Blessings and curses

:cloud9: Hi; I'm sharing this in reply answer to a question that came up, regarding how we walk in both blessings and curses. This is one of the first things the Lord showed me, because I had a REAL VITAL need to overcome quickly, if you read my testimony post, LOL. :mshock:

Matt. 13, what I call the "deliverance" parable, talks about Him destroying with fire, all them that do iniquity in His kingdom and we know the kingdom of God is within us. Paul talked about doing that which he would not do, ie. didn't want to do. So too, does the scripture about the Holy Ghost seeking out the hidden things of the heart. All of these deal with the iniquities that are visited upon us to the 3rd and 4th generation. The things of the heart (soul) are hidden. They are hidden because they dwell in the realm of spirit. As it was also said, these things (fornications, heresies, malice, lusts, hatred, ect.) come out of the heart of man.

This is how He visits the iniquities upon us. He set up a perfect essentially "self-governing" system, in that, what you sow you reap. Sow corruption, reap death. Sow incorruption, real life. These things ARE death, they are "symptoms". We see the fruit of this in the natural and most don't recognize what they are seeing. For instance, alcoholism runs in families. The scientists tell us now that there are genetic predispositions to that, and they'd be right too. But what carnally minded man doesn't realize is, as Nebuchadnezzar didn't either until 7 times/7 days passed over him, that heaven (spiritual realm) rules in the affairs of men.

Genetic predisposition is nothing more than the spirit has the power to affect the natural, if left unchecked, for the purpose of making us more into it's image. Like Paul said, the idol is nothing, but the spirit behind the idol is what you have to concentrate on. When I was dealing with these things in ministry, the first thing I would do is what He had ME personaly do, which is; ask forgiveness for the sins of my fathers and pray that the generational curses over me would begin to be broken in my life. This is working out your own deliverance in fear and trembling.

I love this example because it's a perfect illustration. It happened to a friend's husband we were praying with. When we prayed for him, one of the things that came up, was to come against fear of strangulation. After this, he had tugged at the neck of his T-shirt and he and his wife told us he had this "thing" about anything touching his neck, he couldn't stand a collar on his shirt or his coat buttoned up or anything touching his neck.

I think I shared this before, but I was talking to him about this very thing above after praying for him, saying, "And how many of us really know what sins our great-great-grandfather's did?" as the reason for the initial prayer above.

He chirps out, "I do! My great-great grandfather was a horse thief and they hung him!"  It didn't hit us at first; it was about 5 minutes of conversation more, before we all realized at the same time, that the Lord had provided a "show and tell" example of exactly what we had been talking about, without us even realizing it. The horse thief had transferred the fear of strangulation to his descendant.

So once overcome, THEN He casts our sin as far as the east is from the west. What I love about that scripture is, it has hidden wisdom in it, as they all do. The tabernacle was faced east so that when the sun arose it would make it's way, as if in a progressive walk, thru it, as if it was on it's way to the Ark.

Matt. 13 again; Then shall the sun arise with healing in it's WINGS, let him who hath ears to hear, let him hear. As far as the east is from the west, is the "walk" the sun makes from the outer to the innermost court where the Ark is. He carries us, as one with His shed blood covering us, out of the outer court, right into the Holy of Holies, where there is healing in/between the wings.

Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission for sins. The "life" of our blood, is whatever gives it "motive". God's Spirit, is a pure motive. That which is not of God's Spirit, is the one of the other ones, like I showed above. This is the reason for the blood covenant.

Agree with the death of it, ie. repent/change your mind, and lay your flesh on the altar and God will take that which does iniquity (wrong motive, wrong spirit) out of it, and cast it into the fire of His Spirit, and replace it (cover us with His blood) with His Spirit in the part of your soul, it occupied. And behold, you have passed from death (outer court experience) into life (inner court) and life everlasting (Holy of Holies).

This is what ultimately led Paul to be able to say, "It is no longer I that liveth (or live out of what was soulish life), but Christ (Spirit) which liveth in me."  Paul spent 14 years in Arabia alone with the Spirit of the Lord as his teacher. THANK GOD for Paul. Blessings to all..

Ezekiel 18:1-4
1 Then another message came to me from the Lord: 2 "Why do you quote this proverb in the land of Israel: 'The parents have eaten sour grapes, but their children's mouths pucker at the taste'? 3 As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, you will not say this proverb anymore in Israel. 4 For all people are mine to judge—both parents and children alike. And this is my rule: The person who sins will be the one who dies.

 :cloud9: The reason we find spiritual meat to eat in the OT, is because it is now fulfilled spiritually thru our walk in Christ. The reason we partake spiritually of Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles now, is because God commanded that these 3 feasts were to be kept in their generations FOREVER. Not a word of His that was spoken will not be fulfilled. Passover deals with the destruction of the flesh natures. The Holy Ghost which does the works based on the law now spiritually in us, begins to clean out His temple. I'm not going to go into it in this post, but what I shared in the first post above relates to the mountains and to the mountain He said to cast into the sea.

Romans 11: 17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, WERE GRAFTED IN AMONG THEM,  and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;  18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. 19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. 20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Deut. 28: 1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

Deut. 28: 15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these CURSES shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

2Pet. 2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; 13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; 14 Having eyes full of adultery, 8 and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; CURSED children: 15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

Matt. 25: 41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye CURSED, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Gal. 3: 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a CURSE FOR US: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

:cloud9: What He obtained for us, must be appropriated thru the workings of the Holy Ghost. Faith without WORKS is dead. Christ shed forth the Holy Ghost to reverse the curses. The whole purpose of taking His blood, which was spiritual, into the Holy of Holies, was as the atonement to REMOVE THE CURSES that come for disobedience which is sin. That blood returns to us as the cleansing fire, the Holy fire that is only acceptable to God, to place upon the altars of our hearts to begin to burn the things of the flesh with fire. Make of yourselves a living sacrifice, which is your reasonable duty. This is WHY we have a High Priest in the heavenlies in the first place.

:cloud9: The sons of Aaron did not do things according to the pattern, and brought fire out of their own homes (carnal), instead of the fire God started. Anytime we try to bypass the pattern and the method God has established, death is the result. The things that have come upon us, ARE death, they are of the spirit that is death.

Deut. 29:10 18 Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these (imagi) nations; lest there should be among you a ROOT that beareth GALL and WORMWOOD; 19 And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst: 20 The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the CURSES that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD SHALL BLOT OUT HIS NAME his name from under heaven.

Rev. 8: 11 And the name of the star is called WORMWOOD: and the third part of the waters became WORMWOOD; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

Acts. 8: 22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. 23 For I perceive that thou art in the GALL of BITTERNESS, and in the bond of INIQUITY.

Re 3:5 - He that OVERCOMETH, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will NOT BLOT OUT his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Deut. 29: 29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children FOREVER, that we may do all the words of this law.

Sorry but I still don't agree with your precept of generational curses and there effect on those who abide in Christ.

 :cloud9: You don't have to. All we have to do to die, is be "normal". What I'm sharing is how we can have life and life more abundant. If any are abiding in Christ, they are doing the spiritual works that He did. Blessings to all........

Sorry but I still don't agree with your precept of generational curses and there effect on those who abide in Christ.

I used to not believe in generational curses for those that were genuinely abiding in Christ, but....

The more that I think about it, if we're not living to be a thousand years old+, or two or three times that long, based on the promise in Isaiah about living as long as trees, and if we're not progressing towards having as much money as Bill Gates with which to serve humanity, publish the Gospel, and do something about widows and orphans, then we're the victim of our ancestors to a certain extent, even if we're experiencing new life in Christ, and even if to be absent from the body and to be present with Christ is far better and far more desireable. 

Some can try to theologically take away that promise from the book of Isaiah by resorting to premillenialism, but my argument isn't touched in the least even if premillenialism were true.  You can't tell me that if you traded the parents you now have for the patriarch Enoch that with those genes back then that you wouldn't have at least had an honest shot at Methuselah's lifespan.  I'm not trying to make an argument about whether or not you would want to, or whether or not such longevity would be desireable in the present state of the world. 

My point is about genuinely still being yoked to some curses even with new life in Christ, unless you decide to stand alone and be a radical about seeking the Lord and the Book about how to break free from that and to show us all how it's done with MANY MORE decades of youthful, fruitful service to the Lord in this life.

If you genuinely pursue being completely free, in every demension, then you might wind up being here  for quite a long time and in a position where you can't give it away fast enough!  For some of you, just knowing what most people don't know of Father's love is all of the freedom that you ever care to know.  And I'd never dismiss or make light of that.  Horray!  But have we genuinely tapped even the first full DROP of what's available to us through Christ, His Book, and His Spirit at work in us?

To accomplish all of God's purposes for our lives, some of us -- perhaps not many of us, but some of us are going to have to seriously -- very seriously -- start looking at the boundaries of our own mortality very judiciously in the Word and in close fellowship with the Holy Spirit as to what we could possibly do for our Lord after all He's done for us, and after all He's done for all.  Isaiah 54 encourages the barren to stretch out your stakes, or the pillars of your home a lot further than you would have originally just in the natural way of looking at it, 'cause God's wanting the seed of the barren to be more numerous than the seed of the fertile.  I think that besides productivity and fertility that for some of us there may be a Word in there, if we have ears to hear, about longevity.

For some of you, if you could just be gone by 70, you'd be sooooooooo happy, provided there weren't too many evils happening in your body that were the catalyst to bringing you face to face with Jesus.  It may be time to rethink the 80 to 120 that many people are thinking is the longest that they'd stay.  For some of you, at this stage of your life, that would send you into such a deep depression that you'd sincerely need medication.  But for those of you that want a bigger piece of the pie regarding what God's doing, don't wait until you have a heart attack, a stroke, an accident, or some other close call before you start asking the Lord about another 50 years, another 80 years, etc.  'Cause usually by that time you're not asking by faith but are asking in a panic or in despair that you were hoping to live at least long enough to see or do whatever.
