Just a few WOW's on which to meditate, pray, praise
WOW  Wondrous things Out of thy Word

Psalm 119:18
Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy word.

www=wait, walk, watch

WAIT

OT
Isaiah 40:31 They that WAIT upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall WALK, and not faint.

NT
2 Thess 3:5
And the Lord direct your hearts  :HeartThrob: into the love of God  :HeartThrob:, and into the patient WAITING for Christ.

in song

WAIT ON THE LORD  Crosby, 1898

Wait on the Lord, wait patiently,
And thou shalt in Him be blest;
After the storm, a holy calm,
And after thy labor rest.

Refrain
Wait on the Lord, for whom hast thou
On earth or in heaven but He?
Over thy soul a watch He keeps,
Wherever thy path may be.

Wait on the Lord, wait cheerfully,
And He will thy youth renew;
Wait on the Lord obediently,
Whatever He bids thee do.

Wait on the Lord, wait lovingly,
Confide in His care thy all;
Those that abide in perfect peace
No danger can e'er befall.

Wait on the Lord, wait joyfully,
For then shall thy heart be strong;
Lo! by His hand He leadeth thee,
And thou shalt be filled with song.

=============================================

WALK

OT
Psalm 89:15
Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound (who understand and appreciate the spiritual blessings symbolized by the feasts); they WALK, O Lord, in the light and favor of Your countenance.

NT
1 John 1:7
If we WALK in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.

in song

WALK IN THE LIGHT Barton, 1826

Walk in the light; so shalt thou know
That fellowship of love  :HeartThrob:
His Spirit only can bestow
Who reigns in light above.

Walk in the light: and sin abhorred
Shall ne'er defile again;
The blood of Jesus Christ, thy Lord,
Shall cleanse from every stain.

Walk in the light: and thou shalt find
Thy heart made truly His
Who dwells in cloudless light enshrined
In Whom no darkness is.

Walk in the light: and thou shalt own
Thy darkness passed away,
Because that light hath on thee shone
In which is perfect day.

Walk in the light: and e'en the tomb
No fearful shade shall wear;
Glory shall chase away its gloom,
For Christ has conquered there.

Walk in the light: and thine shall be
A path, though thorny, bright;
For God, by grace, shall dwell in thee,
And God Himself is light.

=====================================

WATCH

Mark 13:33
Be on your guard [constantly alert], and watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is.

Eph 6:18
Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all manner of prayer and entreaty.  To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints.

in song

WATCH AND PRAY  Crosby, 1885

Watch and pray that when the Master cometh,
If at morning, noon or night,
He may find a lamp in every window,
Trimmed and burning clear and bright.

Refrain
Watch and pray, the Lord commandeth;
Watch and pray, 'twill not be long:
Soon He'll gather home His loved ones,
To the happy vale of song.

Watch and pray: the tempter may be near us;
Keep the heart with jealous care,
Lest the door, a moment left unguarded,
Fearful thoughts may enter there.

Watch and pray, nor let us ever weary;
Jesus watched and prayed alone:
Prayed for us when only the stars beheld Him,
While on Olive's brow they shone.

Watch and pray, nor leave our post of duty,
Till we hear the Bridegroom's voice:
Then, with Him the marriage feast partaking,
We shall evermore rejoice.

============================================

In moments (hours!!) of great distress, struggles, etc., I learned that if I take time to meditate/pray/praise the wondrous things (scripture verses)...I free my mind and heart and God has many times shown me some very practical things to do...

============
WONDER (marvel)

Psalm 65:1
To You belongs silence (the submissive WONDER of reverence which burst forth into praise) and praise is due and fitting to You, O God, in Zion: and to You shall the vow be performed.

2 Thess 1:10 (AMP)
When He comes to be glorified in His saints [on that day He will be made more glorious in His consecrated people], and [He will] be MARVELED at and admired [in His glory reflected] in all who have BELIEVED[who have adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Him], because our witnessing among you was confidently accepted and BELIEVED [and confirmed in your lives].

===========

WORSHIP

Psalm 86:9
All nations whom Thou hast made shall come and WORSHIP before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify Thy name.

Psalm 95:6
O come, let us WORSHIP and bow down:  let us kneel before the Lord our maker.

Psalm 96:9
O WORSHIP the Lord in the beauty of holiness (for divinely merciful):  revere Him, all the earth.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
DON'T WORRY
(instead work, wonder, worship)

1 Peter 5:7 (AMP)
Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your WORRIES, all your concerns, once and for all] on HIM, FOR HE CARES FOR YOU AFFECTIONATELY AND CARES ABOUT YOU WATCHFULLY.

WORK (believing) leads to WONDER (marveling) leads to WORSHIP(praise and adoration)

This maybe a odd question, but where in the Bible does it speak of the "endtimes" or end times? Or is this just another paragraph in the essay of how the imagination of man has given full leaven to what religion and denominations have offered to those who seek a Savior of Love, a message of fear; just as those same religions and denominations offer the false teaching of a place of eternal torment. It is so sad that the message of LOVE has been overwhelmed by man's message of fear, but of course it is fear that offers man the most control. :2c: :dsunny:

Nowhere directly but I think the term isn't that bad.

Endtimes are:
- End of waiting for Jesus' return.
- End of mankind's rulership as King Jesus takes over.
- End of God NOT being all in all.
- End of the bride waiting for her groom.
- End of the old earth, which will be made new/renewed.
- Etc.
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

I believe Paul thought it would be in his lifetime or soon after.

1 Corinthians 10:11
Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Thanks WW...

My only purpose in posting the www. endtimes/all times topic was to encourage those who are in fact worried, fearful, etc., of the end times to focus more on what we as believers should focus on:  waiting upon the Lord, watching and praying, walking in the light, working the work of God, wondering -marveling at His great mercy, and worshipping/praising Him...  I added the "all times" because I believe that the six w's should be our ongoing behavior... and I also believe there will be ongoing "signs" to remind us that there will be a final judgment...  leading, of course,  to  every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father...
