Very interesting video of Alex Tanous who talks about his NDE and his OBE experience done under scientific scrutiny.

Very strong UR theme.  One of the most interesting videos I've seen like this.

Lloyd Auerbach is also in the video.  One of the only 'real' paranormal investigators out there.

Some things Alex mentions in the video:-
"I was as physical on the other side as I am now."
"I was one with the universe".
"I had to come back".
"I saw my grandfather".
"To me the mind survives death".
"The mind 'needs' to survive death as much as we need to think and learn".
"It is the fullifllment of what mankind was at the beginning...a transition...a returning to imortality".
"None of my religious training prepared me for this.  There is no hell, it is a joyful experience.  We should wait for this beautiful experience with great joy".
"We must harness the power we have.  It is the strongest power there is.  Mankind will become immortal by allowing this energy to take over the matter and transform it".

Worth a watch.

I think some NDEs can be glimpses outside of time.. not because they actually go there (imo) but because they intuit it.. There's lots of folks throughout all of history who do great evil. So I believe lots of folks do intuit the final totally good outcome!

But the Lord (Himself) said that "all in the tombs" (graves) "will hear His voice and will come forth" (out of the graves/tombs) "those who have done good in the resurrection of life" (the joyous resurrection at Jesus' return at which time immortality is put on) "and those who have done evil in the resurrection of judgment". (Jn.5:28-29) I have to believe this is the same judgment the Lord talked about and called "the judgment" which to me doesn't sound like a flash in the pan event where everyone is miraculously born again without the learning process of repentance being previous to it.

Especially considering verses like how Peter wrote - and to me, the New Testament writings are THE authority, anyone afterwards doesn't interest me as to their opinions or insights - 2 Peter 2:9 says "..for God knows how to preserve the unrighteous for CORRECTION/kolazo on day of judgment".

I have to think if the LORD takes us who are chosen and called the elect (and not because we are any better or worse than others) if He leads us through a very effective learning experience.. Why would those who "did evil" who are included in the second resurrection (Rev.20) - "after the thousand years"/millennium - be merely miraculously transformed? Shouldn't, logically (root word logos) be rather, a 'catching up'?

From everyday flawed folks, to the strongly scoffing, to those who carry out great evils against another or others.

Where's the weeping and gnashing of teeth? Though I do believe there is earthly prophecy that includes that.. - And believe lake of fire is earthly prophecy and later the "all in all " event - I still see in my mind a resurrection of judgment that is sure to be rather dramatic. And needing servants/counsellors. For "judgment" makes sense to me that this will be a day of great review of all history, thus some of it rather intense. (Our preparation for the trauma/drama/HEARTBREAK of it being during the millennium?) What a great teaching and driving home of the lesson of good from evil (life from death) opportunity! I simply can't believe in the afterlife vision of the nations that we simply pass from life into perfection and paradise or bliss.. from dying in their sins to bliss and perfection makes no logic to me.. especially after reading the Bible, especially the New Testament for forty years. It just doesn't jive. And it's natural human nature to put teachers thus teachings on pedestals.. Which to me are not in any way THE authority.

The Bible, especially the NT is very much UR/CU and doesn't need or require outside confirmations. We search here and there about folks who may or may not support UR.. When THE authority is the Logos - "reasoning expressed in words" - God's reasoning! Basically what more do we need? People are said to learn by "hearing the Word". I figure that's our tool.. it's building with gold and silver rather than hay and stubble to be burned up in His (fiery) appearing, beginning the Day/Age of the LORD — which precedes - eternity. Of course part of the problem is the urge to metaphor any thing and everything if the understanding isn't present - thus from the "judgment" of the Bible God has said, it's one extreme of "fiery - afterlife - judgment", or the other extreme of "no judgment". Where's the logic? (And the Word?) Though I do realize these other sources are searched by us in our own quest to confirm the reality of UR. But much of them, I think are just confusing the issue and is another way that the "good news unto all" is kept blurry. Of course ET/ECT believes the beliefs of the nations that death is simply another being alive.. There were TWO things said in (the) genesis about this - "dust you are and to dust shall you return" and "surely.. you won't ..die?"

I'm very convinced that God IS life.. what else could or would be? The very spark of life.. which "returns to God who gave it". The spark doesn't fade away, it's our access to it.. as Adam and Eve's access to the tree of perpetual life was barred.
:Peace2: God bless!! :girlheart:

Thank you Marie.  :friendstu:

I like to read other things aside from the Bible and take truths from them too.
You say 'what more do we need'; however; the bible doesn't always make sense to me and has even caused me at times great confusion and unhappiness and i've had to go back and forth over the years between history books and the bible...Greek/Hebrew lingual-books and archeological books and the bible...and so on!  I'm here on Tentmaker doing just that AGAIN!!!
...I could never have known much of what I was reading in the bible without all those 'aids' and the help of other believers so many times (for me) the bible doesn't explain the bible at all.  :dontknow:

The bible was written by men and women inspired by God's spirit; sure...But I don't think that's exclusive only to the bible.  Further revelations? - I believe they still unfold.

John 16:12
"I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear.

One of my own relatives had a nde experience...So that made me a believer.  (Not that I believe anyone who claims to have had one...(I do a lot of homework on someone first before I'll accept their account, but generally I neither believe nor disbelieve someone but let it 'sit' and see if anything transpires of it or if it fits with other truths eventually)...  I've seen two ghosts...Three ufo's, one up close...Things that the bible doesn't talk about or explain (but sometimes hints at).  I've had a telepathic experience and an experience where I knew a loved one had died before anyone told me...The bible doesn't mention some of them but they STILL happened to me so are just as true...What can I say...I just go with what is true in my own life.  :HeartThrob:  I believe with Paul that 'all scripture is 'useful"... Useful.  But not everything.
