This woman does not have a clue what she is talking about. The program she is looking at does not show the planets to scale to begin with. So the apparent distances are not as close as they appear. Yes that's a close flyby to Mars, but it was still 7 million miles away. The distance to the moon is just over 238,000 miles.

This is just more fear games.  :doh:

i feel most outrageous things can be discounted.. when 'judgment'/unveiling comes it's my belief it all pretty much falls along the lines of consequences of mankind's own doings (which we can see the Bk of rev trends in the world today, the  strongest influences upon mankind, that is)..

the illustration that is, of life w/o all being close to and filled all in all with YHWH.. like microcosm example Israel, having wandered far..

..all per God's plan and outworking, of course! this teaching of ultimately "cannot wander from YHWH" but is the path of "self destructing"(the greek,Strong's)/demonstrated in those who are perishing (usually translated "who perish")

which of course we all were perishing.. the final "perishing" of the world (man's world built on sand) I believe will be the underlining, and eternally remembered highlighting and emphasis, that the one story (cannot build on sand/without YHWH) is the same story of the totality of history, and all throughout history is the same story, and is the same story in every single life..

my  :2c:   if the Lord God doesn't watch/keep the city[earth] the watchmen keepwatch

in vain.  A year or so ago I did a real in-depth look at the state of this world....Iwas

over-whelmed by the precariousnous of the position  ofthis earth and allthat is in it

    Iconcluded..unless God keeps it, allis lost. super-volcanoes,asteroids,meteors

  earthquakes,volcanoes,tsunami's..hail,floods,famines,droughts,pestilence,plague,fire

lightening.

    inthe endofthis....I was left with the impression.....THAT IT IS NOTHING BUT A MIRACLE

  OF GOD THAT LIFE IS HERE.! or that it continue's.........

Thanks to you guys who have contributed. I am so glad to be a member of a community of such wisdom and diversity. I do not have any knowledge of the planetary system, my giftings lie in other areas. WW, that is an outstanding link!

Sheila, I concur with your observations regarding the condition of the planet and man's hand in it. We have been very poor stewards of something that God meant for our home. Your quote about the watchmen was excellent!

Marie, You are right, what we have done to the earth throughout history is a mirror image of what we have done to ourselves and we pay the penalty for it in this life, sickness, death and pain.

URPilgrim, Yes, just more fear, it seems to come in waves.

Thank you all  :banana:

I don't know if I put much stock into these videos. A peer of mine though believes the world is about to end as he posted this video.

Warhawk

I don't know what to make of most of them, including this one.

All I know is what Yeshua said in Matt 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

It says a lot in Matt 24 but I know one thing and that is that NOBODY REALLY KNOWS! I know that God is in control of His Universe and His will, will be done.

Jock that verse does give a lot of hints about timing.
/EDIT because it refers to new year and wedding customs.
Imo it doesn't give a year but it does give a day and month with a 2 day accuracy.
By that I mean it tells us for example the return will be on 10 or 11 September. But not in which year.
If the above is true it can act as a great filter because it would mean all end time scenarios not being centered around that date are bogus.

Building on that there are hints about Jesus returning on a Sabbath year (or even a Jubilee). There is only 1 Sabbath year every 7 years which invalidates all end-time scenarios in the other 6 years.

Sure it is true there are many Sabbath years and 10 Septembers to come. So we still don't know the year. But as said it filters out a lot of false scenarios.

Add to that a day is like  1000 years. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath. Is that the 7th millenium? If so we have another bit of info pinpointing the date of His return.

So to summarize for me that verse should be understood as: I'll return sometime next week.
It gives a narrow time frame without giving an exact time like September 10th 7:13 pm.

Just a thought  :Peace2:

WW, that opens up another question for me. There is talk of a "snatching away"? I think that Noah and his family in the ark, may be a picture of that. I see Christ as our ark! As far as I know, we/the church/bride, is not appointed unto wrath.

Geez, so many questions

Jock.

Forgive me my obsession with weddings...  :angel4:

Part of the ancient Jewish wedding ceremony is likely relevant for your question.

At a certain point in time the groom came for his bride.
--> Groom=Jesus.
--> Bride=elect.

The groom was dressed like a king. Fancy clothes a garland. He was sitting on a wooden bier which was carried by 10 groomsmen. The groomsmen were dressed like soldiers and represented the kings army.
---> The groom was 'in the air'
---> Soldiers are (warrior) angels?

The bride ran outside to her groom.  The groom didn't get of the bier to help her on it. He just pulled her up. This is also called stealing the bride.
--> She met the groom up in the air so to speak.

We are not appointed to wrath, but as God protected Israel from the plagues of Egypt and the wrath of Pharoah at the red Sea, so also He can protect us here, in the world. As Shadrach, Meshach and Abedneggo testified- "You can throw us in the fire, God may deliver us, or He may not- but we will not bow down to your golden image".

The grace of God is sufficient for me, whatever he chooses to do with me, however He wishes to testify through me, by life or death, deliverance or trial.

Psalm 46
:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Psalm 91

91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

The answer to that starts with: To my best knowledge...

They 10 groomsmen+10 bridesmaids+the couple = 22 have a private party nearby the house of the bride.
In the parable of the 10 virgins the 5 foolish ones were not allowed because the rules are strict no lamp no party.
At dawn the maids give the bride a ritual bath.
They take a nap.
Some guests arrived. Wedding vows under the Chuppah.
Procession of more than 22 to the bridal suite at the house of the groom's father. The guests all carry stuff like furniture for the new house.
At arrival the consummate the marriage. Party lasts 1-7 days (years?)

1 Macc They looked out and there they saw the bridegroom, in the middle of a bustling crowd and a train of baggage, coming to meet the bridal party, escorted by his friends and kinsmen fully armed to the sound of drums and instruments of music

  Zechariah 14:4 (AMP)
4 "And His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from the east to the west by a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north and half of it toward the south".. Capitol of the millennium..?

Dunno we should see this literal. It is possible because there used to be tectonic activity in the area. But then I also would expect the Temple mount to split too. It's just 3000 feet away.

Eaglesway. you said:

Yes, the grace of God is the strength to do those things you mention, otherwise, in our humanity, it would just be heroic bravado. I wait for God to say "Be thou strong and very courageous" cuz in my flesh I'm a bit of a coward.
