Since hell is a made up word and an inaccurate translation, then we start off with a problem.

Now did they really experience something besides their imagination and indoctrination, that may be another question.  I personally have little doubt that many will face a period of corrective discipline.  Eternal torture from a loving Father?  Not so much.

I've read Rawlings' stuff.  Does he seem totally on base to you?

If you're a father, is there anything your child could do to where you would allow them to be burned, seared, tormented for not tens, or hundreds, or millions - but for billions of years - and you not do anything to stop it if it was within your power at all to do so?  What about any other earthly father you know?  If they would, what would you think of them?  What would you say their character was?

If your child (or any child) was in extreme torment, or standing in the street about to be smeared by an oncoming vehicle, what would you do?  Say "oh well, that's their choice.  They should have known better", and turn away - or even worse, just stand and watch when you could do something to stop it from happening?  Or would you risk life and limb, and do WHATEVER IT TOOK to get that child to safety?

"..how much more your heavenly Father..?"

Honestly, I am still confused as to how this 'age' of corrective discipline  works. I think that too is a mystery, being that the LOF is not a 'literal' place. Well, another one of the mysteries of God..

Yes, these types of videos are easy to find, as they are sweeping the internet like some sort of black plague, it's quite hard not be made aware of them either via a message board such as this one or elsewhere....

Not content with merely making videos in order to terrorize millions, many have also written bestselling books as well

No one has a real testamony of hell, to assert that it is real concludes that you can go to hell and then escape which contradicts what you profess to be the gospel.

To say they are visions and therefore true is simply to suggest , whether you realize it or not,  that hollywood writers of horror movies are depicting possible reality since you will be hard pressed to prove the difference of a vision and someones vivid imagination.

Interestingly enough, I have never seen one of these NDE's say that they called out to Jesus and he didn't show up.  He always shows up when they call out to him.  In some cases, they are even told by a voice to pray to God [if they don't think of it themselves].

For which cause, I have been telling my atheist friends--if you ever get in trouble, call out to the Lord Jesus and he will save you.  OK, they don't take it well--but they will remember. :laughing7:

I wouldn't be suprised is the average satanic website is more loving. But I did warn you Q. "ET delight is a strong hint".
But no worries there are even christian sites that make satan scared.

Q, I hope the (majority of the) other NDEs made you  :boydance:

Maybe these experiences are genuine, but perhaps not for the reasons most people think, could it perhaps be, that God doesn't want us to unquestioningly accept something like this, and wants us to earnestly search for the truth ourselves instead, and pray that he will show us without a shadow of a doubt, that something so unspeakably horrific and monstrous, couldn't possibly be true

The following verse comes to mind

Mat 7:11  If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

If the above verse is true, then how could God possibly have such a fate in store for most people, as an evil person myself, I couldn't bear to do something like that to my worst enemy

Possibly... ?

Just a few thoughts.  Revelation is the revelation of Jesus Christ, who is, was, and will be.  ie. it a description in metaphorical language of what Jesus Christ is doing.  Part of that is the lake of fire.  Now would this mean that the lake of fire is, was, and will be?

We have trials by fire.
We are judged by fire.
We are saved by fire.
God is a consuming fire.
Everyone will be salted with fire.

WHEN?  .... is, was, and will be... WHEN is the lake of fire?  Is it now?
WHERE?  Is it here?

I don't really know, but it is a possibility.

I'm not going to say you are wrong; but I will say I doubt it.
Would God give false visions/NDEs/anything?
Wouldn't that be lying?

What are 6 billion flames together?

The main thing that stops me believing this idea is that we are supposed to learn something.
I truely wonder if, for example, more advanced warfare is something we are supposed to learn.
Neither do I think Hitler and Stalin learned the right things...

Yes that's what I'm not to sure on as well.  Obviously many have died not learning what they need to... but perhaps when the veil is removed and they see what they have done was hideous, they will instantly drop to their knees and beg for forgiveness.  They will feel shame.  Whether that is the lake of fire as well - not really sure.

I would have to agree.  God is a good Father much more so than the best of dad's here on earth.  But, as a good Father he will not allow us to continue wallowing in our own filth.  I believe there comes a point in many lives where you just have to make a choice of faith.  I know I won't understand everything but God has left an unmistakeable mark in my life.  I must choose life or choose death.  I can live in sin, wallow in depression and despair or I can choose life.  I can embrace Holy Spirit fire of purification or I can accept the consequences of sin which is death.  I don't believe there is a middle ground on this issue.  I do not believe the grace of God nullifies us from deliverance from this carnal nature.

God's good gifts are salvation and deliverance.  I do not believe we can live in a state of carnal Christianity because the terms are an oxymoron.  We are called to dwell in the fire....seperation of the wheat and chaff.

I saw that video years ago, and honestly, that was the first time I had ever came across something about hell, and was surprised that anyone could believe in such a horrible place.  However these dreams probably did happen.  When people do get sick, and get put on lots of drugs and anesthetics, you can have strange hallucinations.  IN fact, some anesthesiologist stated that anestesia can cause one to have a hellish experience.  http://www.anesthesiaweb.org/hell.php.
I do not endorse the views of the "Unholy legacy of Abraham".  However it is true that one can feel as if they are burning, causing hellish nightmares.
