A dream summarizes world history? - like Revelation..?

Does Nebuchadnezzar's second dream (loosely?) represent - other than the Babylonian fulfulfilment - mankind as a whole? (Daniel 4:22-23, but whole chapter.) And Nebuchadnezzar (the tree in the dream) as representative of mankind? For seven years (7000 years) he was like an animal (as a madness) and "living like an animal with the dew falling on him".
     And the tree was cut down and a band of iron and bronze was put around it. And it was "left in the grass" ..the wilderness of his madness..
     Iron and bronze was in Nebuchadnezzar's first dream (Daniel 2). Most agree they represent Rome and Greece. Ultimately mankind becomes imprisoned via a Roman-Graeco institution? ..of man and his madness? (A last great idol to replace God Most High?)
     [Iron and bronze are also in the "beast more terrible" of Daniel 7:7,19-20, which cross references the one of Revelation 13:1-10.]

..things like this make me think scripture cannot be only spiritual, but of course everything(?) has both an individual and a collective application.. :girlheart:

I came across this lately, about prophecy, that the word "end" the Greek is "tel" and "end-aim" - "This root (tel-) means "reaching the end (aim)." It is well-illustrated with the old pirate's telescope, unfolding (extending out) one stage at a time to function at full-strength (capacity effectiveness)."

The telescoping nature of prophecy? With a 'smaller' scope fulfilment and later a fuller scope fulfilment..

The bands of bronze and iron also remind me of the Babylonian religion, which went to Greece and then to Rome.  It's still around today, and the tree is very much alive.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus
