Title: Do you know this old hymn?
Post by: LS on August 02, 2010, 06:09:24 AM
My great-uncle just died at the age of 90.  He had spent years searching for a hymn he remembered from his childhood, and I know it would mean a lot to my aunt if I could find it now for her.  Here are the lyrics they remembered; do any of you know this hymn?

Coming to the garden at the breaking of the day
Loving friends of Jesus found the stone was rolled away.
Knowing not the meaning of the Savior's empty tomb
Seeing now the lesson in the lilies' bloom.
Bloom lilies bloom by the risen Savior's tomb.
He is risen hallelujah He is risen hallelujah
Christ is risen hallelujah ... ??? ... scatters all the gloom
