excerpts from book That Which Was From the Beginning by TASparks  Chapt. 3

"There is one thing made perfectly clear in the Word of the Lord, and which to many has become quite clear in experience, that there is a graduation in the life of fellowship with Lord - it is an ever growing thing - and that the course of our union with the Lord is marked by stages.  These are upward stages, representing different levels and different expanses.  As we go on, we are led from one degree to another, from one level to another, and with each successive level there is a wider view and very often a changing view.

The thing that must come very clearly before us at this time is that there is no end to this matter, that we can and should be, continually going on.  And the onward with us should be the upward, and with the upward, the ever expanding.  That is the Lord's thought, the Lord's desire, the Lord's will.   ...

The Lord in His sovereignty allows us to come into something which is only tentative, but not in His final and full thought.  That should lead us to a certain point, and at that given point something else is coming in.  At that point a revelation will be given us which will make us say:  Well, that has served its purpose, but it has come to an end now, unto the greater fullness.  It depends upon whether we cling to the thing that we say the Lord led to and make it the final thing, when the Lord only meant that to lead us to another thing.

After all, it is a question of the will.  And if it is a question of the will, is it not the larger question of subjection to Christ?  There never was anybody so completely, so utterly, and so immediately adjusted to the Father as the Lord Jesus was.  His adjustments to the Father were instant and complete.  At the end there was a conflict lasting for a little ; a bitter, deep conflict:  '...if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.'

...Our course is to become one with Christ by the Holy Spirit in what He is.  And subjection to Christ simply means that He, in Whom the will of God has been perfectly done, becomes our Lord.  That is only another way of saying that the will of God in Christ becomes absolutely sovereign in us.  On our part we become subject to the perfect will of God in Christ.  ...

The point is this:  that the Lord desires us to go on.   Sometimes going on means loneliness in going on where others cannot go with us.  That means a price is bound up with obedience.

Let us ask the Lord to put into us the spirit of His servant 'Not that I have already obtained it....but one thing I do... forgetting the past...I press on.

Thank you Anna  :HeartThrob:  for such a timely post. It is true, the path forward can be strewn with all kinds of obstacles and our path is our path alone. I can no more walk yours as you can walk mine, they are all different, for a whole variety of reasons.


Sometimes I just wanted to be like everyone else; why could they believe and I could not. But there was always something that sounded so repulsive when listening to "friends" laugh at what God was going to do with those they didn't "like."


Ostracized by my own spirit I guess and it was lonely, sometimes terribly so. I am sure most here know how it is to need to talk with someone who would just understand what you have been given to know. I had no one except Father himself and as I have said, sometimes Father seemed so far away.
But is this not the story of most everyone? I will say my biggest mistake is to assume that "only" I have felt this way, or "only" I who has felt deserted, but this is the story of life. Most everyone is searching for something, not knowing exactly what, just knowing that haven't found it yet.  :dontknow:


I found it in UR, suddenly everything made sense. However, if I begun dating the anti-christ I am sure I would have been better received. Father gives us what we need and we force on. Our path begins to have a purpose and slowly like an magnificent jigsaw puzzle a whole new life unfolds before us.


Are we there yet? Oh Yes, but the path continues as does the will to push on into understandings unknown.

Father has lead many here for fellowship and instruction. There is so much wisdom on this forum and I truly believe that the light of all truth is going to be seen for what it is and there will be a turning tide towards the Love of Father and all of us. A light on the Hill for all

We have what love can be like shown by our earthly parents.
His love exceeds that beyond imagination. Because of Christ we are now adopted as son/daughters of the living, loving God, Our true Father. We may make many mistakes, but His patience and nurture corrects us and we learn heaps from that experience.
