i think the quotes of the last words of some famous atheists are quite popular, something like "what an idiot have i been, now i go to hell", i quess these quotes are also known in America, at least in Germany they are quite popular, i hope you know what i mean, what do you think about? are these quotes even authentic?
something like this: http://www.bibleweb.com/content/atheists.htm
i mean they prove nothing, many catholics have terrible fear of going to hell when they die, it might be the fear of the things they had been taught, but anyway whats your opinion about?
Quote; To which Campbell replied: "And no more hope, either."
That's what I was thinking was part of this issue, the 'no hope' piece. Without God, we don't feel hopeful...also, they very well may have been sensing an upcoming 'doom', their impending "facing God and then what?..after death the judgment." I would also guess they would react to what they feared/believed, i.e., "hell", whether their perception was accurate or not. Because we don't believe punishment is eternal, doesn't mean there isn't punishment and things unholy being burned out of us...which, even though for the good, IMO, will be a painful process. So the unbeliever does have the purifying Lake of Fire to look forward to..and for the fearful and unbelieving, that will be torture for awhile.
God's blessing, James.
Richard Dawkins has said he wants a tape recorder by his deathbed to prove he didn't convert. What a hateful man.
Sven,
That are quotes of former atheists. They speak about God and the hereafter.
Sounds a bit like Godlyists
