I tried to watch a program that was explaining and showing the 6 locations thought to be the entrance to the "gates" of hell. I laughed most of the time, but still am more understanding of why most of the people who go to church accept and believe in the mythical fables of hell being a place of eternal torment and the residence of the devil.
They used theological scholars, authors of books on hell, and people who have experienced hell and it's torments. Much like "23 minutes in Hell." What was the most revealing was the proof that was offered was all proof from pagan and Greek and Egyptian religions. I don't believe they used the Bible for proof or reference accept for this verse
Eph 4:9 and that, he went up, what is it except that he also went down first to the lower parts of the earth?
It's amazing how people have come to believe that garbage, who probably have never tried to find the substance of hell as a place of eternal torment in the Bible they own. And it's shows like this who
produce these fables as real in truth(if it's on TV it must be true). It's not so much that believers are believing a lie, they are accepting as proof of a hell of eternal torment, from stories created by man's imagination(carnality).
If any of the information given in the pictures provided by that program can be offered and found in the Word Of God it could be debated. But it seems Dante and Milton among others are the sole places for their proof. It was really quite funny in a sad way. I believe Paul affirms is correctly, Eph 6:14 Stand, therefore, having your loins girt about in truth, and having put on the breastplate of the righteousness,
Eph 6:15 and having the feet shod in the preparation of the good-news of the peace;
Eph 6:16 above all, having taken up the shield of the faith, in which ye shall be able all the fiery darts of the evil one to quench,
Eph 6:17 and the helmet of the salvation receive, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the saying of God,
Eph 6:18 through all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the Spirit, and in regard to this same, watching in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints--

Dante, Milton and all the rest of them - the final nail in the coffin of Hell for me was the realization that it was all based on fiction - mythology, synthetic/syncretistic theology, epic poetry, narrative prose, ewetoob videos, etc, etc, etc. None of it is inspired by God, nor is any of it verifiable. :doh: :footmouth: :doh:
Sounds like one of those garbage shows on National Geographic or History. Those "factual" shows are all based on myths and sensationalism, like the reporting of CNN, The Weather Channel, ESPN, etc.
I admit I used to watch those types of shows a lot and get wrapped up in them, but now I'll only watch to laugh at them. Lol like there are 6 geographic locations to the gates of an eternal fiery hell. So does that mean I can just go and jump into hell and chill with the devil whenever I want? Maybe to punish my kids someday, I will take them to one of these locations and shove them in because that's what a just, loving father does, right?
I find it horribly sad that some use the things of God as a weapon against others.
Thes things were written, that it would be so, so that we upon whom the end of the age is come, may be prepared, just as Micah wrote, "Feet shod with the preparation of the good news of peace".
I think there are fare more that 6 gates of hell. I would say the number equals the number of ETs with their message of despair.

I bet that wasn't a huge suprise. Hell was invented by the Egyptians. At least I don't know any other civalisation that had such detailed teachings on it before them
