I came to a point in life where sin started to bore me.
Can anyone relate to this?
Sins I used to relish just didn't satisfy me anymore.
I actually thought I was 'sick' for a while...
..."Why have I no interest in that (sin) anymore which i've done for years"?
"Why would I rather play my guitar or read a book about kindness or something than engage in (that sin) now?"
I thought it might be a phase but no...I'm pretty much all sinned out for the time being and have been for many months.
I'd love to say I was such a great Saint that I fought sin away and came to God all of my own work whilst sin was at its strongest in my life but the sad truth is I just got bored of sin and lost the desire to engage in it (as much).
I'm not saying I'm 'sinless' by any means I hope you understand but ... Maybe it's an age thing? - We just get bored?
Can anyone relate to this?
My joy now seems to be in doing what I'd call more 'worthwhile' ventures.
Well I tried everything in the world to fill the void and empty place in my heart and nothing worked for long , it does leave you wanting .
I really questioned ,What is not of faith is sin , So out of curiosity , I had to dig deeper into the meaning of what that meant .
Romans 14 , Helped me to see it was a narrow path , Just the Lord leading and I needed to follow the lead .
I was not going to please everyone , so why bother , Being that darned if you do and darned if you don't , you cannot make folks happy all the time by people pleasing , man pleasing does not work at all. too fickle always changing frequently, especially as regards one's loyalties, interests, or affection.
Guilt would eat me alive ... so to keep the Law of Love , it was to ask God what He thinks is best in these things , like prayer or conversation of sorts .
...22Keep your belief about such matters between yourself and God.
Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself by what he approves.
23But the one who has doubts is condemned if he eats,
because his eating is not from faith; and everything that is not from faith is sin.
When we eat of the Lord and taste His goodness we get hooked because it does satisfy a need to be loved and wanted and a purpose and who would not want that for everyone ? not just ourselves right ?
We are all consumers to our wants and needs met , our bellies to be full of Life and not so much death any longer .
We are what we eat eh ? Serving and to be served by the greatest giver of all things GODS LOVE and understanding .
Thanks for that.
This was super! Really spoke to me.

Sin is missing the mark of the higher calling to me, it is being worldly , carnal as babies still earthly sensual and devilish in deeds of its father . no holy spiritual growth , stunted , as having been prevented from growing or developing properly.
Held captive , like the parable of the 3 types of earth when the seed/Word of God is planted in .
and now its time to be filled with the things of God , He is preparing a people for a great movement , unprecedented as never been seen in the earth !!!!!!!
we wait on the Lord to complete His wondrous works in righteousness.........
Philippians 3 Straining Toward the Goal/mark of the higher calling of spiritual growth in maturity
12 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.
13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own.
me either , but keep pressing on into Life and leaving death behind me , asking to the Holy help to arrive !!
But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal/ mark for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
[ to me it is the Christ ,Holy Spirit anointing the works of GOD , to rise up from within us , to stand in truth as a soldier [full armour of God Ephesians 6:10-20. prepared for a great battle we are to face armageddon ] A name occurring only once in the Bible and designating the place where the last great battle of the ages will take place ( Rev 16:16 ). It will coincide with the second coming of Christ ( Rev 16:15 ) and there all of the hosts of evil will be defeated ( Rev 19:11-21 ).
Armageddon is a Hebrew word, although it does not occur in the Old Testament. Its meaning is not exactly clear, but it is best taken to mean Mount Megiddo, since "Har" in Hebrew means mountain and "Mageddon" is the place-name of Megiddo.
In Old Testament history Megiddo was a place of numerous decisive battles because of the broad plain that stood before it.
15 Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. 16 Only let us hold true to what we have attained.
17 Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us.
18 For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ.
19 Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things.
20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
21 who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
Where no place for evil will be found ever again ....... :HeartThrob:
