Cutting off the parents . . .

I've lost track of who posted what on which thread . . .but today someone posted a url and the comment was I think about Jacob's ladder . . .but in the beginning piece of the article, the guy is talking about Samson and how he picked a Philistine for his wife and his parents disapproved.  What I'm loving about the article is the guy sees the dimensional message in these things as well and he pulls up this Scripture about our Father and our Mother.

The reason this blows my socks off is because in Genesis when Adam takes Eve as his wife . . .God makes this statement that for me, has always felt like one of those "anomalies" that often times are sign posts indicating something very deeply spiritual is being acknowledged within the story being illustrated.

Genesis 2 . . .
2And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

I could never fully comprehend "why" a man "had" to disconnect himself from his parents . . .or . .what exactly does that mean?  But then later on, I saw that spiritually, my parents are those that "brought me into" the belief system that I came to embrace.  I had not found a wife of my own to marry, but I was raised under the spiritual parental church system until I did find a spiritual wife.  It fits in with what Paul talks about when he states "When I was a child, I spoke as a child, acted as a child . .but when I became a man . . .I PUT AWAY".  When our kids get to "that age", they no longer can go through the transformation of maturity and still hang on to the things they once embraces "as-a-child"  and believe it or not, that would include the parental control as well.

Having said all of that .. the guy on this article ties this in with the fact that Samson's parents did not approve of the wife he chose because "by law" he was not to marry outside of their tribunal boundaries . . .but then the guy quotes the Scripture that really hit things out of the park for me . . .it's in Job.

Job 17:14
I have said to corruption, Thou art my father: to the worm, Thou art my mother

I recall Jesus asked the question "who is my mother . . .who is my brother???  Something powerful was about to be released in his answer and I don't think many people have ever seen it . . .this isn't in the article by the way . . .

Matthew 12
47Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
48But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

In Genesis, God told the serpent that his belly would be confined to the earth from then on.  I know some here don't see this, but I see the serpent is the "carnal nature" within every one of us.  In this world, in this realm, my belly, the "core" of "me" is "directly" confined to, connected with, influenced by "earthiness".  But then Jesus comes along and he reverses this . . .his claim?  Out of your BELLIES shall flow rivers of LIVING WATER . . ."  Jesus didn't say out of the hearts, out of the minds or mouths . . but he specifically said "bellies".  I believe he did this with purpose, on purpose.  He's our Mt. Ararat . . .his very nature is to "reverse the curse".

Well, in this passage where he calls out "who is my mother . . ."  I believe he's doing the exact same thing.  He's restoring relationship, but he's also reversing our very parental influences.  Not natural parents . . .SPIRITUAL . . .in the embrace of the old covenant, Job saw corruption to be his Father and the worm to be his mother.  But Jesus was restoring that relationship WITHIN man.  The moment he claimed "whosoever" the curse of carnality being our parent was reversed to now the Father of Life BECAME our parent.

In Jacob's ladder, I think I'd mentioned this before but before heaven opened up to him, there was an order that he had to align with before he could "see".  One was, he had to turn from Beersheba . . .which means "oath" and turn "towards" Horan, which is actually connected to "peaceful death".   People who have addictions and try to kick them, it's not enough to just trying to quit something . . .it's not enough to just try to "turn away" from something . . there has to be something that we're turning "to" in order for the shackles from the bondages to be completely released.

In this case with Jacob, the oath he turned from was promises given to his Father that he was a "part" of, but they weren't his on a personal level yet.  He turned away from the oath of his Father and toward the death of him"self".  we are to do the same thing.  Turn away from our mother and our Father . . .not natural, but spiritual . . .turn away from the corruption and soulishness within ourselves and as we do, we turn toward the death of our "selves" as all heaven begins opening up to us and the two-way relationship causes us to see life in ways that no other men can see.  Christ is our Mt. Ararat.  He reversed the relationship of our core being with earthiness, to a river of life and he reversed our corruptive nature into a godly one through a relationship with the Son.

I was in the church, at the altar, the last day I was allowed to attend as a "regular", when I felt a horrible pain in my chest/heart area. I said, "Lord, WHAT IS THIS, am I having a heart attack???" I saw in the Spirit at the time He spoke it to me, the word "CAUL", when He said, "I'm now removing the caul from your heart."

I had NO IDEA what this meant. I meant to look it up, but went elsewhere that day, and got home at 1am. I remembered it in bed, and didn't want to trek downstairs again, so told Him I'd look it up in the morning. That night I had a dream. I was in a doctor's office, fully pregnant, and I saw the hand of the Spirit come and tear the top of the bag of waters, over the baby's head.

He had been teaching me about the false coverings of mothers/governors (the church, ie. all that comfort and mourn with us over the death of our flesh) and fathers/tutors (pastor, ie. ALL those we have looked up to for light/guidance in the night-time of our souls, the STARS must fall from the sky), so that HE (and our heavenly mother) can be our only covering.

When I looked the word up, I found it's the top part of the amnion, the membrane that covers the baby, SPECIFICALLY the part that cover the baby's head. It's where we get our word for amniotic bag, the bag of waters surrounding the baby.

I thought, "Where have I seen amnion before?" and finding it was Greek, I took a chance it was in Strong's. It was; it means LAMB.  He had started to rend the veil from the TOP (head). As He is doing with YOU, right now. Believe it....or not....Blessings.... :HeartThrob:

Good post, Nathan!

Paul has something to say about it, too--

But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.  Gal 4:26

It is strange how things are just taken away, never again to be the same.

Shelia told me of this thread , we spoke on a few things  and  got alot out of the conversation ,,,     and WOW!  Good thoughts Nate , sound  even , it  made me think also of the law  of Moses being  being of the knowledge of the good and evil ... never entered the promised Land , but leds us  to  =Jesus Christ         the Perfect that comes ...

this verse  here being the divisions   Jesus would speak of  Him doing  ,   dividing and conquering

from the Law of good and evil ... Paul called the law good showing him  his sin  , the ministration of death  , but the Law in Jesus Christ  would be  the  love of God made known

Mat 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law

And a man's foes [shall be] they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me

Really cool. The baby "crowns" as it departs the womb- "Shall a nation be born in a day?" "Shall the Lord bring to breach and not bring to birth?" "And she gave birth to a manchild..... and he was caught up to God's throne

Until we all attain unto the unity of the faith, unto a mature man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of the son of God........ No longer tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine, by the craftiness of men and their scheming.....

At this point we are no longer under the authority of men, but, speaking the truth in love, we are edifying one another as members of the body, growing up in all aspects into the Head, who is Christ, as we ASCEND (move into the Head) the Bride DESCENDS(is reveled/manifests on earth).

Come Quickly Lord Jesus!

Feet on earth, subduing the adversaries, spreading GOOD NEWS OF GLAD TIDINGS TO ALL MEN,(ministry of reconciliation) Head in heaven(mind of Christ), body clothed in clouds(the fulness of Him who fills ALL IN ALL)- little book in hand, ready to eat ;o)

Ain't gonna study war no more.  :icon_king:
