What does it mean to be called out? What is the purpose God has for those he calls out in this age, for the next age(what will we be doing), as opposed to the purpose for those who do not get enlightened until the next age or later? Why is it "special" to believe now without seeing? How do you know if someone is called out? How do you know if someone who is very religious, talks about Jesus all the time, is into the bible, if they are really called out or not? Thanks for any help here.

to SERVE as priests. A priests serves through "blessing".
1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
Gen 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and
in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Rom 11:31 Even so have these also now not believed, that
through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
While driving my truck the other day I thought of an analogy that illustrates what it means to be called out. Think about a ship at sea with a thousand people on board, that gets in trouble and is doomed. And this other ship is within range to come help. And the captain of this other ship puts together a plan of action to get there and to save everyone. And part of his plan is to use the first fifty people who come off the doomed ship for a special purpose. These first fifty people will be used to hand out food, water, medicine, etc.... to all the other people who will be coming off the doomed ship next. And to help manage and care for the people for the foreseeable future.
:cloud9: Sounds like firstfruits to me .......and I don't know if I ever told you or not, but your avatar makes me smile every time I see it........it's so cute! Blessings....
I believe to be called out points to the time we are entering into that is represented through the "omar of barley" that Jesus as the High Priest presented to God His Father upon His resurrection from His death on the Cross.
Paul spoke of these barley seeds when he referred to himself and the others as "one born out of due time" that when translated means to be born early and is prophesying of a ministry yet to come but whose time IMO has come.
They will be the Davids who will slay the Goliath of today........ first within themselves and then within the world.
Luke 6:1 shows these barley seed followers bringing the wheat ones who are "baked with leaven" being purified.
For that matter the LOF is a body of water that consists of many drops with each drop being a manifested son. It is their job to serve God and do His Will on earth because to be called out is to be called to serve God our Father.

Actually even less make it.
Many are called, few are chosen, even less make it.
Gotta look it up but it's somewhere in Ray Smith LoF series.

It's a farming term. The shoot from one tree is added onto another tree.
"Graft"a. To unite (a shoot or bud) with a growing plant by insertion or by placing in close contact.
b. To join (a plant or plants) by such union.
18Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
19Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.
20Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
21For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. --Rom 11

Hi fularmour
Loved the answers given already
and agree
a simple answer , my answer is this
Called out means called out '' of the world '' and set apart
as the Lord uses'' these '' as examples
some for experiences that show anyone who hears what the Spirit is saying and how the world will Hate them Just as Jesus Christ [ First perfect example ] was hated by the world
the Old covanant shows many examples to of what happens /sets the course
I have such a small view , but its a clear view to me that is hard to disbute , most already know and say ''oh yeah'' and its good to be reminded , many do that here for me all the time
and some ''just bless my socks off '' with revelation / a showing/revealing , that was hidden from my spiritual sight /eyes
love it when that happens thats why I am still here, as the Lord keeps my heart open to new and better things concerning ''Him'' ...
In The love of Christ rose :HeartThrob:

Hi Zeek,
Just the way I see this. The Covenants and the promises were given to Israel. (Rom. 9:4) "Who are Israelites; TO WHOM PERTAINETH THE ADOPTION, AND THE GLORY, AND THE COVENANTS".
(Heb. 8:8) "Behold the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make A NEW COVENANT WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND WITH THE HOUSE OF JUDAH".
(Jer. 31:31) Behold the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah
There is nothing said about Gentiles in these verses. Now in the beginning of Paul's ministery he came to see that Gentiles could be grafted in to The New Covenant. Later though, Paul came to see that we didn't need to be grafted into Israel he saw a much better promise and that was, believers in Christ are now of the family of God not Israel. We don't need the covenants and promises of Israel, we have our citizenship in heaven. We have a heavenly citizenship now, not an earthly one which is Israel.
The Mystery that Paul spoke about was the final revelation of salvation. It was much more glorious than the New Covenant. Paul didn't preach about it much he was in prison a lot. Paul ask that prayer be given for him that "God would open a door unto us to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am in bonds. That I may make it manifest as I ought to speak (Col. 4:3-4).
I cannot find anywhere where it says we Gentiles will be priest or kings. In Revelation it mentions priest but John was writing to the Israelites because he was of the circuncision. All of the apostles were sent to the Israelites including Paul at first but later Paul said he was going to the Gentiles but the rest didn't.

Quote from: CHBI cannot find anywhere where it says we Gentiles will be priest or kings. In Revelation it mentions priest but John was writing to the Israelites because he was of the circuncision.
But the New Testament gives a new understanding of who the cirmcumcision is. Don't forget the promise was given to Abraham before he was of the physical circumcision--in other words, while he was still a Gentile--and God told him that through him many Gentiles [nations] would be blessed.
The circumcision starts out being the Hebrews [first the natural] and ends up being all those in Christ [then the spiritual]. We are of the second circumcision, that group that was circumcised by Joshua after crossing over into the promised land.
10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.--Col 2

Molly, this is the way I understand it as well. We no longer have to be grafted in to Israel we are all of the family of God, not the family of Israel.
Someone said "salvation was of the Jew's" but they way I understand it is, salvation is of Jesus Christ. Do you see a difference here? We no longer have to go through Israel to be saved as the New Covenant states, there is neither Gentile nor Jew now but one in Christ. This is the gospel that Paul finally came to see, which was planned from the beginning but no one saw this till the Mystery was shown to Paul. The Gentiles still thought they had to be grafted into Israel to be saved.

Hi Cardinal,
What scripture is that in please? If it is this one, who is Peter talking to?
1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
Why would Christ need priest when there is no temple to serve in? The priest served in a physical temple which were all Israelites. (1Peter 2:12) shows that these were Israelites Peter was talking to. Why would we need to be priest when we have a priest which is Jesus Christ. We no longer have to make intercession for sins, Christ does that.
If we are to think spiritually why keep the physical in mind such as priest, temples, Israel as being a go between for our salvation? We don't need any of that, all we need is Jesus Christ and him crucified and resurrected.
Why is this box we post in acting crazy?

salvation is of the Jews.

Heb 3:1-Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
The Greek word for profession there means to what we profess or confess, confession.
And this.......
Ro 2:29 - But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
........is the reason why we are priests if we have entered into the realm of the inner court of the Tabernacle pattern, which is as the feast of Pentecost. EVERYTHING that He did thru the natural as types as shadows, was given TO US, the heirs of salvation, to glean spiritual truth from. This spiritual truth that is quickened to us by the Spirit, is how the inward man GROWS. John, symbolic of OT literal Word, said I must decrease so that He could increase. He, Christ, being Spirit brings increase first to the spiritual man in us.
EVERYTHING that He established in the natural applies to us, spiritually, which is why Heb. 10 says that the Tabernacle is the pattern of the things in the heavenlies, or spiritual realm. We that walk in the Spirit as inward Jews, do mind the things of the Tabernacle/temple of God.
The elementary principle of the laying on the hands to pray for people, comes from the priest's pattern that laid hands on the sacrifices. The water of living or moving water that is to come from our bellies/innermost beings, lines up with the pattern of the river that ran under the temple that the priests used to wash away the blood of the sacrifices. His blood, which is SPIRIT, washes us clean, ie. make of yourselves a living sacrifice. I could go on and on and on with the types and shadows that apply to us as spiritual Jews, but you get the idea. Blessings.....

Hi Cardinal,
I know all things concerning the laws and temple were a shadow that was suppose to lead us to Christ but after Christ died and was resurrected the tabernacle/temple was destroyed. Now we have direct access to heaven, the Father and his Son Jesus Christ.
Also the temple represents types and patterns of the heavenly realm but so does the earth, and garden of Eden. Moses was told to make the tabernacle ACCORDING TO THE PATTERN that God gave him. I believe everything we know has a heavenly pattern.
The priesthood was changed. Christ is the substitute of all the priests, there is no need for priests now. What was the role of priest but to offer sacrifices? "Christ offered himself once and for all" (Heb. 10:10). Didn't this all pertained to Israel, not Gentiles? Do you know of one Gentile that was a priest, that served in the temple? Christ is the only high priest that Israel needed.
If the temple was a pattern and a shadow of things to come and no Gentile served or had no part of it how can it be a pattern for us? I know we can learn things from what was a part of Israel but we are not of Israel, at least I don't think I am an Israelite, have no desire to be.
