Hello all, I was wondering how to respond to ET'ers who use the following verses of Joel 2 in order to justify Hell visions. Please advise. Thanks and God Bless.
Joel 2:28-32
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
Simply speak biblical truth, the Bible no where speaks of a "hell of eternal torment." Besides, just where in the verses you produce shows any evidence of "hell visions?"

Joel 2 is the Prophecy that Jesus Christ fulfills by the Spirit of prophecy being the SPIRIT of TRUTH
Its the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and we know He did come to Judge the world in righteousness
and many of the prophecies of Joel 2 have been fulfilled
such as the Day of Pentecost in Acts 1 when the promise of the Holy Spirit would be poured out on all flesh
For all of us its how we ''perceive '' become aware or conscious of the Word of God come to realize or understand the scriptures .
And interpret or look on the Word of God in a particular way or regard as truth .
Some still with fear and carnal understanding
and Some by the Very Spirit of truth that God increases with the Knowledge of Him though Jesus Christ
We ask for His truth and wisdom in life and less and less of our own truth and understanding and wisdom
He must increase and the Light must shine within us
I do not believe we can convince anyone but we are to persuade them in the right direction with prayers that God will help them , just as he did you to understand what the Spirit is saying as Truth

I think what we've been taught to believe contributes to what we see in visions and dreams, and that's why some folks see what they believe is "hell." The truth though is that what is thought to be "hell" is just a common misconception propagated by the doctrine of orthodoxy supported by forgery in the translation of scripture. The word "hell" is simply an Old English word used in the Douay-Rheims Catholic Version and the King James Version to translate the Greek "hades," literally "unperceived" or "unseen," describing the unseen state of dead souls. Unfortunately "hell" is also used to intentionally mistranslate "Gehenna" twelve times thereby causing "hell" to be thought of as torture in fire of so called immortal souls, but "Gehenna" is actually the old city dump of Jerusalem where corpses of executed criminals were burned and will be again in the next eon. Visions and dreams can contain things that aren't real even though they seem to be.
