I'm not new to the forum; however, this will be my first post. A question has stopped me in my tracks and my trust issue with God is rearing its ugly head. It is my understanding that following the 1000 year age of freedom from all sin, Satan is set free to roam again. There will probably be more children born during this age. Please correct me if this is an incorrect assumption. I'm at ease knowing that the loved ones I know now will not suffer damnation, but when a person lives their entire life never knowing evil they become very vulnerable as they have no comparison. They will not know as we who have lived on earth now know evil. Why would God allow evil exposure to his beloved creatures again? It feels as though I'll never be free of the worry for loved ones. Thanks for any and all input.
I am addressing this from a historical view of those prophecies.
There are a few words there describing a developement in the "administration of suitable to the completion of times"(eph 1:9-11) that is at least a thousand years in the future. Anything regarding that time is at best seen through a glass darkly, and some see it as already fulfilled, or all typology/allegory/symbolic.
I see it from the historical perspective as an actual prophecy of the end of the next age- sometimes known as the "millenial reign".
Some thoughts.....
The world will not be devoid of evil during the millenial reign- it will be ruled by the benevolent, righteous, sceptre of Christ and His kingdom of first resurrection priests. There will be glory here to fore unknown on earth, but, IMO, it will not be "sinless". Natural men will still choose to enjoy, or conversely, chafe under the rule of Christ. With the same insanity of egoism by which Satan seeks to overthrow the throne of God - there may yet be some who will rally to the rebels cry at the end of that glorious age- perhaps the final treading out of the grapes of wrath before the last adversaries preceding death(1 Corinthians 15:23-28) are made subject to Christ- before God becomes all in all.
If we know that God is just and merciful, and trust that He does all things well, we can be sure that he will do whatever He does WELL as He becomes all in all, everything in everyone, the waterfall within which every being evr created rolls with His love and rejopices in His Spirit.
I can apprehend that God dwells outside and inside of time.
But I cannot comprehend no time.
Hours and years are interchangeable in Gods economy.
There have been seconds and minutes
when I have been so full of the joy of the Lord,
that I had hoped those seconds and minutes would last for ever.
