A friend let me down. But I try not to judge her. Just when my hopes were high, suddenly everything crashed and a person I trusted disappointed me. I'm young and probably took it too hard but I know one thing, God does not leave anyone down. Ever.

Micah 7:7

But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.

John 15:5

I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Did this just happen?  What happened?

I know that can be very painful.  :sigh:

Eduard it does hurt so badly when someone you love and trust lets you down. Especially at first, the sting can be quite terrible. What helps me is to remember that it is not "them" who is hurting you, or at least not "them" who wants to hurt you. It is that they have been taken captive to do the devil's will, as we all have been. Love and prayers to you brother.  :friendstu:  :HeartThrob:

I'd rather not say what happened exactly, it's complicated and it concerns many things about my family and friends. It wasn't really a big, important thing but it meant a lot to me personally. And I had put much trust in that person... maybe it was a mistake.

I'm a bit better now, thanks.

It hurts, and there are many lessons in it.  Feeling the disappointment leads to feeling the comfort of the comforter.  Someone I love consistently lets me down to the point of parody.  They can't seem to pull their self out of the disappointing behavior, no matter how many times we reap what they sow.  We reap what they sow because we are connected through relationship.  Every relationship that has been given to you is both a gift and a responsibility from God.  Thanks for sharing.

We can love someone unconditionally, but trust is something that has to be earned every day.  Betrayal by someone you trusted is one of the most painful things we will ever experience.  I know you must be hurting.  And, you need to think about protecting and healing yourself,  and accepting the reality of the situation, I think.  We will lift you up in prayer. :HeartThrob:

Take it to Jesus, Eduard.   He knows how you feel.  The same thing happened to him.

And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in your hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

God has taught me I don't have to reap what another sows.  I stand alone before him and he  has turned every evil forged against me to good.   Praying for you to be held in his loving protection.  :HeartThrob:

Thank you all. I put my trust in Jesus.

John 14:1

Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.

In relationship God reaps everything that we sow.  God is here with us, even in our failings.  The ones we love fail, and we are here with them in their failings.  Acceptance enables the future good that you speak of.  We don't magically get good from bad.  We must work through the bad to bring about the good.  God will not do this for us.  God does it with us.  We are to constantly sow to the good, and we will reap the benefit if we faint not.  I have come to "accept the things that I can not change".  It is not always easy, but it is always necessary.  Knowing the difference between what we can change and what we can not change is he wisdom of God that we need.

Yes.  Everyone has to figure this out for themselves. I don't know anyone's situation.  I'm just saying,  I am not one to give up easily but I waited too long.  God sent many angels to me to tell me to leave and I ignored them.  I am very strong and thought I was strong enough to handle it.  I wasn't.   So I am offering another point of view.  We do not have to be trustworthy and faithful ourselves to the point of death.  Jesus already did that for us so we could live and live abundantly.   :2c:

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 2 Cor 6:14

I recently went through an awful lot of hurt leaving my Baptist church.  It familiarized me afresh how uncomfortable hurt is.  It hurt my wife, who still believes in ET - and believe me, when Mama aint happy, aint nobody happy.  It hurt friends too, I'm sure.  I went through a process of grief and have now pretty much healed.  May God bless you with healing soon!
