"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another" (John 13:34)

Poor sinner touched once again
Strangely gentle yet with strength that creates galaxies
Overbearingly safe yet completely incapacitated
Busy human, now child of God - oh child of God
Out of nowhere heart and mind surrounded
Squeezed painfully, physically yet not physically
Yearning, longing, yearning, longing
Knowing once again, momentarily yet forever
The yearning throughout the ages

Grip is released
Expansion and elevation, timeless, space less
More yearning, feel the longing now thirst
Too much, cry to others to take
Pain, ecstasy - there is no separation - sweet, bitter
No words, no expression, beyond understanding
Peace then action, yearning then rest, rest then longing

He Who took on a body of flesh
He Who carried the burdens of all as Man
He suffered through lack of response
No, far worse, He suffered through hate in return for love
From those to whom He poured out love
He thirsted then as always He has thirsted
He suffered then as always He has suffered
To find the loving heart
He through Whom was created all
Seeks and seeks for love's return
No idle words from Olivet
How He has longed in painful truth

Words of men that deny His love
Dogmas of men that fight His love
Superstitions of men that strangle His love
Littleness of men that make myths of His love
Men, who find it hard to forgive so must be taught
Divine Love, where forgiveness and unforgiveness cease to have meaning
And among the weeping still yet more love poured out
Love's Nature must give of Itself for eternity

And the command of all commands
The meaning of it all, here and Hereafter:

"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you" (John 15:12)
"A few drops of blood renew the whole world, and become for all men that which rennet is for milk, uniting and drawing us into one". "Christ is like leaven for the entire mass, and having made that which was damned one with himself, frees the whole from damnation".

Gregory of Nazianzu

Now what is this, whole being moved
Earthquake within, interruption not rude
Now light but not white, translucent and glowing
Brighter than suns it illumines all-knowing
But heat there is none, without eyes it is seen
For what purpose is this, what can it be?
Struck dumb, overcome, a long roll of thunder
Nothing to do but exist and just wonder
Mind is enraptured, riveted, fixed
No wandering aimlessly at times like this
Heart is imploding, too full to survive
The very universe has come alive
Crimson, Divine, God's Heart much too near
It fills all of space, so tender, so dear
Absorbed in the Power pulsating so strong
All else has no meaning but to this to belong
Forever and ever, please let it stay
Knowing full well that it's back to the day
My Lord is this secret between just us two
Or should it be shared with more than a few
Sacred and special it should not be heard
Does poetry betray reality with words?
"A few drops of blood renew the whole world, and become for all men that which rennet is for milk, uniting and drawing us into one". "Christ is like leaven for the entire mass, and having made that which was damned one with himself, frees the whole from damnation".
