Zechariah 2:8 For thus said the LORD of hosts; After the glory has he sent me to the nations which spoiled you: for he that touches you touches the apple of his eye.
Malachi 1:2-3 I have loved you," says the Lord.
"Yet you say, 'In what way have You loved us?'
Was not Esau Jacob's brother?"
Says the Lord.
"Yet Jacob I have loved; But Esau I have hated,
And laid waste his mountains and his heritage
For the jackals of the wilderness
Jeremiah 30:11 I am with you and will save you,' declares the LORD. 'Though I completely destroy all the nations among which I scatter you, I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you but only in due measure; I will not let you go entirely unpunished.'
why does god destroy other nations, but Israel does not?why not discipline other nations?
31:3 The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
Deuterenomy 7:7-8 The Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. 8 But it was because the Lord loved you and kept the oath he swore to your ancestors that he brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
Why does God discriminate for Israel? Why does God always say just love them?
:Chinscratch: ...it says it wasn’t because they were special.. they’re just flawed humans like the rest of us.. but i’m Thinking maybe it’s like a gardener.. He had to choose a spot in the garden of nations and work the soil and pull out weeds - of other beliefs which had sprouted and grown up, and in the case of the Canaan nation’s, had become quite noxious weeds indeed, passing / sacrificing children through fire to fierce ancient ‘gods’ (Which Paul later declared were demons).
So a little plot of ground to be somewhat prepared to birth Messiah/savior of the world into.. as opposed to coming in the midst of the indigenous beliefs somewhere else.
And now the adversary - see Rev ch. 12 - pursues the faith down through the centuries, with in late days, turning his attention back more fully to Israel - see Rev 12:17. Very late, seems after Israel says “blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD” (Mt.23:39). The verse says “to make war with” and by Rev 16:14,15,16 “unclean spirits go out to Kings of earth to gather to Armageddon, blessed is the one keeping their attire for I come as a thief, and they gathered (the tares?) gather to Armageddon”.
I have to assume that hatred of Israel is also dislike of and disobedience to God’s Spirit/rule, which of course, except for the grace of God there go you or I..
Praise the Lord, we can SO rejoice to know “all the ends of Earth will remember/come to their senses, and turn to the LORD” Ps 22:27. Before coming to the LORD, we all, and nations, may be destroyed.. but He promises resurrection of all and “every family of the nations will worship/rejoice before Him” after remembering/coming to their senses that is.. the rest of verse 22:27.
“Hate” the original word used actually more closely means like or love less.. like when Jesus said must hate your mother, brothers, etc.. of course means love them less than the all encompassing love of Him..
And of course it could be said Gid loves less any nations burning children alive in fire while they beat drums (Josephus’ history accounts?) to drown out the screams. Tophet Valley - valley of “drums/Tophet” also called Gehenna and H’Armageddon valley. Which in this case was Israel doing, and is why they were carried away to Nineveh/Babylon.. and came back finally sans the pagan and idol religions which had such horror fruit. And after a time came Messiah into the swaddling cloth called Israel (Rev 12:1).
what I understand,
God doesn't discipline everyone. ( we see this in many verses.)
Not everyone is a child of God.
And God doesn't say he loves everyone. ( There is no such verse in the Bible.) John 3:16 only this one and it is very clear to comment... Word of WORLD. Not EVERYONE.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1Ti 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
Mar 10:45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
We see here, that Christ as a ransom is giving His life to all. Who did He give His life to? THE WORLD! He loves the world, He loves us, and that includes the world(everyone!)
Joh 3:17 For God does not dispatch His Son into the world that He should be judging the world, but that the world may be saved through Him.
Mar_16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Doesn't the world include every creature?
2Co 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Rom 8:20 for to vanity was the creation made subject—not of its will, but because of Him who did subject it —in hope,
Rom 8:21 that also the creation itself shall be set free from the servitude of the corruption to the liberty of the glory of the children of God;
Rom 8:22 for we have known that all the creation doth groan together, and doth travail in pain together till now.
Rom 8:23 And not only so , but also we ourselves, having the first-fruit of the Spirit, we also ourselves in ourselves do groan, adoption expecting—the redemption of our body
Rom 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Pro 3:12 because the LORD corrects the person he loves, just as a father corrects the son he delights in.
Deu 8:5 Be convinced in your heart that as a father disciplines his son, so the LORD your God disciplines you.
Heb 12:6 for whom the Lord is loving, He is continuously disciplining (child-training), and He is continuously scourging every son whom He is taking alongside with His hands (accepting; receiving).
1Co 15:22 For just as within Adam all keep on (everyone continues) dying, in the same way, also, within the Christ all (everyone) will be made alive
1Co 15:23 – yet each person within his (her) own class or division (or: ordered rank; place or appointed position [in line]; arranged [time] or order of succession): Christ a Firstfruit, next after that, those belonging to the Christ (or: the ones who have their source and origin in Christ; those who are [a part] of the Christ) within the midst of His presence,
1Co 15:24 thereafter, the goal (the finished work; the embodiment of maturity and perfection; the fulfillment; the result; the outcome; the end attained; the realization of the perfect discharge; or: the end; the closing act; the consummation), when He can proceed handing over (or: may progressively pass along and entrust; should by habit give over) the reign (or: kingdom) to God, even [the] Father (or: in [His] God and Father), at the time that He should bring down to idleness (make unemployed and ineffective; nullify; abolish; render useless and unproductive) every rulership of government (all headship and sovereignty), even all (or: every) authority and power!
1Co 15:25 For it is binding (necessary) for Him to be continuously reigning (ruling as King) until which [time] (or: until where) He should (may) put (place) all the enemies under His feet.
1Co 15:26 [The] last enemy being progressively brought down to idleness (made unemployed and ineffective; rendered useless and unproductive; nullified; abolished) [is] the Death.
1Co 15:27 For, "He subjects (arranges in subordination, bringing under full control) all things under His feet." Now whenever He may say that everything (all things) has been arranged in subjection and placed under full control, [it is] evident (clearly visible) that [it is] with the exception of and outside of the One subjecting the whole (arranging all things in subordination under) in Him (to Him; for Him).
1Co 15:28 Now whenever the whole (all things) may be subjected in Him (to Him; for Him), then the Son Himself will also be subjected (placed and arranged under) in the One (to the One) subjecting the whole (all things) in Him (to Him), that God can be all things within the midst of and in union with all men (or, as a nuet.: may be everything in all things; or: should exist being All in all).
what I don't understand, why don't have a verse that clearly says him love everyone? But He always and clearly saying he loves Israel !??
can you write me verses that everyone is punished for discipline?
I can tell you that everyone has not been disciplined.
can you write verses telling me that everyone is a god child?
I can find in the Bible that not everyone is a god child.
I started to hate the facts I read.
1 John 4:10
In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Acts 10:34-35
So Peter opened his mouth and said: "Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.
1 John 4:19
We love because he first loved us.
1 John 4:16
So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
1 John 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
Ephesians 2:4-5
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
1 John 2:2
He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
John 3:35
The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.
John 3:16-17
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
HATE means to not favor in Hebrew/Jewish/biblical thought. It doesn't mean hate in the modern sense. So no, God didn't hate Esau, he just favored Jacob for His purposes.
The same with Israel, they were favored for a purpose and plan.
But the plan ends with God all-in-all.
Luke 11
11"Which of you fathers, if your son asks for f a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"
Can you imaging hating one of your children? God is a better father than earthly fathers, so if we can't imagine hating one of our children he certainly doesn't.
Here's another thing. God made it, so that those who want the truth will search for it. You have to put verses together. If you expect to be spoon fed all the answers, what good training will that do? You know the fruits of the Spirit? The first one is patience! God is patient!
You don't hear that nowdays! That is one thing He is training us to be. Either in this age or the next.
PS. When I say "spoon fed" the answers, I am not referring to asking God for it. If anyone lacks anything, we are called to ask for it. Why? Because that is how great His love is...
God bless

1 John 4:9-11 -
God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent His One and Only Son into the world so that we might live through Him.Or consider this - If God is life, itself, or even if He isn't He is everywhere and in all things, yes? So doesn't that mean He not only witnesses all horrible things people do to one another, sometimes on a huge scale.. then He lives through and experiences it all!
How can we even begin to comprehend that? Not only putting up with it all and seeing it all, but actually experiencing it all.
And then not only that, but it's my belief that at the idea/plan/will to create a physical world and thinking creatures of it, it was known by Father and Son -- the danger(?) -- the Pandora's box(?) -- the need for the very STRONGEST assurance, of God's LOVE & faithfulness. Something stark and to the point and above all-- ? Able to reach each and every psyche and consciousness that is ever born.
So as the unavoidable path that physical world takes.. because of two things.. thinking ability which includes, sooner or later, the ability to make choices and 2, the temptations that naturally can and I guess do come about because of the very nature of "pysical-ness".
So to pull all souls out of that and 'back' to the Father (who is Life?) --- an image strong enough to pierce every heart (ultimately) no matter how craven that heart is or descends into the depths of darkness that imperfection (obviously it seems) can sink to.. A bottomless pit! [Oh what a contrast! "True" Life shall be! Not even imaginable...]
Like ML said, I agree.. "ye shall find
me - the real Him - when ye seek me with your whole heart".. and then we know.
We must learn to trust His faithfulness. No matter what the babbling wold may say.. and be saying and for a time will certainly continue saying..
:Peace2: God bless you!
oh, p.s., that image is Jesus executed, hanging on the cross.. [Only because the Father Himself cannot 'get off the throne' lest all things fall apart.. of course? But He was there.. lived through and experienced it all.. Ever watch "Passion" Of The Christ.. directed by that crazy dude Mel? (Gibsen) Or read about crucifixion?
1 Corinthians 13 of course :gsmile:
P.S.
“For this is how God loved the world, that He gave His one and unique Son, that whoever believes in Him will never perish but have everlasting life.”
"..I looked! And behold! A great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” 11 All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:
“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever.
Amen.”
13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”
I believe this to be a spiritual gathering not of the millennium etc.. jes sayin' (just in case that is, all truth/only truth.. as it's so early in the Rev narrative, at Rev 7) The best way to communicate that God loves is to love.. We are a letter to unbelievers/the world.
And, 1 John 4:8 of course "God is love". All of it.. that's Him.
Hebrews 12 5-9
5 And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, 6 because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son."7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? 8 If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. 9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live!
Revalation 3:19
19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.
Hebrews 12:10-11
10 They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
◄Mark 9:49
For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.
Thank you for all the verses.but he still doesn't say he disciplines people who don't have a son. only sons are discipline. And not everyone is a son.
in the holy book, God only punishes the people he doesn't love. doesn't discipline.
And I still don't know why God doesn't say his love as (other nations or EVERYONE) he said to Israel. His love is only for Israel and his sons. The holy book says that.
Hebrew verses,
Not everyone. Only his sons.
Mark verses,
I'm not sure this is a discipline.
furthermore, it is important what 'everyone' is saying with the word.
Revelation verses,
Not everyone. only his loved ones.
If he loves everyone, there is no point in making a distinction here.but he makes the distinction by saying that my loved people.
This is from a mainstream Christian website:
There is a sense in which God loves everyone in the whole world (John 3:16; 1 John 2:2; Romans 5:8). This love is not conditional—it is rooted in God's character and based on the fact that He is a God of love (1 John 4:8, 16). God's love for everyone could be thought of as His "merciful love," since it results in the fact that God does not immediately punish people for their sins (Romans 3:23; 6:23). "Your Father in heaven . . . causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous" (Matthew 5:45). This is another example of God's love for everyone—His merciful love, His benevolence extended to everyone, not just to Christians.
God's merciful love for the world is also manifested in that God gives people the opportunity to repent: "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise. . . . Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). God's unconditional love is related to His general call to salvation and what is often called His permissive or perfect will—that aspect of God's will that reveals His attitude and defines what is pleasing to Him.
Psalm 67:4
4 May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples with equity and guide the nations of the earth.

Why does God discriminate for Israel? Why does God always say just love them?
Why were we created?
How do we learn the difference between right and wrong?
Knowledge is one thing, but wisdom comes from experience.
Romans chapters 9 through 11 give a detailed reason for a lot of how God works, and differentiates between Israel and the Gentiles.
9;15,16 " For He says to Moses,
' I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.'
So then it does NOT DEPEND ON HUMAN DESIRE OR EXERTION BUT ON GOD'S MERCY."
9;18 " So then our God has mercy on whoever He wills, and He hardens whoever He wills."
9;22-24 " What if God, willing to display His anger and make known His power,
has endured with much patience the objects of His anger prepared for destruction?
And what if He did so to make known the riches of His glory to the objects of mercy,
Which He prepared beforehand for glory,
even us whom He has called, not only from the Jews but also the Gentiles."
10;3 " For ignoring the righteousness that comes from God,
and seeking to establish their own,
they did not submit to God's righteousness."
11;29-32 " For the GIFTS AND THE CALLING OF GOD ARE IRREVOCABLE.
For just as at one time YOU were disobedient to God but NOW have received mercy because of their disobedience,
so they also at the present time have been disobedient
in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy.
FOR GOD HAS CONSIGNED ALL TO DISOBEDIENCE SO THAT HE MAY SHOW MERCY TO ALL."
1 Cor 10;3-7 " And all ate the same spiritual food and all drank the same spiritual drink;
for they used to drink from the spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ.
But God was not pleased with most of them, for their corpses were scattered over the desert.
Now these things took place AS EXAMPLES FOR US, so that we would not crave the evil things as they did."
Paul in his writings elaborates about the difference between the ecclesia/first fruits, and then the rest of mankind.
I.M.O the ones who are not being corrected in this present age will be corrected in the ages to come;
1 Tim 2;5,6 " For there is one God and one mediator between God and people; Christ Jesus,
Who gave Himself as a ransom for ALL- the witness/testimony at the proper time."
Eph 3;10,11 " So the now through the ecclesia[first fruit]
the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly realms,
according to the aeonian purpose that God accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Then there is an indication of the future of mankind being significantly changed.
Gal 3;28 " There is no longer Jew or Greek, slave or free, male of female,; for you are all in Christ."
Yes referring to the children through the faith if Christ.
Col 3;11 " Here there is neither Greek and Lew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free,
but Christ is all and in all."
Gal 4;27 " For it is written,
' rejoice O barren woman, you who bear no children;
break forth and cry aloud, you who are not in the pain of childbirth!
For the number of the children of the desolate will be greater than the number of those who has a husband."
I.M.O this refers to the children of Christ being more than the children of the flesh- after all there is a statement of the heavenly families being named as well as the earthly;
Eph 3;14,15 " For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
from Whom every family in heaven and on earth derives it's name."
We were made in God's image for a reason.
Amen to the above posts! :gsmile:
I think this life - letting choices other than His exist and run their course - is a drama. And by a lucky toss of the heavenly die/dice, some are chosen to come to faith during this life. And some afterwards, obviously, at a later time or age.
Israel was prepared for Messiah to be birthed into. That He loved and took care of Israel, to me is a good thing. Why are we assuming He doesn't love the other nations? A father loves his unruly children.. what about the prodigal son? Jerusalem is where His Kingdom will be centered from. Obviously He doesn't think man should be against that or the nation. But there are reprimands against abuse to other nations as well, as well as instructions to Israel to treat rightly the stranger and soujourner in their land.
Are these questions for your own belief benefit?
Or for answers to others-I think this may be a day of man judging God; but praise God, when He judges man, "mercy trumps judgment" - And thus all shall live - this to me is love - & all will overcome the carnal character through full understanding, the carnal character having caused the sufferings and deaths of life.
First I guess is the matter of belief/trust. And added to it is a matter of rightly dividing His word and being found of Him able to pass out meat/sustenance in due season.. So finding answers is
In a (truth proving) drama (this life/history) you need more than one character. Hence wheat and tares. Though we all start out as tares - which is why I think coming to the faith later, will be no more stringent than it was for us.
And as Paul wrote even Israel is only saved by faith. And in Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek, male nor female, bond or free/rich or not so rich, but all are one in Christ Jesus.
Jesus said take the gospel to all nations. ..God so loved..
Punishment? If a parent says don't touch the hot stove. Then the child does and it burns. Did the parent punish the child? Or was being burned simply the result of touching the hot stove?
Does God sometimes punish nations? When Satan&co were using them to try to destroy God's planting of the seed - Jesus - in the Holy Land? Thankfully yes.
And don't forget the religions of the day, each city-state had their own state God and made war with the others. How effective a God of peace in such barbaric sentiment? I guess we'd have to take that up with God if we think He's wrong. And I think He doesn't have a problem with that at all. But hopefully, in such a case, we have "ears to hear".
Oh! I almost forgot. What about the gift of life? That each person is? Isn't that something to be thankful for and an evidence of love? Think of all the beautiful faces... of the lovely branches of the human family.. the beautiful so alike yet unique ethnicities.. Beauty. Love. "God is Love." "We shall be like Him, for we shall" finally? "see Him as He is."
The w h o l e thing is love! From start to finish.. God din't slay Abel. But God didn't make Cain to be a robot either. And that too! Is love. (imho, that is :)
:dontknow: :Peace2:
Thank you for answers.
still don't get the exact answer to my questions.
I'm confused because of the holy book.
Israel was always a favorite of God.
Also, He forgive Israel through the prayers of the prophets.other nations are deprived of this.
while other nations disappeared, Israel remained alive. Moreover, Israel was more guilty. The Bible says it.
my other questions above. and still valid.
The best answer I can think of is, all will be resurrected and reconciled to God. He's letting things run their course, as opposed to people being like robots. That too is love, as well as not making us like robots. Israel was chose as a birthplace. God doesn't pursue nations. Not yet.
He does everything perfectly. When we realize this, no end to happiness and peace.
:Peace2: :girlheart:
yes one day everything will be fixed. But If God made injustice in time, how can we ignore it?
Should we ignore all injustices because one day everything will be fine !??
Are you saying God is unjust?
Are you saying God never punished Israel?
But Israel has been very persecuted all through history.. Even now, missiles come into Israel every day. To say nothing of just about all the world hating you for existing. Do you think God removing His protective shield was not punishment/consequences enough?
They also were punished in the Old Testament by their nation being destroyed and the few survivors were carried off to Ninevah/Babylon.. And also was 70 a.d. one of the worst razing of a nation in history..
Other than that, if you were creator, and all powerful - how would you keep people from doing wrong things?
God bless..
Please Marie Do not get me wrong.
I never said Israel was never punished. I said, İsrael never disappear as other nations.
And I said these,
Jeremiah 30:11 I am with you and will save you,' declares the LORD. 'Though I completely destroy all the nations among which I scatter you, I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you but only in due measure; I will not let you go entirely unpunished.'
why does god destroy other nations, but Israel does not?why not discipline other nations?
Why does God discriminate for Israel? Why does God always say just love them?
God doesn't discipline everyone. ( we see this in many verses.)
Not everyone is a child of God.
And God doesn't say he loves everyone. ( There is no such verse in the Bible.) John 3:16 only this one and it is very clear to comment... Word of WORLD. Not EVERYONE.

can you write me verses that everyone is punished for discipline?
I can tell you that everyone has not been disciplined.
can you write verses telling me that everyone is a god child?
I can find in the Bible that not everyone is a god child.

He loved israel because of the ancestors of israel.I wish I had an Israeli ancestor!!Not everyone has an Israeli ancestor!!!
Anyway, I understood that I could not get a clear answer to my questions. I leave this topic in the hands of God.
I love you all. See you Soon.

If He is love, it seems logical to me He loves all, proof being He "is savior of all" 1 Tim 4:10.

The question: Is God A Racist?
The Sort Answer: No!
The Long Answer: No, but perhaps...
I'm limited for time at present so am not sure which of the many point s above I should try to address first. I think it best if i just try to explain the facts.
I take it that you believe that God created all things, yes? I take it you also believe that God is a sane and rational being; He's not a madman?
Therefore you can conclude that God is not a racist and does not actually 'hate' anything He has created, only a madman would create something they hate and then let that something continue to exist.
I also take it you think God is infallible? Only a fallible being could create something and then afterwards come to hate it. God is a rational being He created all things and upholds their existence, if He has created something he does not love He is either mad or He has made a mistake. Since neither of these is possible it must be concluded that God has made all things and loves all things. There is nothing that exists that God hasn't made therefore there is nothing that exists that God doesn't love (excluding only perhaps the products of our wickedness like knives and guns, I not sure God loves them).
So appearances of racism or favoritism in God are simply in order to fulfill His purposes which are an absolute priority. if He didn't preserves one nation in spite of their wickedness it might upset His road into the world. Obviously I'm oversimplifying but God is not racist. Some could argue He even treats some Israelites better than other Israelites.
God will bless and save all the descendants of Adam and Eve...BUT...
...the descendants of the man Jacob/Israel are special for one simple reason:
God took corporate Israel as His WIFE at His mountain in the land of Midian (not Mount Sinai).
