I just want to see what you think about it...

Looks like seven youths had a vision about Hell. This has been translated into Bulgarian and it's so disturbing. I don't know what to think. Seven youths together to have a vision about hell..

martincisneros

I had a similar vision of John Lennon being in Hell in my pre-UR days.  It never drew me closer to God.  It's a pointless vain imagination of the flesh.  It creates fear and despair, if it does anything at all.  And the only reason John gets picked on like that is because of these three things:

"Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink.... I don't know what will go first, rock 'n' roll or Christianity. We're more popular than Jesus now. Jesus was all right, but his disciples were thick and ordinary. It's them twisting it that ruins it for me." - John Lennon March 5 1966, Interview London Evening Standard

And then his more popular songs "Imagine" and "Give me some truth."

18 Let no one be arbitrating against you, who wants, in humility and the ritual of the messengers, to parade what he has seen, feignedly, puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19 and not holding the Head, out of Whom the entire body, being supplied and united through the assimilation and ligaments, is growing in the growth of God.
20 If, then, you died together with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as living in the world, are you subject to decrees:
21 "You should not be touching, nor yet tasting, nor yet coming into contact,"
22 (which things are all for corruption from use), in accord with the directions and teachings of men? --
23 which are (having, indeed, an expression of wisdom in a willful ritual and humility and asceticism) not of any value toward the surfeiting of the flesh.  Colossians 2:18-23

Paul Hazelwood

that is the problem with people taking something based on faith and demanding that it is proof.

I can make up a wild disgusting horrifying story and say I had a vision of hell, and who could prove otherwise?

It's ridiculous.

willieH: Hey-yo!  :afFro:

First, JOHN LENNON ...IS... in the state of DEATH and HADES (the grave), but is NOT in the MYTHICAL flames of HELL, for such a "HELL" doesn't even exist...

I can't remember where I read it, ...but JOHN LENNON, supposedly recanted his statement made as (youthful and arrogant) "Beatle" -- "we're more popular than God"...

And in his last years, made contributions to spiritual organizations... (not sure which ones), as an attempt in regret, ...to atone for his outrageous remarks...

I for one... choose to believe this GOOD report of him...

In our youth, many of us say and do things we later regret...  :sigh:

QuoteWe continued walking, seeing thousands and thousands of people.  There were young people, adults and elderly people suffering in torment.  We arrived in a place that looked like a big swimming pool of fire, with thousands of men and women inside of it.  Each of them had metal plate on their chest that read: "I am here for not giving tithes and offerings"  When I read that, I asked the Lord, "Lord, how can this be possible, that people are here for this reason??"  The Lord responded, "Yes, because these people thought that tithes and offerings were not important, when my Word shows it as a command."  In Malachi 3:8-9 it says "Will a man rob God?  Yet you are robbing Me.  But you say, 'How have we robbed Thee?'  In tithes and offerings.  You are cursed with curse, for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you."

Sounds like the blasphemous claim by Oral Roberts that he would be killed by God if he didn't raise a few million dollars, and Gary has pointed out that tithing isn't even Biblical, unless the members of 7 Youths are Levites.

Edit:

Oh and let's see what the Bible has to say about tithing:

" each according as he is purposed in his heart; not grievingly, or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Cor. 9:7

Well, I guess Paul is in hell for deceiving people into thinking there was no more tithe and that this website is a higher authority than the epistles of Paul :Yeahright:

Yeah, I remember that and remember laughing pretty hard when someone said  "How can we prevent people from sending money?"   LOL    :icon_jokercolor: :icon_jokercolor:

Are you saying you imagine Lennon in Hell or did you have a pure vision/taken up in the spirit like Paul?

willieH: Hi Brian... :hithere:

(Putting on the Fundamentalist hat): :hihat:
None of that matters though. A hard-line street evangelist spoke with, feels "there's no reason to assume Mother Teresa didn't go straight to hell, because she never gave any indication she believed in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior."

:rolleye:  About what this "hard lined STREET evangelist" ..."feels"  :wacko2:  ...in what he had to say to you...

First, ...Judgment is not ours to do... That someone helps a little old lady across the street is a good report... That is all I was saying about Lennon... Enough gossiping judmentalists  give "bad press" to the guy, ...I just gave a little note, saying he wasn't all bad...

Second, ...As far as Mother Teresa... ALL that anyone says of her, amounts to so much hearsay... God knows her life, and regardless of the reports men make of her or of  anyone else, her KNEE and TONGUE are amongst EVERY which shall bow and CONFESS CHRIST...   :bgdance:

Quote from: Brian on December 02, 2008, 07:29:23 PMA recant or display of regret does not equal true repentance (turning away from sin) and embracing Jesus as Lord and Savior, being born again, surrendering your life to God.

What is ..."true repentence"?  :JCThink:  Only GOD knows what "true repentence" IS... it cannot be observed by one sinner, of another...

Because one ceases "sin" in observable areas, does not mean one is FREE of it, as the Apostles John (1 John 1:8) and Paul (Rom 7:25) noted...

If one is not FREE of it oneself ("truly repentent" - according to our "street evangelist"), one is hardly qualified to JUDGE another's "sin" or degree of "true repentence"...

JESUS commented to the Apostles about FORGIVENESS... and said, that 70x7 times (continuous) was in order!    Each time one asked for forgiveness... they were to be, FORGIVEN... (Matt 18:21-22)

Quote from: Brian on December 02, 2008, 07:29:23 PMI personally see no reason to vilify one person over another in regards the them having "sent themselves to hell" though. As my old analogy goes; Christ didn't spend one second more or less suffering on the cross for my sins than for Hitler's.

The LAMB ...TOOK AWAY... the SIN of the WORLD... which includes ALL of it!

No one "sends themselves" to "hell"... it doesn't even exist as taught by Orthodoxy...

If ones works cannot "qualify" anyone for HEAVEN, ...how may they "qualify" them for "hell"????  :mshock:

Quote from: Brian on December 02, 2008, 07:29:23 PMAnd people do go straight to hell/hades and are in torment there, according to Luke 16:19-31. And to say that passage isn't an accurate description of what happens to unrepentant sinners after they die, "would make it the most misleading passage of Scripture in the entire Bible".

The Parable notes the "rich man" as entering HADES which means GRAVE... not HELL... Which by the way (though a gulf is between them), Lazerus is there ALSO! (albeit "afar off")

HADES is the world of the DEAD... the DEAD KNOW not ANYTHING... (Ecc  9:5 )  :dontknow:  They do not partake of LIVING conversations... Their lives are testimonys which enter the GRAVE... which is in actuality the CONVO between the Rich man and Abraham...

This parable is about the chasm between FAITH and UNBELIEF... not Heaven vs Hell... :mnah:

It is the testimony of the JEWS (rich man) versus the GENTILES (lazerus)... which is WHY Moses and the Prophets are part of the subject matter...

Notice that Abraham says to the RICH [Jewish] MAN of his BROTHERS (Vs 29):  "THEY HAVE Moses & the Prophets, let THEM [JEWS] hear them [Moses & the Prophets] --- Who HAS, Moses & the Prophets? ...the JEWS!

The Torment of the GRAVE is, that if one enters there without REPENTENCE, they shall rise in the NAKEDNESS of their SHAME... (Rev 3:18)

The FLAME of the TONGUE is also mentioned here (vs 24)... (see James 3:6)... The TONGUE is that which men cannot TAME... as MEN speak EVIL of one another, freely CONDEMNING others, and give FALSE REPORTS to them, ...in the place of the TRUTH...

The "bosom of Abraham" is FAITH... not Heaven...

FYI... This parable does not mention HEAVEN, GOD, nor CHRIST, nor even... that the RICH man necessarily did anything wrong!  :dontknow:

Or same complot....
They have their reports in 'normal' and 'dramatized' version. Say enough I think.

1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

I see a lot of truth in his words.
I think Rock 'n' Roll or music in general is more popular than Christianity.
I'm not sure how to interpret 'disciples' but I think he means church leaders. If so I think he's right.

Hi Martin,

I do see a shrinking of attendance at a lot of Churches. How long do you think this will take? Do you think it will be during our life time that Christianity as we know it today will vanish?

Willie,

Thank you so much for your post about Lazarus and the rich man. I agree with you.

John Lennon was depraved at the time that he said that, so I don't put any stock in that whatsoever.  Not too sure where you're looking 'cause all of the Churches that I'm aware of are ministering to tens and hundreds of thousands.  We'll likely have congregations in the U.S. of over 100,000 by 2012.  Lots of congregations are already between 25,000 and 50,000 in the U.S.  People are making a vast exodus from denominational/traditional Churches and are flocking to where the Holy Spirit's being poured out, inspite of the blasphemies of those that say it's apostacy instead.  Those that say that the work of the Holy Spirit is apostacy will progress no further, though.  Jesus had quite a few things to say about those that regarded the work of the Holy Spirit as apostacy in Matthew 12, Mark 3, etc.  A lot of people do their best to separate St. Paul's message from the miraculous, but to do so is to not share his faith at all.  He didn't go to the Churches in the wisdom of man's words, but in demonstration of power and the Holy Spirit, as he said, so that people's faith wouldn't be in the wisdom of man but in the power of God.  The Gospel is the power of God, according to St. Paul so that "no power = no Gospel."

young people in Hell? What happened to the age of accountability? BTW, God told me not to read it, but I did anyway :( Wish I'd listened.

And who are these seven youths and why aren't they out there preaching this?  I'll tell you why, they don't exist, and since they don't exist, they can't be questioned.
