Psalm 50:2
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.

Zion - a company in Christ, transformed by the renewing of their mind, into the mind of Christ, conformed to His very own image, partakers of His divine nature, the perfection of beauty.  The word "perfection" used here comes from the Hebrew word "miklal" from the root TO COMPLETE, make perfect.  However far into the future it appears to us now, in our present processing's, God has promised to "perfect that which concerneth me."  Ps 138:8/  He is able to do a quick work, and cut it short in righteousness.  And He is able also to sustain us through every time that seemeth long.  The work is His, and it will redound to His glory with exceeding joy. Jude 24.

In our present transition and processing, as we "go forth unto Him without the camp, bearing His reproach," Heb 13:13, we also become identified with His humiliation and sorrow, as it was written, "He hath no form nor comeliness; and when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him."  Isa 53:2.  His work is within!!  The outer shell of the flesh, and the reproaches of men have concealed this new creation life.  But in the day of "the manifestation of the sons of God," Rom 8:19, HIS BEAUTY SHALL SHINE FORTH - out of Zion.

God hath shined - literally, caused to shine.  It means much more than just the fact that out of Zion GOD IS SHINING.  He is Light, He is always shining.  But more specifically, He will cause the light to shine out through His Zion company.  Divine radiance will find its expression through His people.  Those who shall stand with the Lamb in the mount of Light Rev 14:1, shall be vessels, light-bearers, through whom God shines.

"That ye may be blameless and harmless (sincere), the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights (Greek, as light-givers) in the world." Phil 2:15

good post Anna ! glad to see you again !!

2Cr 4:4   In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.    2Cr 4:5  For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
2Cr 4:6   For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

2Cr 4:7  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Jesus is the reward  !!

Wondeful thread Anna. I am going to share what being LIGHT means to me, I truly hope that I do not offend you or anyone.

Father has shown me such LOVE these last couple of years that I know my inner self is shining bright. I have many reasons to TRUST Father completely, to never doubt or fear anything, ever again. Father has granted me such a peace like I never dreamed could even exist. Everywhere I seemingly turn, there are new insights and truths that just fall perfectly in place. Jesus told us that we would "KNOW" the truth and be set free.

Free from what? This was always the question without an answer for me. However, I now know. Free from eaverything that is not LOVE. I wish I could tell you that NOTHING upsets me these days, but I can truthfully say only about 2% of what used to. Even when I do become dark in anger or despair, I know it instantly, something in side of me grows dark. I walked in the dark for so long, goodness knows I do not want to again.

This is partly what I feel it means to shine, but it is not everything. It is not my light, nor is it my Love. It is Fathers Light shining in and through me. It's nothing that I am doing other than trusting, yet not I but Father or Christ granting me the ability to do so. There is so much that I am yet to be shown, but I truly believe that the possibilities are endless.

Pro 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Mar 12:29
"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.

Mar 12:30
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'

Mar 12:31
The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

So simple, yet these few words are the embodiment of the entire Scriptures. It is wonderful to be Loved, yet nothing compares to feeling Fathers Love flowing in and through oneself. I patiently wait for the day that Light will not be encumbered by me in any way. I Know that Love and Trust are the keys to ALL LIGHT.  :dsunny:

Thanks Rosered for the beautiful scripture support...

2 Cor 4:4-6
...light of the glorious gospel of Christ... for we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord...   for God, who hath commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Matt 24:14  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Short meditation on these verses... in song

TELL THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD  Hewitt from Songs of Love and Praise, 1896

Tell the whole wide world of Jesus,
Bear the news from shore to shore;
Telling sinners of the Savior,
Let the light spread more and more.

Refrain
Tell the world, the whole wide world,
Bear the news from shore to shore;
Tell the whole wide world of Jesus,
Praise His name forevermore!

Send abroad the Gospel heralds,
Let them take the blessed light;
Into every land of darkness,
Piercing through the shades of night.

Yes, we'll send the joyful message,
Over mountain, over wave;
Telling everywhere of Jesus,
And His mighty power to save.

While we pray for other nations,
Send them help with willing hand,
Let us not forget the home fields,
Jesus for our native land!
