God . . .manifesting different levels of authority through different relationships.

He gives your answer in His reply to John the Baptists followers.....Matt 11....when John heard in prison what Christ was doing,he sent his disciples

to ask him,"Are you the one who was to come,or should we expect soneone else. Jesus replied,'Go back and report to John what you

hear and see,"The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news

is preached to the poor.Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of me.

In the scriptures are accounts of dead raised[Elijah] leprosy cured.....Jesus did only what He saw His Father doing in heaven.....for the Kingdom of heaven

was present in him. He had observed His Father raising the dead in heaven, casting out evil spirits, teaching and forgiving sins, curing and restoring  man in His image.

The Lamb was slain before the foundation of the world.......Thy will be done on earth as in heaven....and He always did what pleased  the Father...

as soon as someone dies they are raised up in heaven.  IF YOU HAVE SEEN THE SON YOU HAVE SEEN THE FATHER

Father,'I HAVE REVEALED YOUR NAME UNTO THEM"

I rics offending ego's I know....But God does not require any action on the dead man's part before He resurrects him...no-one can do nothing of

himself....Lazarus heard the voice of the Lord and come out of the tomb..so ears would have been opened for him to hear the Lords voice.

This sampling of the POWER OF GOD that Jesus displayed in the miracles..is done on a massive scale daily.

Daily sacrifices rise to the Lord[men are sheep' and He alters them and changes them into His image]

John 10;38

BUT IF I DO IT,EVEN THOUGH YOU DO NOT BELEIVE ME.....BELEIVE THE MIRACLES

THAT YOU MAY KNOW AND UNDERSTAND THAT THE FATHER IS IN ME

AND I AM IN MY FATHER

    Psalms 68;28

SUMMON YOUR POWER,O"GOD   SHOW US YOUR STRENGTH,O"GOD AS YOU HAVE DONE BEFORE

v 34    PROCLAIM THE POWER OF GOD,WHOSE MAJESTY IS OVER ISRAEL

WHOSE POWER IS IN THE SKIES, YOU ARE AWESOME,O'GOD,IN YOUR SANCTUARY

THE GOD OF ISRAEL GIVES POWER AND STRENGTH TO HIS PEOPLE

    PRAISE BE TO GOD

Amen!

For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God's power.

Micah, Jesus had been watching His Father do these things for man when He was with Him in heaven before he came to earth....Father truly

had not let his right hand know what his left hand had been doing...   HE WATCHED HIS FATHER LAY DOWN[lower] HIS LIFE IN ORDER

TO TAKE IT BACK UP AGAIN[raise] that we may live
