You know when I was a "Christian" (when I say Christian I'm referring to someone who follows the institutionalized ,organized Christian religion be they Catholic or Protestant) I was anxious all the time. I was always anxious about hell and who would go there. I worried the most about my parents who are "lukewarm" believers to say the least. I was a prisoner to my anxiety and fear, but the TRUTH shall set you FREE.

For me , this verse sounds more like a personal relationship with the Lord God than anything
I am remined when Jesus went to the mountain to pray alone to His Father
not bringing a group with Him so all could pray about it , that intimate time alone with God is the precious thing ever filling your earth/mortal body with His presence /Spirit and truth
this is how we are comforted
Jesus even warns in Matt 6 NET BIBLE
Private Prayer
5 "Whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, because they love to pray while standing in synagogues and on street corners so that people can see them.
Truly I say to you, they have their reward.
6 But whenever you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret.
And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.
7 When you pray, do not babble repetitiously like the Gentiles, because they think that by their many words they will be heard.
8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9 So pray this way:
Our Father in heaven, may your name be honored,
10 may your kingdom come,
may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread,
12 and forgive us our debts, as we ourselves have forgiven our debtors.
13And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
I am drawn to some Psalms as prayer in the sense of praying their essence silently rather than the actual singing. I think it is the deep yearning of the Psalmist of old I can hear, the love for the LORD God is so real, genuine, there is real feeling, heady and potent love, not of the mind but of the heart. The Psalmist is truly in love with God and is overjoyed to the point of where it is not going to be kept in, it must be let out in a 'joyful noise', such a strong urge to bring this to others, to carve out and utilise simple words to bring others into the relationship with the God who is literally and truly everything to the Psalmist...
Psalms, Chapter 95
1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.
7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.
