Re:1- identification of who the message comes from and who the scribe is tghat is recording said message. It then starts to define who the message is for which is all Gentiles on the planet. The letters to the 7 angels who are the heads of the 7 Churches are introduced.
Re:1-3 sorts all Gentiles according to the relationship they have with god based on the 1st NT law that is a mirror of the ones relating to God that comes from the 10 Commandments. Each Church as believers and non-believers in them and the time of their sorting is on the day the 7th trump sounds and on the whole planet 2/3 are found to be sinners and the 1/3 that are believers survive the 7 vials so they and the 144,000 from the 12 Tribes enter the 1,000 year reign with having to be resurrected to be part of it. It should be noted that the ones not gathered at the start of that era are gathered just before that era ends and the GWT event begins.
Re:4-5 is the location of the Temple that replaced the one in Jerusalem when it was taken apart in 70 AD as fulfillment of a few prophecies such as Luke:21:24. The 24 Elders are the 'many saints' that came out of the grave the same morning that Jesus did and they ascended to that temple but did not come back down like Jesus did for 40 days. That was to help the ones He baptized to complete the 40 fast he did after His baptism from above.
Re:6- prophecy brought via the 7 seals. They are prophecy in a vision so they are not events by them selves. This summation is the rider of the white horse is God and it symbolizes the start of the unknown day. That manifests as the coals from heaven being tossed on the earth and that represents sealing the 144,000 and some gentiles that have already repented their sins so they are the ones with a good relationship as defined in the 7 letters. They have more members added as the first 6 trumps sounds and the cut-off is the day the two witnesses are resurrected as that is the day the 7 vials are poured out.
This shows that it is God that is the rider of the white horse in the 1st seal prophecy..

Re:7- starts off with the sealing of 144,000 from the 12 Tribes and the next group described are those that come alive at Judgment Day so that chapter is the first and last to be gathered to God, combined it is all of Adam and Eve' children. The 144,000 represents the whole of the people that will be alive for the 1,000 years.
Re:8- The coals from heaven are events like Saul experienced and it is for the ones that are sealed from being harmed. The math that can be done using numbers given promote the first 4 trumps sound in 4 days and the world goes from 'peaceful' to being under Martial Law as we know it.
A warning is given that things are about to get much worse.
Re:9- explains what the first two woes are all about.
Re:10- is how the resurrection mentioned in Re:20:4 goes. The 7th trumps sounds and then the vials in re:16 kills all sinners in a few hours and in the next few hours right after that the names in the book are read out so that by 'evening' of that same day the whole population that is alive for the 1,000 years is standing and in the same condition Jesus was on the morning of His resurrection. Rather than go to heaven to be glorified Jesus does it on the earth.
Re-11 is the 7 churches and the righteous members in it that are sealed the same as the 144,000 and that means they have similar protection to ensure they do not get harmed as the 6 trumps manifest into reality. The two witnesses are the only people on the planet that have any authority on the earth and the Church is protect by them rather than the Church is allowed to protect itself. In the 4 days they are deas Satan can claim Jerusalem to be Babylon and a false throne is installed in those 4 days and on the day the witnesses are resurrected total destruction cpme onto all of Satan's kingdom forever.
Re:12- is an expansion on Ge:3:15 Eve is the 1st woman and the 12 stars are the 24 elders as it is OT 12 Saints and their wives that make up the 24. The war was during the flood and only Satan was not put into the Pit
Mary, the mother of Jesus is the next woman mentioned and the last woman mentioned if the Beloved Disciple all who survive the 7 vial are part of the group that is protected in the wilderness for the 42 months the Beast is given. The remnant of her seed is the two witnesses alone as that is who the beast is at war with next.
Re:13- follows the pattern set by the 5th and 6th trumps as this chapter is also split into two parts. The image is the false throne that will be erected on holy ground during the time the witnesses are dead. These are also about the same false throne.

Re:14- The 144,000 standing on the same mountain top that Moses and Elias appeared on and from there they watch all the events unfold on the day the two witnesses are resurrected. The two witnesses and all the ones in the 5th seal prophecy watch event from straight overhead.
Re:15- celebration of the Gentiles that survive the 7 vials and enter the 1,000 year reign without having to go to the grave just like the 144,000.
Re:16- how the vials destroy all things on the planet that thinks Satan is God. Tales about 3 hours from start to finish
Re:17-18 details how satan runs things during the period knows as the first two of three woes.
Re:19- the 2nd coming and the destruction of the wicked
Re:20-22- 1,000 year reign and the gathering of a few people at the start and the rest just before it ends. and how everybody gets to the new earth from the 3rd heaven as that is where New Jerusalem is at the present.
Hi! I didn't want to start a new thread.. and I didn't want to write this in the thread I was in (am in) when I read this verse there, Col 2:15:
"Col 2:15 having stripped the principalities and the authorities, he made a shew of them openly—having triumphed over them in it.
I have to duck into my particular rabbit hole for a sec.. This verse, I truly believe is also the First Horse of the Apocalypse - i.e. dramatic title for first Seal of the Book of Revelation. Only a few think this(?) but I think we've locked bible prophecy in a box and slapped the name "7 years" (Only) on it.
First Seal: The Conqueror
Revelation 6:1 Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, "Come and see." 2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.

Then the second horseman, on a red horse, can take peace away.. man's constant unwanted companion.. this one (war) is given a long or great sword - this is the occurrence of 13:13, so huge we miss it (pinpoints an office, 2 horned) - And it is the 6th seal Rev 6:12-17, which we are in a pausing of - 7:1. But the seals are described here, in their totality, thus describing things so early on in the narrative, that occur very late on the planet.
The Revelation vision is portrayed by symbols and metaphor, etc. But it is (imo, :gsmile: ) like all bible prophecy, quite literal. It's my wish Christians would not fear the vision.. if we understood it! It might help. More often folks want to ignore it, even though the book itself says "blessed are those who hear and heed it". Blessed, not cursed.
I understand that there are many folks who believe the vision is entirely allegory for what goes on within.. And of course that's perfectly fine and they may, afterall, of course be right. Only time will truly tell.
I do believe our castles / babble towers within must fall.. but I also believe man's empires cannot remain standing unless - on this side of life / in this age - "all the ends of Earth shall remember and turn to the LORD" (ps. 22:27) which of course would be awesome.
But blessed are those who hear and heed. How are they blessed? So if we somehow pass on understanding of the vision, we will be blessing others! imo

Domitian persecuted those who would not participate in the imperial cult.
The church at Laodicea survived Domitian's reign. The city became a bishopric (seat of a Christian bishop), and a Christian council was even held there in the fourth century C.E. Archaeologists have discovered about 20 ancient Christian chapels and churches at the site. The largest church at Laodicea, called the Church of Laodicea took up an entire city block and dates to the beginning of the fourth century.

We are not told who founded the church of Laodicea in the Bible, yet from textual evidence in the New Testament, we can infer that Epaphras, one the apostle Paul's disciples, likely planted it. We know that Epaphras founded the church at Colossae (Colossians 1:6–7), one of Laodicea's close neighbors. Therefore, it seems plausible that he would also be responsible for planting the church at Laodicea.
