Who is the judge?
John 12:47-4947"As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. 48There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day. 49For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it.
John 5:22
Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son,
So, so far, we are told that Jesus does not judge, even though all judgement has been entrusted to him and the Father doesn't judge either. Then we are told that God does do the judging and we are to live our lives as strangers in reverent fear because of that.
1 Peter 1:17
Since you call on a Father who judges each man's work impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear.
So my question is; "who is the judge?" Any help on this one?
More to see and understand, consider and reason with; I am still looking through the glass darkly.
1Co 6:2 have ye not known that the saints shall judge the world? and if by you the world is judged, are ye unworthy of the smaller judgments?
I POSTED THE QUESTION ON FACEBOOK FOR MY UNIVERSALIST FRIENDS...HERE ARE SOME RESPONSES IF THEY ARE ANY HELP TOWARDS SOLVING THIS...
God
There should be no other.
God
ALL of the above... IS... the correct answer... ;)
God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?
And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD's.
John 5:22 [Jesus speaking]: "Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgement to the Son....''
John 8:15 [Jesus speaking]: "You [Jews/Pharisees] judge by human standards; I pass judgement on no one."
John 12:47 [Jesus spe...aking]: "As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it."
So so far we see that 'Jesus judges noone'
John 12:47
.... I did not come to judge the world, but to save it."
and neither does God.
John 5:22
Moreover, the Father judges no one
The only thing I have learned from reading the bible on this is that "God and Jesus do the judgin...g and yet somehow they don't at the same time
Saviors on Mt Zion judging their own Esau(fleshman, carnal mind)
Okay, I'll bite. The father judged no man but "recused" himself and committed judgment to the Son (John 5). The son "recused" himself and said he judges not, but the word he speaks judges. His word is commanded by the Father and that commandment is "Everlasting Life". Therefore, the word Jesus spoke judges on the last day and that is "Everlasting Life." NO ONE CAN REJECT EVERLASTING LIFE! It's the commandment of God.=:D
Acts 17:31
because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead."
2 Cor 6
2 Or do you not know that the saints will ...judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases?
3 Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life!
1 Cor 11:31
But if we judged ourselves truly, we would not be judged. But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned along with the world.
GOD -- 'God (the 'judge of ALL men' -- Hebrews 12:23) WILL JUDGE RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE as well as wicked people' {Ecclesiastes 3:17}
CHRIST -- 'righteous are HIS (Christ's) judgements'
OURSELVES -- 'Don't you realize that someday we believers will judge the world? And since you are going to judge the world, can't YOU DECIDE EVEN THESE LITTLE THINGS AMONG YOURSELVES?' {1 Corinthians 6:2}
"In whom also we (those who are " 'The Christ' of THE CHRIST") have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him (GOD) who works all things after the counsel of his own (GOD's OWN) will" {Ephesians 1:11}
God, Christ, & ourselves (again) are ALL (one &) correct... ;)
Contridictions within Scripture exist ONLY TO... the carnal mind... In The Spirit... it ALL works out... ;)
This might explain it more

Yeah the laws of truth that governs the universe. Jesus himself may not judge but the laws of the universe judges the sins, which his word created.
In principle and actuality "the" truth." It is good.

Christ is going to have a Judgment Seat during the Millennium but at the Great White Throne it's God doing the judging. :2c:
I believe if one is hearing, they are being judged now, To Day. Heb. 4:7 "....To-day, if His voice ye may hear, ye may not harden your hearts,' "
Mat 10:28 `And be not afraid of those killing the body, and are not able to kill the soul, but fear rather Him who is able both soul and body to destroy in gehenna.
:cloud9: I do too, Micah....

I believe we will judge ourselves in the light of Christ as every evil thought and deed of a lifetime that we thought was hidden in darkness is brought to light before his glory.
And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.
61And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
62And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.

Amen Molly ,
Jam 4:12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
there are 3 laws working by the LAWGIVER .. law of sin and death Law of Life in Christ and law of Liberty
Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
1Cr 15:56 The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law.
Jam 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth [therein], he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Jam 2:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
showing mercy also obtains mercy
